  1. Windfall's activation confirmation window has a lot of information that isn't relevant anymore, both regarding VIP status/reward level and the drop requirements of incarnate salvage. It's not a typo (just severely outdated), but could do with some cleaning up.
  2. My rolls were: Dark/Super Reflexes Scrapper (50-16-91) Electric Armor/Radiation Melee Tanker (67-24-62) Illusion/Electric Dominator (34-72-30) Went with the scrapper since I realized I hadn't actually tried dark melee since live. It's not a combo I would've thought of myself, but I was able to come up with a concept pretty easily - shadow maul's animation + various life draining abilities = speedster fueled by stealing life energy. ...typing this out, I am now realizing I unintentionally made a vampire.
  3. Only one set. They're the same person: both victims of human experimentation, both altered so their bodies constantly exude deadly chemical compounds, both forced to constantly wear completely sealed protective gear as to not accidentally annihilate everything in the vicinity, and both the vengeful, pathetic 'I suffered, so now the whole world has to burn' type of villain. The only real difference is the chemicals they exude. The Primal variant is a Fire/Rad scrapper: his compound is extremely volatile and combusts spontaneously when exposed to oxygen, and the radiation armor is meant to represent the deadly fumes and subsequent danger of being in close proximity. The Praetorian's compound is an aerosolized asphyxiant. As such, he's a Storm/Poison corruptor who's augmented his powers with high-powered electrical gauntlets (for killing things that don't need to breathe and people smart enough to wear gas masks). They utterly despise one another.
  4. The asylum escapee one needs more work, but could serve as a starting point. I had wanted to make the right glove an Awakened gauntlet, but sleeveless robes doesn't allow asymmetrical use of it. In the same vein, tattered pants aren't available to female characters, and the Post Apocalyptic pants didn't feel quite right. The top is meant to be a medical gown/scrubs, but you could easily change it to a lab coat for a 'mugging the 'doctors' on the way out' vibe. Chains are mostly for symbolism, but converting them to buckled leather might also work for restraint imagery. The base seer outfit is the first attachment, scrubs and chains version is second. 5. Check all the mission text for < and >'s and look for broken HTML inside them. It could be that the closing / is missing (I.e. not <i> italicshere </i>. If so, that's an easy fix of adding a slash. It could also be that sometimes when copying/pasting/moving text around, the tags break or insert gibberish/fragments of what you copypasted inside them. If you can't find the break, try erasing them all and then reapplying them. It's usually the color HTML that breaks for me, but it's certainly done it with bold and italics before.
  6. Not really 'new' powers so much as new animation variants, but you can get a nice metallic look on bio armor (pic related). It'd be neat if the earth/rock powersets had metal reskins to pair with it.
  7. My first thought for non-magic use of the lanterns was a Jack the Ripper type of character (killing by gas lamps, and such). My second thought was that the lanterns could be some sort of disguised drone: automated defense system for blocking shots, homing in to explode on enemies, or even a back up battery charge for the wielder. My third was a Lord Nemesis-esque character with power armor in the same vein of 'antiquated-looking technology that is actually extremely advanced'. As I have no idea how to properly execute idea three, here's my take on a drone wielder with smoke and chemical based weaponry. Badass is subjective, but I tried. The first costume is the black one, second is blue. Might look better with a different breather. Lantern req2.costumeLantern req4.costume
  8. Redside: In the villain newspaper mission 'Kidnap Larry Degner' the briefing starts: 'Yuk. The Council injected some poor sap with an experimental drug. He escaped and wound up in a hospital, then whacked and orderly and escaped again.' 'And orderly' should be 'an'. In the Steel Canyon Mayhem mission, when you move beyond Stardusk's follow range, she says: "This place is a maze. Now where is that exit&". The ampersand should be a question mark. Blueside: Random Vampyri lying in ambush near the Unsubtle exploration badge in Brickstown at night: "You're powers are no match for my undying thirst!". Should be 'Your'. Brickstown PPD officer confronting the Council around Abyss Towers: "Your silly games with the 5th column end here and now, Council!". Column should be capitalized.
