  1. If this happens, include the time spent running into pointlessly a wall.
  2. Even in a theoretical "if it were possible" scenario, I could still see this as being a bad thing if many players no longer make new characters and only swap their main's sets around, reducing the amount of people in mid level ranges. Of course I am biased because I prefer mid level over endgame, but it's still food for thought.
  3. VEATs also don't get No Redraw for their weapons, which is something I'd like to see changed if possible. Edit: I should clarify that I know the devs are looking to solve the No Redraw problem intuitively with the recent Katana test, so I just want to make sure VEAT weapons get included if they apply that as a global solution to weapon draw animation.
  4. Surely we'll get this alongside Shark Blast, right? We already have Leviathan Mastery, it's not too far away...
  5. Your best bet is to hook up your TV to your PC, and use a controller that is USB or otherwise PC compatible. You'd still be on PC, but basically all the motions of playing on console.
  6. I do like all those ideas, but they definitely require more writing and coding. My point is that if there's a good story reason to see enemy groups in new level ranges (like Tsoo getting incarnate ink to be strong foes in DA) then that's all well and good--as long as it is exactly that, a story reason, and not arbitrary new level ranges with no context.
  7. I can't say I'm a huge fan of this idea. As was stated earlier, levels themselves don't really determine how strong enemies are--it's mostly powers and abilities. In order to make enemies satisfying for a level range, you'd basically have to code in a new enemy... actually, you'd have to make a lot for variety. Furthermore, I really don't think Crey would ever bother with small fry heroes, nor would a Hellion ever pose a challenge to an incarnate. The level ranges keep the lore sane, in that respect.
  8. I wonder if it's possible to have them added to your callable contacts when you lock into the Ouroboros arc? Most badge hunters might be aware on where to go to talk to them, but many people might have trouble locating them.
  9. Yo, real talk? I want to kick a ball around Steel Canyon with my super powers. I didn't want this before! Why did you put this curse on me?
  10. As a fan of tomboys, I would love to see more androgynous options (for both male and female). Although for me the biggest thing is an issue with the model itself; as was stated before, female characters can only look obviously curvy and busty. Nothing wrong with that of course, but I'd love to be able to make more androgynous characters--using a male body doesn't really work well either for the same issue, just being too masculine instead. But I imagine it'd be quite the task to allow more model changing options..
  11. Boomtown could totally use the Faultline treatment. I'm also a fan of more higher level zones; you tend to zoom past low levels even if you don't do DFB, so a higher level remake could be cool. Now that said, despite there being a Council Base there, I'm really not interested in Striga 2, do if it does get a revamp, I hope the Council aren't they main antagonists.
  12. I just want contacts to send me where there are interesting story arcs. If a hazard zone has a cool arc, sure. If it doesn't, then pass. I think the original devs never wrote much content for the hazard zones after the first few issues, so a lot of them have that old-school simplicity to them. When they got really good at writing, they had already phased out many of the hazard zones...
  13. My preferred solution is simply to not play much of the endgame content. I do still like to play some of it, but the ceaseless steamroll does get boring. As others have said though this is heavily due to IOs and how easily they are acquired now. It goes without saying but I doubt there exists a good solution that will appease all the players in this regard. The most logical move would be to expand content in the game so you could truly have an incarnate playground worthy of the powers you get, but I'm not trying to burden the HC team with writing and coding a mountain of content. Maybe one day we'll get there, but to once again echo other comments in this thread: better just create your own team with your own rules. You can always set the pace for your own adventure!
  14. My main group played an 8-person Hardcore challenge at one point. It's a cool idea in theory, to be sure--but then we accidentally walked into a double-spawn and lost 3 people in the same fight at a around level 14. The other 5 didn't want to go on after that... I definitely think this has to be self-inflicted, as I highly doubt there would be many people interested in doing this to make it worth implementing as a feature.
  15. I suppose the only cause for concern would be if it created an end result that was way better than other Controller set damage. That said, Terrify and Confuse are kind of at odds with each other (if you inflict AoE Fear on your confused mobs, might as well have not Confused them). Furthermore, Mind Control doesn't really have a lot of AoE damage other than Terrify, which as stated isn't the best synergy... you'd have to either throw down 2 Terrify casts to get Containment damage, or Mass Hypnosis and then that'd break it, or Mass Confusion and lose out on the Confuse damage... Seems like Mind would still have issues rolling out damage.
  16. Those Telekinesis changes are absolutely wild! You're a madman! Just think about how you'd be dooming me to only run Mind Control! Jokes aside, I would honestly make like three new Mind characters if these changes went through--but they're very ambitious... Considering CoH's history of spaghetti on the menu, I'm not sure. But if this is possible, I'd be very interested. Also, anything that makes Sleep relevant on teams is always gonna get my support.
  17. Hrm. I'm not sure whether I like this idea or Blackfeather's more. The only issue I can see is that Terrify being the main Containment power would make low levels still a touch awkward, but from what I know that's not oppressive for Mind Control. No Containment for Confused though? I suppose it wouldn't be nearly as necessary with Terrify...
  18. I'd be interested in new Control set elements. Assuming the set adheres to the more typical control powers (ST and AoE immob + hold, and pet powers) you'd just need to design 4 unique powers to fill the set out. Check out the other Control sets and see if you can't think of something thematic for Radiation that fits within the reason for a Control set!
  19. Considering how melee-focused Dark Manipulation is, I could see Touch of Beyond benefitting from being a PBAoE power. Though I'd probably keep it as a click power--you can make the Fear stronger if it's a click and not a toggle, and more targets means it's very unlikely to not get at least one hit and acquire the recovery buff.
  20. As long as Dominators can still do the same things they can currently do, I'm open to tweaks and changes. Except Telekinesis. I'm okay with that one being entirely reworked.
  21. I like to think that DJ Zero just wasn't sure what to say to me, so he's just smiling awkwardly hoping I'll ask him something.
  22. My namesake is a kobold wizard hailing from Faerun of Dungeons & Dragons lore, and came here via some portal accident. He was already an exile so he doesn't settle down to "live" anywhere, though I guess Ouroboros calls to him the most. Most of my other characters aren't so lucky to have a real backstory, and subsist off a simple character concept that's good enough for me.
  23. As long as we're doing Minimal FX for temp/P2W powers, we ought to also add them to regular powers. I really like Steam Jump's unique jump posture and I want it on my Super Jumpers!
  24. He, too, dreams of being a super hero. If he can at least kick out a fire, his buddies will stop teasing him! Don't crush his dreams!
