  1. Been a while but I'm back with another multi-arc story! Of course I'm all out of Mission Architect slots again... (Worth it, though.) Story Details The Incendiary Breaches Morality: Heroic Levels: 25 - 45 Keywords: Non-canon, Ideal for teams, Custom characters Length: Very Long (2x 5 missions) The Incendiary Breaches, Part 1: Planting Bombs (Arc ID 50973) Episodes 1 - 5 A domestic terrorist organization is attempting to intimidate the PPD into releasing an incarcerated ally of theirs by bombing and threatening to bomb various locations throughout the city. Assist Lt. Binh Ngo Quang of the Paragon City Fire Department and thwart these efforts by locating and defusing planted explosives, searching for and rescuing civilians caught up in these threats and apprehending the miscreants responsible. Pretty straight forward for herowork, right? Right? The Incendiary Breaches, Part 2 - Bombing Plants (Arc ID 50974) Episodes 6 - 10 Events continue to unfold while assisting Lt. Binh Ngo Quang of the Paragon City Fire Department. The actions taken by the Knights of Nitro earlier have inadvertently led to the emergence of an unfamiliar threat now let loose upon downtown Paragon City. Something vaguely humanoid and green now roams the streets, bringing conflict, destruction and a forgotten history lesson of sorts in its wake. What's more, this particular something is making the Devouring Earth nervous. Story Features - Familiar baddies in pre-existing groups as well as restyled to be part of brand new groups. - Custom character designs across 7 factions, both heroic and not-so-heroic. Over 100 custom character designs between these two arcs! - Lots of story text and flavor text (everything has info if you right-click) but not an insane amount that is actually required to read while in a mission. This means you don't have to stop fighting bad guys or exploring maps quite so much to get caught up on the plot (e.g., reading Clues, NPC dialogue, etc). Some of the lore hinted at but not fully explored in the arc(s) may feature in future Mission Architect stories. - Less commonly used mission maps. Some missions involve very large maps, even, providing plenty of opportunity for beat-em-up fun and - gasp - splitting up. Caveats - The first mission of Part 1 is legitimately and immediately failable, imparting a real sense of urgency. Be advised. - All of the missions of Part 1 are soloable but it is highly recommended that you bring a team for Part 2. There are some big, big fights in Part 2 and you're going to need some serious damage output to overcome some regen. - Do note that these arcs max out at Level 45. This means NO incarnate powers. Sorry/not sorry. If you give this a play-through, let me know if you encounter any errors, strange NPC behaviors and typos. There are a great many constraints and limitations in Mission Architect and I did the best I could. Please be kind in your comments. Enjoy. Interested in more? Check out: Sergeant DaCosta's Task Force (40 - 54) - Agents of Change, Part 1: The American Way (Arc ID 48597) - Agents of Change, Part 2 - Taken Identities (Arc ID 48598) - Agents of Change, Part 3 - A Foreign Soil (Arc ID 48599)
  2. Anyone know if there is a list, spreadsheet or something that documents the various maps available in Mission Architect? In particular, what special environmental details these maps might have? I'm looking for a map to use that has the Nemesis big drilling machines in it and can't find one at present. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
  3. I followed the advice above and sent a /petition requesting more slots and wound up getting an additional 3. I guess it's going to be parceled out little by little until I demonstrate the fact that I can put out some legit content. Grateful, all the same. 😄 Also, to steal an idea I've noticed here: I'm definitely going to start putting out arcs as seasons and individual missions as episodes. Such a great idea. Totally changes my perspective on the content I'm creating.
  4. Thanks, @UltraAlt and @Jiro Ito! This is all super helpful and encouraging. I hope to bring more content to MA and you just helped make that possible. 😄
  5. Hi all, While I was certainly up to date on all things Mission Architecty back in the days of Live, I'm fairly new to what's been going on over here in HC Land. So, a few questions: - I've been seeing SFMA mentioned a lot. What does it stand for? - Is it possible to earn more architect slots somehow? I published a 3-arc story and am now without any slots to publish anything else. - Is there a global chat channel for MA discussion? Or is this forum all there is for the architecture sub-community? - Are there any other abbreviations in MA descriptions I should know about? It's been great telling stories and designing characters for the greater playerbase to experience once again. So, thanks for this opportunity.
  6. anyone successfully do this? it's a great idea however i can't see how this wouldn't drop a fully visible body after it is defeated.
  7. Not sure if anyone's doing any Mission Architect content outside of farms these days so I thought I'd mention that I did a thing. In particular, said thing is a Mission Architect story that spans across 3 arcs (i.e., 15 missions), basically making a task force of sorts. Story Details Sergeant DaCosta's Task Force Morality: Heroic Levels: 40 - 54 Keywords: Non-canon, Ideal for teams, Custom characters Length: Very Long (3x 5 missions) Agents of Change, Part 1: The American Way (Arc ID 48597) Chapters 1 - 5 As a simple favor for Captain Nolan, you've been asked to help out with PPD Sergeant Giancarlo DaCosta's department as they have been stretched thin lately. But now something suspicious is going down in PI and you find yourself having more than the occasional run-in with the US Agency as you go investigate. Wait, the US what? Who even are these guys? Agents of Change, Part 2 - Taken Identities (Arc ID 48598) Chapters 6 - 10 Your involvement with the US Agency isn't over yet. Your continuing investigation for Sgt. DaCosta has now looped in SWAT Lieutenant Martin Zarovsky's own investigation, bringing you to some familiar (and, in some cases, too familiar) faces as you both chase down the truth behind the impersonating act you witnessed earlier. Is a larger conspiracy at hand? Agents of Change, Part 3 - A Foreign Soil (Arc ID 48599) Chapters 11 - 15 The truth behind the seeming duplicity you witnessed earlier has revealed something of an inhuman plot and it would appear that the US Agency is mixed up in it. But are things really what they seem to be? Your continuing investigation is taking you places and Sergeant DaCosta is looking to your task force team to save the day. Story Features & Caveats - Custom baddies as well as allies across 4 unique (and well-populated) factions. - So much flavor text, so much story text: Pay attention to the Clues gained and Mission Start/End Popups. Everything is right-clickable for more info. There is story everywhere. Even some little jokes and references. - Despite the amount of flavor added to parts of the arcs, some missions only really require a couple items to complete (in spite of the number of glowing things making glowie noises at you). - 4 of the total 15 missions will be legitimately fail-able to impart a sense of urgency. So be careful. - There are a couple defeat-alls but none of them will be timed missions. To balance this out, there are also some small mapped missions. - The difficulty increases the further you go into the entire 15 mission arc. The difficulty starts at Easy from Missions 1-5, then it scales up a little to medium for Missions 6-10 and then it's mostly medium-hard for Missions 11-15. If you give this a play-through, let me know if you encounter any errors and typos. As it is, I encountered quite a few bugs in dealing with Mission Architect and made do the best I could. Please be kind in your comments. Enjoy.
