What would you mix with skulls, hellions, or devouring earth?

It doesn't have to be a power set! But with the community thriving as it is, and our staffers knocking it out of the park like 99 maniacs, it seems we might have an opportunity to bend our collective heads together and actually build some power sets that we might like to see. How many animation students do we have who could bend the form of CoX to their will? How many programming students could twist the code to forge these sets into being? Try to be concise, fill a niche that isn't already present, or offer a skin to something that already exists. Try not to overbalance, and use an existing powerset as a basis for your design if you go into more than 'it would be nice to have whips', and remember that if you add something, take something away. Just throwing out my initial reactions and observations: Whips (flesh out the flaming whip animations from Mastermind - Demons) Mastermind - Cultists Mastermind - Arachnos Mastermind - Freedom Corps Mastermind - Ghosts Flechettes (a ranged powerset with multiple light hits, sprays and cones, and scatterings of lethal damage, perhaps with a toxic or debuffing effect thrown in on various points.) I'll cruise back later to add more meat to these bones in the future, but what ideas are in your pretty little heads, my cutie patooties? How would you make a mark on City of Heroes?

After much spinning about, yes, it is on Everlasting. It's built to be a RedGuild, but we may have blue-friends. The tone is heroic, but the activities are... definitely not.

Anyone from Virtue who ever wanted to play with the idea of a full or nearly fully Mutant based Supergroup founded on the ideas of 'magic bad' and 'mutants good', by all means consider putting together a character for Nation. This is a fully RP VG who engages in questionable acts, at best, and has lofty and noble goals of freedom and equality and cooperation for all of mutant kind (The Evolved). Canvas is with us. Back in Black Agony. Still trying to decide whether to play on Eternity or Excelsior.

And now alted onto Eternity, because I wanted to level one to ten four times in two days. XD

We might have a lot to talk about! I played the Androgyne - we actually met once on a PuG around the launch of Issue 10 and chatted about the possibility of bringing the character into Nation way back then, funnily enough. The timing never quite worked out, but the character still wound up there the long way: after a Vanguard-aided reform and years spent blueside, RP brought em into contact with remnants of Nation in 2011. Androgyne spent the last year of the game stirring the movement from dormancy, rehabilitating its reputation, and recruiting new and old blood, before formally assuming the role of Exarch the day after the shutdown announcement. Nation ended the game on a high note by squeaking into a non-state observer seat at the U.N. General Assembly, and a bunch of us have kept some measure of Nation's Virtue continuity going via forums and IMs over the years, as well as a short-lived reboot in Champions. How did I not see any of this!? *laughs* Also Agony was on Champions, so I'm surprised I didn't bump into any of you -there- either. It's good to be back in red and black. :'(