  9. I didn't want to change too much, so I just shifted the colors to an Ouroboros Mender palette due to her time manipulation powers. I added the fur shoulders to balance the light gold on the belt and boots. Most menders have the pale greyish-brown as a top, but it didn't quite look right so I shifted it down to the belt on costume 2. If you want the inner belt colors to match the outside, you'll have to select the belt, relink the colors, and then manually recolor everything else. It's a known issue with jackets and belts that have cape-like properties but lack the Exterior and Interior color selection options, unfortunately. Gunslinger req1.costume Gunslinger req2.costume
  10. The Koi Dragon is a mutant who only possesses cosmetic mutations, but the legend of the Dragon Gate inspired him to become a hero anyway through extensive training and sheer willpower.
  11. It's already been said in the thread, but the wiki page for Talos states that he was active in the 50s and 60s. It's possible he could've been involved in the tail end of WWII, but I would say he most likely wasn't. Which is a shame, really - Ally propagandists would've loved his presence on the battlefield against the Germans due to the parallels they could draw between Talos and Atlas's massive size. There'd be propaganda posters with Talos stomping Fifth Columnists with labels like 'Atlas's Retribution' or 'Atlas's Second Coming' all over the place. As for the Teal Serpent, according to one of the Pupil history plaques, it states that Atlas defeated him after rescuing the citizens from the Teal Serpent's poison gas bombs, but 'It is unknown whether or not the Teal serpent survived.' Which implies it was an extremely violent beatdown from Atlas, and no one would be surprised if he was dead. Either way, that ID was retired since he was never seen again after 1939. This doesn't necessarily preclude his presence from WWII, though: we've seen villains come back from the dead before, like when Blue Steel murdered the Clockwork King. Since the Teal Serpent's death was merely presumed, one could make a case that he simply rebranded due to injuries making his former combat style untenable. Life support armor, maybe? There's no in-game evidence of anything in this paragraph, just my speculation, but the Teal Serpent would certainly have an increased motive and desire for Atlas's death following his final battle. From a plot standpoint, you could easily tie his new ID into collaborating with the Axis, biding his time for two years, and having direct involvement in the Invasion of Independence Port. Atlas's death defending the bridge could certainly count as the Teal Serpent finally achieving vengeance.
  12. The wiki page for the canon timeline has some details if you check the 1930s to 1950s range, but tends to only mention the leaders of organizations. The various pages tend to lack pictures or powers information, so you're still going to be making a lot up. Regardless, here's a list of the groups I'm aware of: Axis: The Storm Korps, lead by Eisensturm (Ironstorm), who kidnapped the King of England, but was defeated by the Dawn Patrol The Imperial Wind, lead by The Lord of Frosts, who were Japan's Pacific strike force and refused to accept Japan's surrender. He was ultimately killed years later by Captain Volcano. Edit: I misread the wiki page while skimming it. The Lord of Frosts actually killed Captain Volcano months after Japan's surrender, after years of fighting each other. His current whereabouts are unknown. The Fifth Column, with Requiem, Vandal, and Nosferatu as the original leaders. Colleen Nelson's arc goes into Requiem's backstory and has names of some heroes he tangled with. Arakhn, who told Requiem where to find the Shadow Cyst to become a Nictus, though I'm uncertain if she was an active combatant in WWII. Leader of the Nictus, most likely in charge of the 1920s secret society The Path of the Dark The Center, who was mostly Mussolini's lapdog at the time. I can't recall which arcs expand on his past at the moment, unfortunately. Allies: The Dawn Patrol, England's equivalent to the Freedom Phalanx The Freedom Phalanx, who joined the war after Germany and Japan respectively attacked Independence Port and Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941 The 1st Hero Brigade, which includes Captain Volcano and M1 Atlas, who died defending Independence Port on December 7th. War was declared the next day. Thunderhead, who fought in Europe and North Africa. Retired now, but kidnapped by the Fifth Column in the arc Ubelmann the Unknown. The Sand Kings, as Cranebump mentioned above. Lead by Dream Doctor, saboteurs against the Nazis, a strike team of the 1st Hero Brigade 'Neutral': President Marchand, leading the Rogue Isles. Though neutral, his armies fought the Fifth Column to placate the Allies. The Historical Heroes and Villains page has some more characters you could use that I haven't listed. I think Arachnos was involved in WWII, but I can't remember for sure. Edit: I somehow forgot about Lord Nemesis becoming Emperor of America. Although it happened after most of the action was over, it's still probably pretty relevant in Primal Earth's WWII history classes
  13. I tried to do a sky based design with sun and cloud coloration/theming. Color balance didn't want to work with me, so that and the chest emblem could use some tweaking. First costume is the light blue one, second is where I tried to incorporate night sky colors. It looks off, but figured I'd include it anyway. Guardian Angel2.costumeGuardian Angel4.costume
  14. Maestro prefers lip-reading to sign language, and initially refused to even learn sign because he considered it an admission that he'd never regain his hearing. Even after grudgingly learning to read it (because everyone in the Fifth Column kept their entire face covered and you can't exactly lip read through that, can you), he refuses to sign himself.
