  1. The +recovery is a huge benefit of the power assuming you are in melee range when you fire it off especially if it is perma or close to perma. It should eliminate any endurance issues for you or your team mates in range when it is used. The -res is also significant (it think it is 24% for a troller) but only lasts 30 secs out of the 90s but it does stack with sleet for a quick -res boost against a hard target. The three key powers of Cold Domination are benumb, sleet and heat loss. On my Cold corrupter I use an End Mod set for it (focus on the set bonuses you need imo).
  2. I have a Savage/Bio and it is fun. Quick hitting attacks which works well with Bio's offensive adaption. IMO shred is skippable on all Savage ATs because of the low DPA and Hemorrhage is best on a stalker. The key to Savage Leap is procs to maintain its damage while in close range and boost the damage even more from range. Here is the build I am using.   4. You can also use a macro to email merits quickly: /macro "email merit" emailsendattachment @global "subject" 0 11 xx "body" where xx is the position number in the salvage window. Usage: /emailsendattachment name subject influence attachment location message_body name is a valid user name, preferably global subject is the message subject line influence is a numeric amount of Inf to send, or 0 attachment is the type of element to attach - see below - or none location is the inventory location of that item - see below- or none message_body is the body of the message, Quotes around each argument are optional for one-word arguments but should be used for consistency. Again, everything that follows location - in quotes, out, numbers, text, loose boogers - will go into the message body. As long as you move or use your abilities you will cycle through the auto selection change.   6. Pretty much any /Darkness Affinity controller shouldn't have any problem soloing and also be a great asset to a team. I have both a fire/dark and plant/dark and they are both def capped to everything and resist capped to S/L/E. I have no issues soloing with either and they are great with groups.
  7. In my game play it does seem to matter especially when exemping. The proc doesn't seem to kick in until the power it is slotted in is used at least once per mission instance even though it is a global. I have seen other comments about this as well. I don't know if it is by design or a bug. To ensure it isn't an issue I always slot the buildup proc in a power that is taken before Buildup. I usually put it in a T1 or T2 power. I learned it the hard way when I slotted it in a level 35 power and I got no procs when that power wasn't available while exemping.
  8. Double check what powers have the green circle marked off. Looks like you have a few of your attacks enabled which would turn on any procs slotted. You also have some of your toggles and auto's not checked. For the most part mids is usually pretty accurate unless a database value is wrong. I see issues like this when people forget they have vengeance and other powers like scaling ones toggled on and set to maximum enemies. Also, next time post the actual build instead of a screenshot so we can load it ourselves and check it for you. The resistance showing in mids for my electric armor brute build is 41.35 so it is definitely something you are doing in mids itself.
  9. The problem with shred is the animation time so its DPA is worse then Savage Strike. That's typically why people skip it. As far as hemorrhage, its DOT damage is too long and lackluster on anything other than a stalker so that's why it is typically skipped on a brute. For my SM brute, my ST cycle is just Vicious Slash -> Maiming Slash -> Savage Strike and it works very well. I use a proc'd out Savage Leap on cooldown and use Rending Fury at 5 stacks when Blood Thirst is up. For your build, take a look a proc'ing Savage Leap. I have it with 3 damage procs and -res. It makes it great from distance and good when close. Otherwise with regular slotting it is only decent at range. I have a War Mace/Willpower and Savage/Bio.   11. My Savage/Bio brute preforms very well and isn't even fully incarnate yet. I have a War Mace/WP brute fully incarnate and this Savage does better ST and AOE. Of course, some of that is the difference from Bio over WP. So I would say Savage on a brute is fine and very competitive especially when paired with Bio. I just did a quick pylon test and it looks like my DOTs are scaling with Fury. I made sure I didn't activate any other debuffs/procs and here are DOTs from Vicious Slash at different times in the fight: You hit Rikti Pylon with your Vicious Slash for 31.5 points of Lethal damage over time. (zero fury) You hit Rikti Pylon with your Vicious Slash for 40.75 points of Lethal damage over time. You hit Rikti Pylon with your Vicious Slash for 50.3 points of Lethal damage over time. (around 75% fury) You won't really take Hermorrhage on a Brute or Scrapper but it is recommended on a stalker. I also skipped Shred. My ST chain is Vicious Slash -> Maining Slash -> Savage Strike. Rending Fury is my spender for AOE and when Blood Thirst is up to get 5 stacks again. The other big thing with Savage is to put at least 4 procs in Savage Leap including Fury -res. Max leap -> Vicious Slash -> 5 stack Rending Fury wrecks groups. Hope this helps.

  14. From my experience and what others have documented procs are not reliable in rain type powers. The proc rate is extremely low even with long recharge powers like sleet. I am not too sure how reliable glue arrow is for procs. I think you would be better off focusing on damage and recharge then procs on a blaster in general.
  15. Fearsome Stare should be your main to-hit debuff. It is recommended that it slotted with a to-hit debuff set (provides -17% to-hit) and not a fear set (little to almost no benefit to extending the fear duration). Darkest Night (which provides another -17%) is a bonus when you are going to have something live long enough to make it worth casting it. I also slot Dark Servant with to-hit debuff set since it applies to all its attacks. Here is my Thugs/Dark build for comparison. My defense ranges from 29% to 33% and soft-capped S/L/E resists which has worked out fine for me and my pets (even the T1s) in +4 and incarnate content. The pets will take damage since not everything will get debuffed, some attacks are auto hit and sometimes that 5% chance gets through and that's why you have Twilight Grasp.
