  1. Dual Blades is better on a scrapper. Not saying you can't run it on a brute, stalker or tank... but it is best on a scrapper.
  2. I find it hard to believe the Absorb lasts long enough for it to be worth it.... I have it recharging in about 50-60 seconds. Doesn't the Absorb get shaved off well before you can reapply it?
  3. I happened to roll a Nature/Earth defender before seeing this thread, but the thread has piqued my interest greatly. A few questions: Is Wild Bastion really worth it? It seems no one is taking Rock Shards but I rather enjoy it. Also no one seems to take Entomb, is there a reason? Regrowth seems very anemic... does it get better? And does Soul Drain really make you feel like you are pumping out good damage, or does it just make the Defender damage bearable.
  4. Dual blades/bio. I've tried others, and nothing compared to it. Good AoE, good Single target. Survivability with defensive adaptation, extra damage when needed with offensive adaptation. All around good, solid, balanced scrapper that can do anything the game throws at it.
  5. Have you soloed +4x8 Awakened mobs? Even better as mentioned above, add in Players debuffed and enemies buffed to TFs and it will be really hard.

  7. Turns out I cannot load the normal server either.... Will do more troubleshooting (like restarting computer).
  8. Loads up to a black screen and freezes when clicked. Have re-verified files and tried both the 32 and 64 beta clients.
  9. Perhaps you know more than I do about this, but I am under the impression that the ability to slot a set is dependent on pretty much a text file saying 'hey, this power accepts x sets'. What the power does with that enhancement is another ball game. It is still a bug that it SAYS it accepts Universal Damage and Stalker ATOs but does not allow them to be slotted. We can debate that they should or should not be slotted. True, it doesn't do damage so damage should not be allowed to be slotted, but it does knockback and knockback is not slottable. It would be a superb place to stick the Stalker ATO. But we also should keep idiots from slotting actual damage in a set that doesn't do damage.... kinda like being able to slot endurance modification in Unstoppable while the recovery portion is not effected by enhancements... but you can. ...
  10. Well that's good.... cause i was just trying to slot a recharge into it. Assassin's Mark Recharge/Global Chance to recharge BU.
  11. Stalker Ice Melee>Ice Patch says it allows Stalker ATOs but will not actually let them be slotted. Was going to be a great place to stick my Assassin's Mark chance for build up/recharge ATO 😞 I have not tested, but I bet Universal Damage Set also is a no go.
  12. I've been working on changing the damage scalars.... It was not something that was anticipated to be changed easily or often so it is kinda obfuscated.... But, once completed should correct all numbers instead of changed all the damage numbers of all the powers.

  14. This would be great and I could whole hardheartedly get behind a project that would create a Mids equivalent onto a website. The Mids App, as you may know, how SO much functionality build into it that replicating it instantly on any other platform is just not possible. I am still learning new 'things' that this app has functionality for and new ways for bugs to crop up. IE only 1% of people use the print out function... and guess what? Those bugs stay hidden for a long time. I sadly am well aware of my capabilities in this field, and I would not be any help in setting up a Mids Website. I do not have website knowledge or enough programming abilities to be anything but a hindrance to others. I could, however, create a front or back end converter to current and former mids builds that could then be used for this endeavor, seeing as I have intimate knowledge of how Mids saves and loads character data. My colleagues implemented a data dump system with JSON (never used JSON before) which dumped all the database data into a more readable format, so they might be more helpful in getting the info you need to set up a web based Hero builder with the relevant database infrastructure. TLDR: Great idea->Web-based platform is really the best answer for the limitations of Mids right now. Someone needs to do it!
  15. Yeah.... the import functionality needs to be worked on. Works sometimes, but not all the times. I just don't have enough broken test builds to find out what is breaking.

  17. I can confirm that Brute Resistance numbers are off in the most recent version that was released. The person responsible has been sacked and we are working on finding out exactly how said sacked person was able to accomplish the feat in order to reverse it. Other option is to go back and edit everything by hand which will inevitably lead to more errors because Pine makes mistakes.
  18. Perhaps my initial statement was unclear. Pet dead. Target pet. Click Fallout. Fallout does not activate. Steals your endurance. Fallout is not on recharge. Click Fallout again. Fallout steals endurance, does not activate, does not recharge. You can completely drain your endurance in 2 seconds if you are spamming this ability on a dead pet.
  19. Attempting to use Fallout on a downed pet uses endurance but does not activate Fallout. I personally feel you should be able to body nuke your pets.... but I might be alone in that feeling. However trying to do so should not drain all your endurance and not activate the power.
  20. While playing my DB/Bio scrapper I occasionally after loading into a zone or mission I notice little green 'heal' numbers floating over my head while attacking. After looking into my combat attributes I see that Defensive Adaptation is kicking in as well as Offensive Adaptation. I have not been able to find a great way to replicated this, but it happens frequently enough for me to think something is up. I rarely use Defensive Adaptation and normally just keep Offensive Adaptation toggled on. I just seem to be getting the healing ticks, not the extra defense or resistance.
  21. I wrote the dps calculator and attack chain formulator ... a long time ago. It never 100% worked all the time, but was decent enough. What it tries to do automagically is pick your highest DPA attack and then fill in your next highest DPA attack, and so on until that final Highest DPA attack is recharged. It will calculate recharge of other attacks and so could do HighestDPA, secondDPA, thirdDPA, secondDPA, HighestDPA. I tried to get it to calculate Build up +damage mechanics, but I don't think I ever got the math correct. As far as perfection mechanics.... I don't thing so. Thinking Logically, for Staff Melee, best attack chain would be using Precise Strike, Serpent's Reach and Sky Splitter as those are your three highest DPA attacks, followed with Innocuous Strikes if you have the -Res proc in it, though its DPA is rather low. Mercurial Blow is rather much lower DPA than Precise Strike, but could be a good filler instead of precise strike if you put the AH proc in it. You can reliably assume Sky Splitter should be able to recharge in around 5 seconds, meaning for an average chain, you will want Precise Strike->Serpent's Reach->Sky Splitter. With perma hasten level recharge, you should be able to get that attack chain.
