  2. Currently my only issue with Sentinels now is their new inherit powers animation. Vulnerability is a nice de-buff but its /still/ single target and the animation that plays out in between my powers is... underwhelming? Distracting? A bit... weird? Its just /em point in between fighting and the target on the ground under your foe that we can no longer color. Everything else? A wonderful step in the right direction. All I'd change is the animation, that's it. Make the effect similar to Build Up or something, or Power Boost. Wouldn't mind the rainbow effect! Numerically its a nice little de-buff but visually its very bleh. This is only a minor thing I'd change. I'm just happy they haven't given up on Sentinels in general, and I doubt the animation for their new active will receive any further changes anytime soon and this IS a nit-pick on my part, I'll admit. Sentinels definitely still need work, but is this a downgrade from what we had before? Hell naw. Anyways I've thrown my pennies. *Sips tea.* Hope ya'll are having a good day? ^-^

  8. Hey there everyone! First of all, I'd love to say it's been a great time on the Everlasting server so far. My name is @Ry and I've been running around doing missions and roleplaying ever since Homecoming first launched, but I also played back on live! I haven't been able to get enough, you may have seen me running around as my hero Bunny Boy, or one of my villain's such as Mortar, Domination or Snow Blight. Now to be clear, while I -am- requesting to meet more people who play on redside, that doesn't mean I don't want anything to do with blueside, of course not, Bunny Boy isn't my only hero after all! I'm only making a callout to meet more redsider's because I don't need to do that for bluesider's, I can just log in on any server to meet more of them, there's so many to choose from! I'm making this post to try wrangle up some redsider's for a number of reasons. I'm currently on vacation from finishing university, and with my new found free time I want to make new connections in game with likeminded roleplayers. Partially in hopes to convince them to join in with my group RP, and also RP with me one on one in roleplay outside my supergroups, or ones I am apart of but don't lead. I'm living in the UK, so an EU timezone is preferred but not mandatory. If like me, you're on redside and could use some more DARK SIDE roleplay then hit me up here or in game under the same tag @Ry. I'm currently running my main villain group, FENRIS, which is a supervillain team intending on conquering the world, cliche I know. Very Legion of Doom, basically. I will link you all the post for information on that at the bottom. But I have also made another supergroup, which will have its own forum post in the near future (while I work on a base). My intention for it is to be a little side project that people can play casually when I feel like something new. If you want more regular content, you are best joining FENRIS as that group has more regular events, but if you're looking for a more casual group to join due to having other obligations such as other supergroups of your own, or just have little play time, The Golden Web might be more suitable. The Golden Web is a group of Arachnos members loyal to Lord Recluse, with two main objectives, primarily they seek out traitors and eliminate them. Secondly, The Golden Web is also working to try make the Isles better for the people in it, assuring loyalty through positive reinforcement as opposed to fear (when able). The Golden Web will need members willing to understand that this group will not be my main focus, as my main group, FENRIS, will always take priority. While Arachnos has been my favourite in game faction, it would be unfair to prioritize the newer group over one I have worked on for years. Depending on your schedule, one might be better than the other. With all this in mind, if you would rather get to know me via one on one RP and maybe join my groups afterwards, then I am more than happy to do that. I have over 14 years of experience in roleplaying, I'm approachable, have a varied cast of characters for us to discuss and introduce to your roster and would love to hear about what kind of roleplay you'd like to get involved with. If joining a group isn't your intention entirely, then I am more than happy to keep RP between us but the offer will stay there if you change your mind. The Lady Grey Task Force The minimum level to start the TF has been changed to 45 We've had it at 35 for a while, but there are numerous issues related to starting it at lower levels (on live the minimum was 45) All enemies in the TF (including the Weakened Hamidon and its buds) can now spawn from level 45 to 54 ... .... Welp, there goes one of my fun ways to level on a lv 35 alt. I get that people were having issues but I'm gonna miss being able to run Lady Grey with some of my lower alts. I get tired of using Imperious Task Force over and over again as a way to level up my lv 35s (or alts in that