  1. You want a Nemesis invasion? Run the full Heldenjaeger or Inconspicuous Female 39757 Signature arc.
  2. That looks like the same ghostly aura that the Time Echoes have in Mender Ramiel's arc, so it's either Incarnate or Ouroborus timey wimey shenanigans.
  3. How difficult would it be to add a color tint-able clown nose? Just a little ball, nothing fancy.
  4. On a similar note to all the KB shenanigans, back on live my Gravity Dom would use Wormhole to yoink the Rocketmen off of the towers in Aeon City, out over the retaining walls, and almost out of draw distance into the ocean.
  5. I'm that weird guy who pawns anything that I don't need on the market for 5 bucks. Recipes, boosters, catalysts, salvage, doesn't matter; I still have more than enough to fully kit out any new character I take past 20.
  6. I believe Malta's justification is that Battle Maiden isn't a "powered" being, she's a human with a nano-tech powered halberd. All of her abilities are either standard sword and crossbow attacks, buffs from the halberd, or the result of decades of combat training and battles on Warrior Earth. So just like all of Malta (and the Knives of Artemis), she's just a soldier with cool toys. As it stands after the Dark Astoria events, Malta may be a little weakened but they have their three named leader/Arch-Villains back and are probably working on rebuilding their forces. Being a shadowy para-military organization no one knows just how strong they are, and the few bases we know they have are in very sensitive locations (Warburg, etc) Edit: And yeah, Positron's a schmuck. The old lead dev Matt Millar's personal character.
  7. While I joined after the initial stuff, sometime around Issue 4 or 5, the only Costume Design Kerfluffle I remember was the first draft of Penelope Yin's grown up look. There was a whole lot more bare skin, which obviously didn't mesh with the idea of a freshly promoted teen hero. Though I've never really been a fan of Sister Psyche's outfit, what with the green nipple tape lines.
  8. While I can't say for certain the original reasons, I vaguely remember something about Galaxy being redundant; especially after Atlas got it's makeover. Atlas was the preferred starting hub, so when they needed to revamp the tutorial they decided to drop Galaxy as the secondary starting zone. (I was happy with Outbreak/Breakout myself) The Lore AMA series on the old Paragon Wiki says that there was discussions about revisiting Galaxy as a 40+ or 50+ zone, but things never got past the drawing board before the big shutdown. I think that right now Galaxy is stuck in the "Evacuate the civilians and contain the Shivans" phase. Plus I think Galaxy was an easier place to clear out of anything important. The only thing that didn't have a direct counterpart in Atlas was the Warshade specific contact, which was an easy relocation.
  9. I was lucky enough to sell a pair of PAPs the day they were added and made roughly 400 million, enough to comfortably kit out two characters. (No purples, but ATOs and LotGs) . Now I'm getting curious about buying that mini morph costume thing, at current rates it'd take about 875 million inf. I'm a filthy casual. I don't plan on farming, and I don't plan on shoving my face against the belt sander that is pick-up Hard mode ITFs. So, I guess I don't plan on getting the mini morph thing.
  10. I didn't want to make a whole new thread for one question, so this seemed like the best place to ask. It looks like now Placate takes Taunt sets (or Threat Duration sets, to be technical). If I throw a Perfect Zinger Proc in Placate, how would that work? Would the target take the damage and then get Placated, or would it be a waste? And I know Placate has fallen out of favor, but it's still a nice power that doesn't need more slots in my build.
  11. I've got replacement tracks for the BoomBox emote collection, so it's a hoot when I storm a Freakshow rave and they've got a Shostakovich waltz on at full blast.
  12. Are there any threats in the game that actually require having insane -Regen to beat? The only things that come to mind are Reichsman and maybe the Lord Of Winter, both of which have 6 digit HP values, but they're not impossible. I guess if you're trying to solo them, perhaps, but both are parts of gimmick fights. The TF/SF you meet Reichsman gives you temp powers to neuter him, and the Lord of Winter is a LFG league event that has a minimum requirement of 12 characters.
  13. Mostly it comes down to a matter of time for me. From what I've seen in the beta forums it seems like the Hard mode ITF is a brutal slog that requires min/max building your character with all kinds of expensive IOs and grinding out T4 Incarnate powers. I've heard that the Aeon SF is loaded with all kinds of lore and easter eggs but the only teams my characters can survive on are the "Blitz the Base Difficulty for the reward enhancement" teams. I'm sure there's a target audience for Hard Mode stuff, but I'm not it.
  14. When I need cheering up, I take my robotics MM out for a stroll in a Mayhem Mission. Just loads of nice, calming explosions, lasers, and property damage.
  15. There were two Egyptian pharaohs named Nectanebo who made up the 30th (and last) ruling dynasty, before outside kingdoms came in and conquered the area around 342 BC. The in game Nectanebo may have been one of those two pharaohs, but also was one of the early great mages and teacher of magical arts. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Ingame_References
  16. I don't know if it's official canon, but Lady Grey is rumored to be up there in age as well, possibly from the 1800s as well.
  17. I am against the idea of "'everything's 50" or "everything level-less". The game needs progression, parts of the world that are designed to cater to only certain level ranges, so players can feel a sense of growth. i.e. "These Skulls are no threat to me, I should go find more dangerous challenges elsewhere." If there's no reason to change zones, then people are just going to camp out in whatever zone has the shortest travel distances to missions or street sweeping mobs. That said, I would like to see what some lower/mid level groups would field if they had a few end game mobs, like the alternate dimension Family mission Unai Kemen offers.
  18. I know that most of the standard zone events are on timers; some are visible (Praetoria events, Brickstown escapes, etc) and some are not. (The Ghost Ship, original Issue 0 Giant Monsters like Jurrasik, etc) I also know that some can be started by players in the zone, like the Council War Walker in Boomtown, summoning Caleb in Nerva, and the Kronos Titan appearing from the mission arc Crimson gives. But what about things like invasions? I've heard rumors about how the Rikti invade after a Lady Grey TF is completed, or Nemesis invasions may happen when the Pandora's Box final mission is completed. Is there an official list of major events that players can force to start?
  19. I see the workers in northern Steel Canyon and Port Oakes wearing them, and I'm surprised that it's not an option for players. I could be just missing where in the costume creator they are, but I'm sure there's tons of builders, engineers, architects, and Village People fans who'd love a proper Hard Hat option.
  20. Does anyone have a collection of images and descriptions for the event critters? I'd love to see them but every single invasion I've been in on has devolved into such a massive cluster@&@# that I have to target through some random league pet to even shoot at things.
  21. I would like more range on the Head shape sliders. I want to make more weird looking people, or cartoon characters, or aliens. I know that clipping would be an issue, but it'd be on such a small scale that it'd be hard to see at a distance. That and more animation options for ranged attacks. Poison has way too much spitting for my scientist character types.
  22. Caverns of Transcendence Trial Almost entirely redone system-side. Objectives now track on the navigation telling you how many obelisks remain. Koago must now be defeated to complete the trial. Mob spawns re-evaluated, many packs had a 20% of spawning, causing the trial map to sometimes generate as an almost entirely empty instance. In set interval checks, surviving mobs on the map will have a chance to start chasing players depending on team size and how many obelisks have been completed. So, does that mean the rewards for this are getting looked at as well, since it can't be sneaked solo?
  23. I was always under the impression that the blue lines were to show the way to the Hydra Sewer Trial doorway, and the badges just happened to be at the various nodes connecting the zone branches.
