  1. I will likely try to plug a cable in when i get the chance to see if that helps. Trying to get my roommate for any sort of technical help is pretty pointless since they always say 'look it up yourself" or some variant of it (which is frustrating since i hardly ever ask anything of them). They're only bothering with it a little now because they remote in to their job now. Problem is that i don't know which problems to close/end and which ones are required to run. Some of the answers i get from googling them make me unsure about whether to leave them running or not/
  2. Well, GM Impervium was really helpful but everything kept not working. So i thought to myself "maybe i have another program that is active that might be causing the problem". and after some trial and error then yep that was the cause. The program had recently updated to where it was always on and that was causing the issue (not AV or firewall). Now i'm wondering why there is such massive lag in the game. Yeah, i don't have a gaming computer but my computer i was playing CoH back then on wasn't either and i never had a lag issue. As i said before i'm not really a tech savy person but i'm thinking the issue there is that either something is wrong on our IP at where i live since we are not getting the upload/download rates we should be getting according to my roommate or its a server issue (which CoH had back then from time to time).
  3. Well, glad this whole problem is resolved. Maybe i'll see some of you ingame?
  4. Back to this. Please try either totally disabling it, or whitelisting the *entire* directory for the game. Did both. Still having the same problem. C:\Games\Homecoming The first box was checked so i unchecked it. The Launcher Version is the same as what you said it should be. Maybe that's the issue? It says no errors found. I did save it in a place i can find. Before i post it i need to ask if i should remove my machines ID or not?
  5. Thanks for the reply. I tried that after the first few attempts to log into the game. The verification seems to indicate nothing is wrong. Not yet but i'm willing to wait. Hopefully they can figure out what the problem is.
  6. Did so with both and still having the problem.
  7. Oh well. Looks like no City Of Heroes for me. 😞
  8. I'm on a desktop PC that's roughly 2 to 3 years old.
  9. I tried that as well and it still does the same thing.
  10. Well, I attached the log file. I'm not a tech savvy person or a programmer so i'm really not sure what a lot of this means. launcher.log
  11. I checked where it installed to. It went to C drive then Games then Homecoming. Was it suppose to go there or perhaps something else is wrong?
  12. I am using the Homecoming Launcher. Windows 10 64 bit PC. I was under the impression that the Launcher would create the game folder there and install there on its own (well, when i clicked on install that is). I guess i should uninstall and try again? Forgive my ignorance and thank you for your response to my questions. I'm just unfamiliar with how this all works and assumed (incorrectly i suppose) that it worked like other MMORPG launchers. TY.
  13. Hello, I was a longtime CoH player from April 2004 until it shutdown in 2012. I have recently found out about Homecoming and following the instructions on this site i set up a forum/game account and installed what needed to be installed. My problem is that anytime i click the play button it shows a loading message for a few seconds then the message disappears and i am not in the game. I have made sure that neither my Antivirus nor my firewall are causing whatever the issue is. Any idea's on what is going on and how i can resolve the issue?