range). Some of the other 30s Task Forces are, well, a bit lackluster, honestly, not all of them, but having Lady Grey was a fun option. And I personally never ran it at the bare minimum of 35, if you had at least one lv 50 tagging along why not just make them the leader and run it that way? Or simply lower the minimal level of the Weakened Hamidon and its buds to 35 if someone happened to be running it around that level? (Unless the code simply wouldnt allow it, I'm not a coder, that stuff scares me 😧 ). I'm grateful for some of the other changes, bug fixes are always nice, some more entrances to Pocket D was a surprising change but I'm not against it. I'm not particular sure about the Paladin Event changes (though to be fair, I'll hardly know the difference as I have only ever done the event once before said change) - as long as I can get my temporary power at the end I don't mind one bit how the event is run, hehe (I'm a sucker for temporary powers). Despite my disappointment in the Lady Grey changes, I'm happy the game is up and running smoothly, so thank you very much 😄
  11. I can understand that @siolfir in regards to back on live, but now? They're just a meaningless buff that dies on impact. And yes atm its free, but doesnt have to be. Lots of useful powers in thr P2W vendor do cost influence, why not these? And make them WORTH said cost. Again, its a minor thing. If they never get touched its w/e, it'd still be nice, though 🙂
  12. *Cracks knuckles* This'll be a fun post. Demon Summoning/Dark Miasma is a top tier combo, very deadly. Heavy damage and debuff and crowd control. Thugs/Storm Summoning is a combo that is very underrated. Gang War + Lightning Storm +Tornado can really wreck mobs. Mercenaries/Electrical Affinity is pretty good now with the recent buff, Electrical Affinity is pretty damn good with any primary set but I find it especially helps juice up Mercenaries on account of they need the boost the most (arguably). Plus if you throw Amp Up and Serum on your Commando he's gonna be throwing a lot of damage for a bit before the crash. Demon Summoning/Traps is a very good combination I played back on live, though to be honest I haven't done it since then (mainly cus I don't have a RP concept) Beast Mastery/Poison is a very rare one I find, but it's pretty good. Not going to be breaking the game any time soon with it but since all your pets are melee it pairs well with Noxious Gas Robotics/Cold Domination or Sonic Resonance would be good if you wanted to make the robots even sturdier. If I recall correct they're the most tanky Mastermind pets and can take a lot of punishment before going down, pair their natural resistances with either one of these sets that ups their defense/resistance and you've got some good bodyguards. And that's all, folks. I got no idea about Zombies or Ninjas stat wise. One day I'll play them, maybe, if we ever get Pet Customization. 🙂
  13. I like the Prestige Pets conceptually, they're cute and fun. But mechanically, they need a serious buff. The fact that anything in the game can one shot them makes their buffs completely pointless. Even with T4 Barrier at the helm of your arsenal there's no way these little guys are gonna survive any fight. If the problem is you get these buffs for free, then increase the cost of using them in exchange for the buffs/survivability being better. Maybe make them cost more endurance or something? I dunno. They've essentially been worthless from their release aside from going "Awwh cute little robot!" etc. And while we're on the subject, why not make the Vanity Pets have stats/buffs/health/endurance etc? I know they're just meant to be for appearances and to follow you around and look cool but COME ON - are you seriously telling me none of you would want one of the Lions added to your Beast Mastery arsenal? Or have the little Spider pet shoot webs to immobilize enemies? I know there's a lot of those pets in question so making them combat ready would be a bit of work, but I'm sure assets could be recycled to achieve this. If folks would rather keep them non-combat that's fine, I won't whine. But I'd still like the Prestige Pets to be buffed, at least, some of them are just so darn cute and I'd like them to be somewhat usable. I'm not expecting them to be game breaking or anything like that but as they are now, their inclusion is pointless 😞
  14. Another thing about Spines that's always stopped me using it the fact you can change the spine type - but not the colour of the power effects themselves. So even if I have for example, I could have sleek, metallic spines of bright gold (ooo, shiny!) but the projectiles still produce bile green effects, and on impact the effect of hitting the enemy is bright red/green. I've always hated this. We can do so much with power customization now but this is one of the sets that never fully experienced it (imho). I wanna shoot gold acid out my spines! T-T OR RED, FOR BLOOD! 😮 Same goes for Thorny Assault. But yes, the redraw problem is also valid!

