  1. It's a fun set. My two favorite pairings are /Dark and /Kin. Build for Def and play in the middle of everything for Irradiation and the Nuke 😉
  2. Never played Psi attack on a Def/Corr but everyone seems happy with the new changes. What are the must haves and the skippable powers? And slotting advice for money no object style builds? Mids isn't updated so I can't play around with builds currently. Thanks!
  3. Arrow. Oil Slick and fire is ridiculous.
  4. I have been playing a Fire/TA Corr for awhile and with the debuffs and damage it's a fun toon to play. OSA is just ridiculous and fire is good damage overall. I was thinking of porting TA over to Blaster for even more damage. But I was wondering if Fire is a good pairing? I don't see any Fire/TA builds here so I was wondering if it's poop or if Archery is just better with TA? Any advice is appreciated.
  5. So I have a Plant/Poison and I am struggling with Incarnate choices. I unlocked Alpha and really don’t know what’s best…I am struggling a little with End at 50 during fights.
  6. Still trying to decide if I want to go Def/Corr/Troller. But I definitely am in the planning stages of a Pain build. What is the optimal slotting using IO sets for each power? Not many pain build floating around.
  7. Man you guys are going over the top with assistance. Much appreciated. Plenty of information here to work with 🙂
  8. Did a little rearranging and came up with this. Came close to Ranged Def cap. I can get over it by using Artillery in Acid Arrow but I think I want to try and see how much the Debuff helps along with the Proc in the Shield Breaker set. 9. Awesome information. Had no idea about the auto hit nature of everything. Thanks for the help and I will reevaluate the build today.

  11. I have a few Corrs that play really well. I have a Ice/Nature and a Ice/Kin that are super fun to play. I have never given Fire a shot simply because...well everyone plays Fire. But it's time to try it. I also have never played /TA and I have heard good things. So why not do something completely new all the way around? I have built a couple of Fire/ toons in Mids (a Blaster and a Corr) but never played them. And I have gleaned a little bit of info about /TA in the Def and Troller forums. So 1st question...should I be doing this as a Corr or Def? I plan to play at range so my plan is to attempt to cap ranged Def. But I am having a little trouble trying to accomplish all my goals. So here is the build. I am not a Proc monster builder. I'd rather have set bonuses and more Defense than be completely exposed and rely on Proc damage. I'm just THAT guy. Sorry. 12. So I've never played Pain Dom before. Thinking of giving it a go. My first 50 on live was Emp/Dark but I can't bring myself to play an Empath again and have seen many say that Pain is more useful in many ways so why not ty it. I play more Trollers and Corrs than Defenders but it's more because I am usually more focused on crowd control or damage. I want to try to be support focused for a change. What are the skippable powers in Pain? And what are the best sets to slot? If it's better on a troller then I'm open to switch to a troller as well. Also was thinking of trying Beam Rifle with it if they work well together? Never played Beam before either. My favorite blast set is Ice but I have so many of those that I wanted to try something different. If Beam works well, what are the skippable powers and set slotting options? Thanks!
  13. In the Airplane theme...
  14. Agree the IO/Incarnate system broke the game. For this reason when I start a team I'll run 50 +4/+8 mishes but only invite 3 or 4 people max. Run the mishes with 4-5 people and it's much more fun. You actually see each person's contributions and what each character brings to the table. Until we can have the ability to just turn off all the IO/Incarnate stuff for everyone on the team as a mish difficulty...this is what I do.

  16. Ice/Kin is working great. Endurance usage is a bit less than my Fire/Kin. I like having two rains as well with a little bit of extra effects in the attacks as opposed to fire which is all damage and no extra effects. Although fire does have that big instant in your face damage which is fun. But I feel like every Corr I see nowadays is a Fire/Kin...which makes me want to log to another character.
  17. I think if you really want to get away from Clarion then I would try to get Rune of Protection in the sorcery pool. One of my corruptors has it and it lasts 90secs with a 145sec recharge. So up over half the time? You can click it after your are mezzed which is nice. I think it is more powerful than clarion as well. I usually take flight and spirit ward to get to Rune.
  18. Haha. I can’t tell you how many Illusion controllers I’ve seen faceplant by trying to take on a couple of big mobs. Just definitely not on the same level of mob control as an actual control set like...well...any other set 🙂 Illusion is fantastic at what it does...crowd control just doesn’t happen to be one of those traits.
  19. The real question is do you like to play a controller? Because Illusion has no real “control” to speak of. It’s more of a mini MM. If you like crowd control then Illusion is not it.
  20. Same...already playing a Fire/Kin Corr. Much more fun thus far.
  21. Yeah I was toying with moving those exact sets around 😉 Debating one way or the other for a good several minutes until I just left it alone 😉 One has more resistance and recharge the other has more defense.
  22. So in an attempt to make a less expensive version of this build I came up with this. The numbers are close with some deficiencies here and there. But if you want to save $350 Million or so influence then this is pretty close and as you acquire some more cash then I'd say build towards Darkir's final. But I made this as a transition build for us poorer people 😉 Villain Plan by Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer 2.7.2.10 https://github.com/Crytilis/mids-reborn-hero-designer Click this DataLink to open the build!
