  1. Using the tweaks Zect recommended, I was able to incorporate some of your tweaks in this build as well. If I took a ST hold which would you recommend? I would have to give up Power Build Up and go to a different Resistance shield with less S/L. I could see myself using another hold running solo but I am not sure I would ever use it in a team unless we are purposely stacking holds. I am not sold Entangling Aura in the first place really, I have it slotted for the +7.5 recharge bonus. If I frankenslotted like your build I would have another slot also. Not sure what I would do with it. Suggestions?
  2. Again, I very much appreciate your input! I will switch around the slotting as you suggest and I changed the LotG in Manuevers to 4 Shieldwall and a LotG +recharge. Two questions. 1) Damage proc or FF +recharge proc in Upthrust. Leaning toward damage since I have quite a bit of built in recharge and the Seismic Shockwaves effect Uun was talking about. @) Where would you put the two free slots? Right now, I put a GladArmor Res in Wild Growth for the resistance Uun suggested, as well as moving the GLad Armor +Def from Tough to Wild Growth for the global bonus. I put the other in Maneuvers with another LotG for the 10% regen global bonus.

  6. Thanks for your input. I swiped a slot from Sleet (Achilles Heel) and added an Ice Mistrals Chance for Cold Damage to Infridigate. It is my opening attack power in nearly every instance. Also thanks for the formula on procs. They are one of the areas I don't really know much about, so I guess! I have it copied to my notes now for future reference. I also did not know about global procs. I thought all procs had to be activated to get the benefit. I have the Glad Armor +3 Def in mt Tough so I will probably keep the shields as they are. Thanks again!
  7. THANK YOU for your helpful insight. I love when people tell me why they recommend slotting or choosing a power rather than just telling me to switch. Does it show that I have a Steadfast -kb when viewed? I have the Steadfast R/E and R/+Def when it comes up on mine. If so I may need to look at downloading the latest Mids patch. Would you still recommend dropping that slot if that was the case? I will probably steal it from Weaken Resolve and add the UG +HP. It makes sense to swap enhancements sets like you recommend in TKB and Will Dom. To be perfectly honest, I did not realize until just now the the Overwhelming Force proc had a damage component to it. So many builds to go back and look at now. Does boosting the LotG boost the shields that much? It seems to just show a 1% increase. I have a personal preference of attuning all my IOs becasue I regularly go back for lower level content. So if it's a marginal boost I would rather just stay attuned. I have never used Weaken Resolve in any build. I just picked it as a filler power. I considered Vengeance and Victory Rush also, but leaned toward WR because it was something new, it didn't require a dead teammate and I already have Heat Loss. I am open to other fillers. I saw in game there was a HO that had ACC and Slow components so I will probably put a 53 version of that into Snow Storm. My choice of Psychic Scream vs Psionic Tornado is based off of assumption and poor reading comprehension. I saw the title and assumed it was a power like Whirlwind, which I am not partial too, so I skipped it. The change will be made. You will have a hard time convincing me to go away from Defensive shield powers. Old habits and play styles are hard to break. Although I am still considering Soul Drain. I never was into hover blasting, probably because I am clumsy when it comes to movement in FLY/Hover. I look forward to your input on future builds! Thanks again.

  9. I just updated my launcher and now I keep getting this message. cityofheroes.exe - Bad Image C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DCIMAN32.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it conatins an error....... I have deleted and reinstalled twice. What do I do next ?

  13. Not to hijack your post Galbadine, but I also have a new Grav/FF and have never played either set. After reading through this and Redlynne's post on Grav/Time, this is a build I blended together from other's builds. I was wondering what people thought. I do intend on playing the Grav power set like Redlynne outlines including using Dimension Shift. Any thoughts, advice on play, slotting or anyhting else?   15. I saw there were a few threads on Plant/Thorn so I posted my builds on the most recent thread by Guardian Rhykon. I would be curious to know what you think. @DreadShinobi I started making the second build based on your build in this thread but I stopped because I didn't want to rely on any temp powers for perma Hasten/Dom.
  16. I don't want to hijack your thread Guardian but I also did not want to create another Plant/ Thorn page so I apologize if it gets away from what you were looking for. I have two builds for my Plant/Thorn. My original I did based on what I remembered from live. There are few procs built into, it has lower defense but it has a massive amount of recharge. The second I started introducing procs and cannibalizing slots from some powers like Build Up and Thorntrops at the cost of some recharge. I still have perma Hasten and perma dom without any incarnate help. I am looking for some tweaks to make it even more awesome. Price is not a consideration. Also I run all my recipes attuned except purples and PVPs and then go +5 for all generic IOs.   19. Nice build Dakir. I have a couple of questions for you. Is this a build that you use or put together to help out? What does your recommended attack chain look like? Since you skipped Jacob's Ladder and took Energy Drain later in the build, is the attack chain for lower level play still smooth or is there any down time? I see you put procs into Assassin's Shock. Is any of the damage from these procs increased when done from Hide? Do you use Electric Shackles or is it a "mule" power? Does the Force Feedback proc hit often in Lightning Rod? On a different note, how do you set an individual enhancement to +5 on Mids? Thanks!

  22. Anyone have a build for a BR/Regen Sentinel? I would also take any tips for attack chains or anything related to Sentinels since I have never played one.
  23. Thanks for your input! Do you know how much Defense is lost when I attack out of stealth and lose part of the bonus? If it reduces it to the level of Maneuvers then I think I have Maneuvers would have more utility. Is the Achilles Heel Proc worthwhile in Earthquake? If I give up that slot up and do a little more rearranging on your build I can get an additional 6.25% Recharge at the cost of Ranged Defense. That puts hasten within 4 seconds of perma. My play style with this character is usually Stone Cage or Tremor>Stalagmites or Volcanic Gasses>Earthquake>Melt Armor>Fissure> Fireball. That clears out a fair amount of targets and then I go into melee range and clean up with Stone Mallet, Heavy Mallet and Seismic Smash. As of right now I think that would be a reasonable trade off. Plus there is also the -tohit from tremor.
  24. I would like some input on improving my Earth/Earth Dominator. Influence is not an option. Builds most be playable for all levels so I don;t like builds that skip early powers because they aren't needed for Incarnate content nor dependent on having a certain Incarnate power.