  16. I know its a minor change, but... Having St. Martial connected to Pocket D has served me in the past as a villain. At higher levels I have almost no reason to go back to Mercy Isle (unless its for RP or some rare missions), Atlas Park is a different story as its a place that can lead to the Rikti War Zone and Recluse's Victory. Two places that Mercy doesn't connect to at all. Imho this change doesnt need to happen at all, aside from maybe the Nova Praetoria one, that's fine. But having Pocket D connect to three zones at different level ranges is pretty useful. Port Oakes and Mercy are pretty close to level range, honestly. And on top of that, Port Oakes's entrance to Pocket D is right by the ferry anyways, so having a Mercy Island option seems pointless to me. In general though, these options of transportation are less popular due to Long Ranged Teleporter and other forms of getting around, so why change them? Just leave them be and focus on some areas that could use the extra help. I've never heard an outcry for this particular change. If you guys really wanna add these new entrances that's cool, but I'd really appreciate it if you didn't replace the ones we already have (pretty please). 🙂

  18. Hello everyone! First of all, I'd love to say a BIG THANK YOU to the Developers for the recent update, Issue 27: Part 2, as I've really been enjoying it so far. For those not sure on what this post series is about, by all means check out the previous two in the link above to get informed. Disclaimer: As always, these suggestions and requests are only "Pretty please, with cherries!" comments. It's important to remember Homecoming is made of volunteers and coding this game is like surfing on the back of an alligator while doing your taxes, its not easy. Despite my never-ending craving for more content in this game, if none of these changes never see development I won't kick and scream (though I am pleased to say some already have seen the light of day from previous posts!) - now, with all that out the way. Let's continue adding to the list! 1. Upgrade the "Vault Reserve" system to hold more than Personal Invention Salvage, and if possible, make it account wide (if it isn't already, I honestly don't know) - Let's be real, most MMORPGs have a bank system, like, an actual one. While I always give City a little wiggle room as it was made all the way back in 2004, I can't stress enough how useful this would be. Yes, we can all each email our money, salvage, enhancements etc etc to ourselves and move the goods around that way. Yes, we have bases that can also hold these things, too. But if it could be done with the games code, wouldn't it be better to just have the Vault Reserve, a literal BANK, hold our stuff, too? Now, whether or not this is a pipedream or not, I don't know. I'm an artist, not a coder. But this is one of those features I'd really appreciate if it could be achieved. 2. Make the Crab Spider Backpack a toggle - I love VEATs, they're one of my favourite classes in the game (yes, even Widows!). But one in particular I've avoided 99.9% of the time is... you guessed it, Crab Spiders. Now, this isn't because I dislike the concept or the powers, or even the numbers they give if you want to go into the min-maxy side of it, no, not one bit. What makes me avoid them as a Roleplayer most of the time is one crucial thing. You can't. Remove. The backpack. They superglue it onto all your costumes until you respec out of it, and while with some it looks cool, for others, it just looks hideous. I know that lore wise they're attached to the spine - but let's be real, that's a bit daft. When I first saw Crab Spiders in game (the NPCs for Arachnos) I figured the crabpack was part of the power armour, because they're described in the lore as Rogue Isles SWAT teams, basically. And you don't see the SWAT teams of our world gluing their riot shields to their person for efficiency. Now, Arachnos aren't known for their health benefits or giving their soldiers a good quality of life, but attaching it as they do just seems like a waste of resources conceptually (to me at least). Let's be real, the closest thing we have in game to "Power Armour" as a class/set is a Crab Spider - so why not lean into that? If we could make the crabpack a toggle that would be amazing for the Roleplay community. it would even help people who don't RP who want the pack for one costume but want it gone for another. This is another huge ask, I know, but I'm not the only one this train of thought, I've seen it around on the forums. If it ever comes to pass, you can bet I'll be making more Spiders! 3. Update Shadow Shard Task Forces - This request will be shorter, I promise. Whenever I see Shadow Shard content as the WST my default response is "Well, there's always next week". They're long, dull, and exclusively heroside. Wouldn't it make sense to have Shadow Shard content be co-op? As it would be in the villains interest to make sure the Soldiers or Rularuu don't get to uppity? On top of that, the final bosses in my experience are seriously underpowered compared to most AVs. It's so underwhelming having to do all those missions for a final boss that dies almost instantly. Basically, trim the mission count for all of them, make them co-op and juice up those AVs with some more power so they actually feel threatening. 