  15. When using the Elemental Order pants (Male > Lower Body > Tucked In > Pants > Elemental Order) with Leather Armor boots (Male > Lower Body > Tucked In > Boots > Leather Armor), certain animations cause a gap between the two. It's also present on the female version of the costume, albeit less obviously. Screenshots are taken from the Eagles Claw animation on Blaster's Martial Combat set, but I first noticed the issue while sniping while hovering with Energy Blast's alternate animation customization. Might apply to other boots as well, though I haven't done any testing to that effect.
  16. Spines or Savage Melee with Bio Armor that's been recolored bright red, paired with a costume with extensive use of the Bio-Organic pattern (pink and red) can give a nice base layer for a horror game style of biological flesh monster. For a ranged/Sentinel option, Storm or Water blast lets you have nasty looking mist spraying attacks that can give a real disease-spreading look when recolored.
  17. Aside from the helmet? Not very, in my opinion - lots of unique parts. Here's my attempt anyway. Buckled Leather is to try to represent all the straps restraining Mu Mystics' limbs, while his actual belt was taken from Archmage Tarxius's outfit. Mu base2.costume
  18. This is Noanne Aesthetic; she's a back alley surgeon shamelessly inspired by this Surgeon Simulator 2 fan song.
  19. Psionic Melee/Electric Armor/Soul Mastery Scrapper. The concept was of a Primal Earth hero who is essentially an Awakened Mindstorm. Due to her refusal to stop using her powers to help others, she's slowly losing physical form and becoming a living storm of psionic energy (an Immanence, in other words). I initially used Power Surge for the effect (the crash even fits thematically!), but it's become an emergencies only thing now that I've managed to get Shadow Meld down to 30 seconds of recharge with haste. She spends about half her time incorporeal now, which is good enough for me. Swinging psi blades around has been fun, and she still does pretty well despite the mistakes I made slotting her build.
  20. My first thought of how time and sound intersect was the Doppler Effect. Diagrams of it often look like the Optic chest detail, so I combined that with the fact that both sets' animations consist mostly of spirals to make the top. She's vaguely urban fantasy because a lot of the more typically magical chest options exclude the clock belt entirely (looking at you, Bolero.) and it felt like an integral piece for displaying her time powers. Black and white because color theory is hard. Doppler2.costume
  21. Storm Blast/Poison Corruptor. The plan is to present the combination as an aerosolized biochemical weapon, with the lightning attacks being explained away as some sort of tech stolen for use against things immune to the toxins.
  22. For the Atlas Park Safeguard mission to trigger the robbery when I approach the bank's entrance (like the other safeguard missions) instead of making me wait several minutes.
  23. Controller - Darkness Control/Electrical Affinity Not a big fan of controllers, but alright. Made a suit of power armor that electrocuted its wearer, then slowly developed shadow powers due to the death energies trapped inside the armor. It wasn't until a hero knocked the helmet off while it was robbing a bank that anyone realized the pilot was dead.
  24. Chainmail is good at breaking up some of the less sharply defined patterns, but it's unfortunately difficult to get a good white and grey contrast with. If you want total static, Psych, Circuitry, or Cheetah 1 seem to work alright. For partial, I liked the looks of Arctic, Baroque, and Layer Stripe. Malaise can work too, if you want mild rainbow static - white primary, medium grey secondary. Mesh blends into it too well - no contrast - but might work with things that aren't chainmail. Can't say I'm completely satisfied with any of them as static, though.
