  1. Hey all. I've recently dinged 50 on my DP/WP Sent and I'm really enjoying it.

I've looked at a lot of old threads for ideas on how to build it - I'm not expecting to be top tier, but I want to be able to run through high level stuff without being a burden.

The Weapons Mastery is a bit of a flavour choice, which I'd like to keep though I may lose Kemuridama

Any improvements from the build below? First time I've copied to a forum, so apologies if this doesn't work!

    Thanks in advance!

  2. Thanks to those who made suggestions on the best slotting for Phalanx Fighting & True Grit.

I've been playing this character a lot, and this is where I currently stand.

The level 50 power is a throwaway. I've been toying with dropping SS and taking SJ to get Spring Attack, as it'd be a fun addition to Shield Charge/Mighty Radial but I'm not sure I have any slots free for it.

In-game, its giving me Defense Totals of 42.61 Ranged, 41.72 Melee and 45.11 AOE which is slightly above what Pines is telling me.

I've had a lot of fun on high level stuff recently, but this is the first time I've really tried to build a character past 50 with lots of invention sets.

    Cheers all!

  3. Thanks very much! I have done as suggested and put the slots into Weave and the combat attributes look all the better for it.

Next up is whether to lose slots in attacks for Tough.

  4. Having a play around, I put 6 slots in and a set of LoTG, according to the attributes, its giving me 3.75%. Weave with one defence IO is giving me 4.61, so looks like its not affected by the sets. I'm solo, but presumably that'll be the same with the team bonus.

On a similar note, True Grit - resistance or heal sets?

    Thanks for the replies!

  5. Is it worth slotting up Phalanx Fighting, or are slots better used elsewhere? I'm pretty tight on slots on my SJ/SD - at the moment its deciding between slotting up PF or Weave

    Cheers!

  6. Learn to make binds.

Team select, Target nearest, turn on Sprint AND SS or Ninja run, bodyguard mode on MMs. Homecoming also added some bind options that weren't in the original game,  like the ability to target a location-based power on a selected friend or foe. This can make placing a Tar Patch or Rain of Arrows way, WAY easier.

I'd love to know how to do this!

    pow_exec_location <location> <power name>

Location can be "target", "me", or a direction:distance signifier. (To quote the notes: "Direction can be forward, back, left, right, up, down, -or- it can be a number. If it's a number, it is taken as an angle in degrees. 0 is straight in front of you, 90 is right, etc. It can also be camera, to indicate the direction the camera is facing, including elevation")

It works great for Rain of Arrows (especially after the buff to its animation).  I have a macro for powexeclocation target "Rain of Arrows", which centers the rain on my currently selected target (which doesn't necessarily have to be an enemy), letting me just tap a single button rather than having to place it.  (Though I can still place it manually if I want)

Amazing, thanks very much! This will hopefully stop me shooting so many already dead baddies with Rain of Arrows on my blaster! Or accidentally clicking the guy who just stood in front me of as I clicked to activate it!

  7. Hey all,

I've hit 50 on my Kin/Sonic and I'm very much enjoying end game.

I think I've got a build I like, but I'm trying to improve damage and survivability.

I've taken both leadership & Weave to improve my defence but to be honest, I only have a vague grasp of enhancements as its been so long since I've really thought about these things! What are the suggested slotting/Inventions to put in them? Can I hit soft cap defence?

    Cheers!

By the way, you can run Sprint, combat jumping and SS or SJ. Yes, it does help unless you're at the speed cap somehow.

You can also edit the chat tabs, which I think is something people have forgotten.  If you never want to see the Help channel, get rid of it.

I'd love to know how to do this!

  9. Hello, former Unionite here! I had a severe alt addiction, but my main guys were Hot-Plate and Electrify. Electrify was involved in the whole 1AT Supergroup thing that went on for a while.

Had a play about with the editor, and it brought back amazing memories. Thanks to the guys that are getting this up and running.