4. Add VEAT Power Customization - My redsider must really be showing with this post, one giant rant about Crab Spiders and now this? Hehe. Kidding aside, Kheldians now get to colour their powers and that's awesome. I'd really like the same for Arachnos Soldier's and Widows, and compared to some of my other requests, I think this one is far less demanding on the code! 5. More Epic Pool Power Options - Now don't get me wrong, aside from the Epic Archetypes. The classes in the game already have a lot of options for their Ancillary/Epic/Patron Pool powers. But with that said, maybe one or two more couldn't hurt? Heck. The addition of one more for each AT would be a massive help for variety to builds. There's 15 Archetypes, and the epic pools are mostly just swaps of powers that already exist anyway, very few of them are unique, so even the inclusion of just one for each class would be a great help for builds. The main reason I ask for this one is because I find myself using the same sets (mainly for Brutes, maybe its a me problem?). Phew, okay then. I didn't expect that to be as wordy as it was but there it is. Now, once again, I'm not a coder, and I don't know the work plan of HC's developers but I'm thankful for what we've been getting so far (Katana bug fix is best fix). I'm even more thankful this game still has an active community despite it being so old. I've grown up with this game and its amazing to see it revitalized in such a manner.   19. A brand new zone, a hecking Warrior's update, and what I am PRAYING is a Earth Judgement power. This is nice. This is very nice. P.S. Maybe there's hope for other gang factions? I mean... if Warriors are getting it, surely that could mean an upgrade for the others? If the Hellions get a touch up, plz don't remove the Damned mask, its too iconic in it's own goofy way. Oh! And this P.S. isn't an impatient wiggle demanding more, I'm very happy with what we have so far, and I'm hype for the further Mastermind changes. You guys are doing amazing, make what you can/want at your own pace! ❤️
  20. I have a lot of fun with this event, I look forward to them every time they're upcoming and count the days until its time. The idea is so fun and corrupt and its perfect for villains. I'm still a little salty I didn't think of it first, my first session as the Ring Girl was also very fun, I hope Mortar entertained people with her crazy Freakshow antics! 💚💜

  22. For those that don't know, I posted a topic in 2019 about what I'd like to see added to the game, as I wanted to make a list rather than posting each individual thing and make spam. Finally, after two year's. I'm following up on that list, I'd like to point out I won't be making repeats of things I have already requested to avoid repetition. So lets get to it! 😄 ( DISCLAIMER: I'm happy the game is even awake right now and so lively, EVERYTHING I ask for is a "Pretty please, with cherries!" and not a nerdy outcry of rage, I understand this is all volunteer work and coding this game is like fighting bears. If I never see these changes I won't whine, I'm still super excited and thankful to be part of this community, I just think bringing back this idea would be fun! ) Here we goooooo~! 1. Minimal EFX options for the weapon sets (Or at least the chance to colour the current effects). - So I love sets like Broadsword, War Mace, Battle Axe, Assault Rifle and Dual Pistols (especially Dual Pistols). What I DON'T like is Broadsword's mandatory red effects on the higher tier powers, or Dual Pistols blue after images on Hail of Bullets or Bullet Rain, for example. I think its super lame that sets like Beam Rifle and Titan Weapons can customize their power colours and the older ones can't, I'd really appreciate the option to have the blue ghosts on Dual Pistols go away or have Battle Axe's bigger attacks not do a BLINDING GOLD each time. 2. Add these costume pieces to HC, pretty PRETTY please. Or better yet, find the person who made them and get them on your team if they aren't already, they're super talented! 3. Make the Ouroboros Task/Strike Forces and Story Arcs part of the WST rotation. - Seriously, the WST rotation could use some more love and these Ouroboros storylines are perfectly valid and usable to add some much needed variety, especially for the dozens of redside players who had fewer main STs to work with. Do you have ANY idea how much I love the Mender Silos Task Force? It's one of my favourites, but the rewards for it just aren't worth gathering a bunch of people for it unless, like me, they really dig the content and story. 4. Add Reward Merit drops to Developer's Choice arcs. - I love AE, but lets be real, a majority of its usage is just for farming now, which honestly is a shame. If the Developer's Choice story arcs had some Reward Merit drops I think it could potentially add some much needed love to the players stories that aren't just "Kill these over and over for fat lootz!" (not that I don't take advantage of those from time to time, heh.) 5. More IO sets - To an extent, this has already come true! I LOVE the new IO sets we have so far, so you've dang dunnit now, HC, you got me hungry for more! (Maybe some new ATO sets, too. That'd be pretty cool!) 6. Mastermind pet customization - I know this one is a BIG ask, and will probably never see the light of day due to how much of a nightmare it would be to code. But I'd really love to spice up the wardrobe of my Thugs, Zombies, Mercenaries and ESPECIALLY Ninjas. Demon', Beast's and Robots realistically would be way harder to make costumes for, so I'd suggest a simply model swap for those, for example. For Robot's give players the option to swap out the models for the standard bots with the PPD drones, or Malta while still keeping the powers. Again, I know this would be a HUGE ask especially with some of the animations, but its still very much worth mentioning. And that's my extra request's for now, do you agree with this list's I've done so far? What do YOU want to see in the game? Let me know! 🙂 See you in game! ❤️
  23. Personally Super Strength on Stalkers/Scrappers sounds like a fun (but incredibly unbalanced and silly) idea. The floodgates have already kind of been opened for Stalkers already, since they now have Shield Defence and Fire Aura. >_> I'm not a balance expert but I honestly believe some sets need to stay on some ATs to make them stand out a bit and keep some illusion of balance. Maybe I'm just old fashioned.
