  2. Well, I think the bell curve of the charts that have been provided by users in this thread should be incentive to alter powers. People flock to specific builds to farm or for the path with the least resistance way to much in CoH. I enjoy seeing people thinking outside of the box for builds. Content for me would be the best improvement, more costumes, particle effects, IOs, powers, etc. Masterminds really need something but.. I cannot put my finger on what.
  3. Dark/Dark/Energy does 4/8s easily. I will admit watch out for Sappers, priority target. Dark/Dark is pretty expensive/time consuming to build but it is so good once you have the enhancements you want.

  6. Hello, I have a few post on my Dark/Dark/Energy Brute and I have came across many enhancements since we came home. I notice my damage is OK during groups and I like my role in team play as an OT/CC/Damaging Brute. At times I do take on the role of a tank but prefer to be back up. I can some what farm and this is where I am attempting to improve my current build. The highest content I feel comfortable farming without the need of inspirations is +4/+4. Is it possible for Dark/Dark Brutes to be able to do +4/+8 content? According to pines I am over the Endurance Recovery cap for Brutes and I was thinking of going Dark/Dark/Dark.   7. Dark Melee - Shadow Maul The cone needs some altering... this power is great when it finally decides to work. I spend most of my time stacking enemies then fighting. Even after what I believe to be enemies in the line of Shadow Mauls cone it still only hits one target. With other similar abilities I have no where near the trouble of it hitting at the very least an additional target. Dark Melee - Touch of Fear This ability is pretty boring and should have some sort of damage. I know I am running Dark Armor as well but with Cloak of Fear and Oppressive Gloom toggle on, I find the ability very lack luster. Dark Melee - Shadow Punch & Smite These two attacks are to similar once geared and Shadow Punch becomes extremely weak compared to Smite. Users will eventually drop Shadow Punch unless they need one or the other for ATO place holder. Dark Melee - Overall I believe Dark Melee is missing an actual damaging AOE or DoT abilities. DM is mainly ST because Shadow Maul cone size is to small. When I think of DM I think of DoT damage but it lacks it.
  8. I believe gamer's in general are tired of theme park design. WoW, GW, etc. make these theme park for the user to constantly chase a carrot to continue to play. My favorite games have always been sandbox design of some sort. Games such as EQ, SWG, CoH, and Shadowbane have always been my favorite. Your gear, skills, etc. last longer then a content patch or expansion. CoH actual feels like a virtual world and not a MOBA. I personally enjoy the ability to create a new character and not feel rushed to catch up to play with friends. CoH is very alt friendly and I like that as well. Nothing is more then a bummer when you find out you do not like the class or character you are playing at end game. My only concern with CoH is the content needs updated. Give us a few new missions to perform. I know there was hiring of individuals to possibly update this precious world, please add more character customization. I also love the fact of killing off the holy trinity. Yet, new players are bound and determine to put a Tanker or Brute as a tank. I would also like to point out there does seem to be a need for a Kin at end game. Anywho, I hope at some point the weekly, IO sets, powers, and classes get a once over. Thanks again for bringing CoH back into my life.

  10. I disagree about Brutes not being tanks but... that is because I play a Dark/Dark Brute. The idea of the holy trinity was never really implemented into CoH, some basic principles were used such as control, CC, damage soak, etc. Tanking is CC'ing a single or multiple targets to hit them instead of you. That being said, even at low/mid level play this is where your suppose to learn how to play, when to toggle, what to toggle, enhancements, sets, and learn what style of play you prefer. Most Dark Brutes will understand the endurance struggles. I do not have them as severely with my other Brutes but I do miss Dark Armor defenses. Other Brutes are more offensive but I will take Dark Armor over increase offensive any day.

  12. Radio and paper missions need to provide better rewards then DFB. I did DFB at high levels because I was cheap and the enhancements and recipes drop quiet frequently. Compared that to +3/4 radio/paper why run those? They take longer, you have to travel to them, and were more difficult with less reward.
  13. I was told not to take Shadow Maul by the community because the animation was an actual DPS lost. My goal is for group content tanking with some ability to still be able to solo.
  14. Here is what I am at currently. I know I need new IO's / Inventions. I was Soul Mastery but way to much of an endurance drain. Energy mastery my endurance drainage is rather slow.   17. I would love a power set for MM, Scrapper, Brute, and Tank that relates to bears. Also, costume head and outfit that relates to fur and bear. An army of baby bears following me with a secondary shaman power set <3.
  18. I like being a magic character for my enhancements and story. Dark / Dark seems fun and I know about the endurance issues but has anyone been able to build a Dark / Dark that later felt great once enhanced?
  19. Same issue for me. I was able to play on Torch today to about level 11. I was randomly kicked and tried to build some outfits offline. The servers went down and I seen the announcement for the two new ones attempted to join those to take advantage of the double xp. I was in que made it to 3/450ish waited for twenty minutes and decided to end task. Since then Torch will not even give me a que, I receive firewall network error. Excelslor will let me in to create a character then it just locks up. The two new servers have not came online since I assume the server reboot hours ago? It is a bummer but just getting in those 11 levels today made me so happy, thank you!
  20. I was in for a short bit and was stuck on que 3/485 for about 20 minutes. I stop the task and now I am receiving the same error.
  21. Thank you so much, entering into the game brought back memories of my brother and I enjoying ourselves as our first MMO played together. My brother has since passed away in 2013. It brought tears to my eyes playing once again.
