  1. HAH! Higher expenses this month means the window stays open long enough for me to actually donate this time, BWAHAHAHAHA.
  2. Thanks everyone for the input! I was leaning towards Devices because I think I'd enjoy that secondary more, but Temporal does seem to have more of a synergy. Plus temporal aligns better with what I wanted to name the character, so I guess I'm going with that, and will have to think of another blaster to use Devices. 😉 Thanks again everyone!
  3. There are so many things in this that I'm excited about. A tip of the hat to whomever listened to my pleas for a tailor in Ouro. ❤️
  4. Hmm, okay that's good to know! I do like the idea of Storm/Devices, and both Cat5 and Time Bomb have the long build to payoff, so that seems to work.
  5. Cool, thanks for the input! Time does also have an advantage in not having too many powers that need clicking often, so it doesn't compete with Storm Blast for your attention. Devices is similar in that regard, but Plant looks more clicky.
  6. Hello friends! I'd like to roll up a Storm Blast blaster. Which of the following three secondaries would work best? Devices, Plant Manipulation, or Temporal Manipulation? I've played Storm Blast to level 50 twice on corruptors, and want to see what it's like on a blaster. I have a newly-50 Fire/Fire and a 31 Archery/Tactical Arrow Blaster, both of which I enjoy thoroughly. I also love Storm Blast regardless of how well it performs (or doesn't) against other blast sets. I love the barely-controlled chaos of Storm/Storm (my now and forever favorite combo), and my Storm/Nature is also cool. My main concern for a Storm Blaster is overall synergy. Something like "Don't pair Storm Blast with (X), because you spend so much time (behavior) that (consequence)." or "(Y) is a good secondary for Storm Blast because it lets you (do something fun) or (makes something easier)." Stuff along those lines. I appreciate any insight yall can share! ^_^
  7. I'll add my excitement to the pile, I shouted and called my husband in from the living room when I saw the Seer/Oracle costume. I'm so grateful to the team that made this happen. ❤️ I can't wait to read 70 pages of patch notes. I've read some very long patch notes for Baldur's Gate 3, so out of curiosity I pasted the 5 major updates' patch notes into a document as unformatted text. The updates are 32, 9 (barely), 44, 35, and 14 pages long, respectively. So I know to set aside a couple hours for this. 😄 I'm so happy to be back in City. Much thanks to the entire Homecoming team.
  8. Generally speaking, licensors do not require licensees to enforce other license agreements, breeches, and etc. with other entities. So, that would be a super strange clause if that were part of it. I think the only "danger" to other servers is that Homecoming may eat an even larger proportion of new players than it already does, having an official agreement with NCsoft.
  9. As I understand it: Leaked, not hacked. Someone gave the i25 server code to someone right after the servers shut down, and there have been secret copies of that server popping up ever since. Which NCsoft would demand be taken down every time they were discovered. There was no official relationship with NCsoft, but the Homecoming team was working to secure such a relationship since the launch of the HC servers, it appears. And now a relationship has been secured.
  10. Yes thank you, I was clear on that point. Also on this one. So, the cost goes up, though the model doesn't change. (While they aren't "fees" it's effectively the same thing.) Others have pointed out on Discord that this change.. 1. Allows Homecoming to pursue better hosting options now that we need not rely on server farms that don't ask too many questions, and 2. Lets the HC devs know what will and will not piss off NCsoft so they aren't walking on eggshells. And that's about all that really changes.
  11. I don't really understand what this means overall, other than increased cost to cover the licensing fee and possible increase of server traffic for being "official" now. But clearly the team worked hard on this and lots of people are happy, so I'll add my glitter to the rain of confetti. 🙂 Congratulations and well done team!
  12. The ground tiles are misaligned in Eden at [-790.8 -9.6 4085.5], so there is a gaping hole and you can fly under the map. Notice in this first image, you can see where two tiles meet and form a 90-degree angle. That's where the hole is. This is that same location, but looking at it from the other direction so you can see the hole. You can fly right through that hole and under the whole map.
  13. I, too, would like to see more back details allowed with the bolero. The cherub and bat wings, for example, don't clip with the bolero at all. Although I know it would require allowing or excluding entire categories, so they couldn't allow some wings without others unless they created a whole new back detail category, which is far more work than I think they'd want to invest in such a project. I'll take what I can get!! 😄
  14. I disagree though. It's *not* just a high collared cape, the bolero shoulder piece,/fur and sleeves. It's a coat, not a cape. Using the cape doesn't create the part of the bolero that covers the back and ribcage. So no, just adding sleeves that can be used in conjunction with the cape and bolero shoulder detail is insufficient, IMO. Not even worth the trouble. I will agree that stealing the top piece from the high collar cape and adding it as an option for the full bolero does get most of the way there. No scarf unfortunately, but an acceptable compromise. 🙂
  15. I guess I'm just so used to all the "acceptable" clipping (like how pretty much every long hair style clips through capes) that I don't even pay attention to clipping anymore. The whole outfit looks so cool I don't care at all that the scarf passes through the bolero at times. I also don't feel that "avoiding ugly costumes" is a reasonable excuse to disable this option. Ugly is a matter of taste, and the devs aren't in the habit of policing costumes based on how attractive or ugly people think they are. I also personally don't think using any of the Robes with the high collared Cape gets me even close to the look I'm going for, unfortunately.
  16. There was briefly a bug in the Retail days that allowed the use of the Bolero and a Back Detail at the same time. I'm not sure if this was disabled again because the devs were worried about "ugly clipping" or if there would have had negative effects on the server from said clipping. My ask is, please can we have this re-enabled as long as it doesn't cause problems for the server? We could make some really cool looking outfits that I'd LOVE to be able to use on Homecoming.
  17. Rolling up a new magic Storm/Storm corruptor, in the Powers Customization screen, Hailstones is playing a sound effect upon execution.
  18. No, powers from Storm Summoning (the buff/debuff set) do not interact with Storm Cell and Category 5 from Storm Blast. I am still going to make a Storm Blast/Storm Summoning Corruptor for thematic reasons. 🙂
  19. I'm curious how multiple storm blasters interact more generally. If I use my storm blasts against a target in someone else's storm cell, will my blasts trigger that cell to proc? Or do my blasts only trigger my own storm cell?
  20. For what it's worth, I disagree. I think Lightning Storm still looks really cool recolored. A lot of powers lose subtle but neat looking effects when you recolor them, I accept it as par for the course. I still recolor Lightning Storm (along with the rest of the set) 100% of the time. 😉 Whether or not my opinion matters... *shrug* I at least had to offer it.
  21. I was responding to the people who said that Storm Summoning (not Storm Blast) looks bad when recolored. I just wanted to provide an alternate opinion so it didn't seem like the player-base is united in this view.
  22. Respectfully I disagree. Storm Summoning looks great with custom colors. (Edit: I know we aren't supposed to provide feedback on feedback but I wanted to make clear that not all are in agreement on this point. Though I doubt Storm Summoning will be tweaked, I'd hate myself if I said nothing and a change was made.)
  23. I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying that if I cast Intensify AFTER Storm Cell and Cat 5, that it won't buff their damage, but it will buff the proc chance? So if I want Intensify to buff the damage component of my patches, I have to cast it first? If that's the case, I wonder how the damage actually compares. Increased damage from Intensify for full 10 seconds on Storm Cell & Cat 5, but only 4-6 seconds to cast attacks in order to trigger procs vs No damage buff from Intensify on Storm Cell or Cat 5, but full 10 seconds to use attacks and trigger procs regardless of how many patches you lay down first I was under the impression that most of the damage from Storm Cell came from using your attacks on mobs within it, not the power itself. So it seems like sacrificing the +Damage from Intensify for about double the amount of time for using blast attacks is actually the way to go?
  24. Are we sure this will never be done? I was going to post a suggestion for two elemental sets: MM Primary and a Buff/Debuff.
