Have edited that. meant to say REUNION. (Defiant was one of the old live servers.) To address UltraAlt's suggestion i move my Reunion alts to another server with a higher pop. I have been doing that. Of course that means I'm also losing some VERY good names as I grabbed quite a few in the early days of Homecoming on Reunion, thinking the server would be popular. The basic point remains however, what can we do in a practical sense to stem longterm population decline? Can we amalgamte servers?

Good to see hard evidence indicating no actual decline but my question is, is there any actual attempt by any groups (players or GMs) to increase populations? I would like to see that and would be happy to contribute where I can. Over the past week on REUNION, I've had exactly one team, tried to form several myself and had no luck, and missed several GMs through simple lack of interest. This is not just because of 'a bad time of day'. I've had very little luck on MOST days, including European weekends at all hours. Also is there any discussion of amalgamating low population servers to provide critical mass?

Got to say, I'm so glad I updated this conversation. Lots of food for thought in all your helpful comments. Not a computer person - and far too old now to catch that bus - so probably only understand about 30% of what's being said but it's all still helpful. Currently hoping I can identify a LIGHTWEIGHT laptop with NVIDIA and camera (for work meetings). I would continue with my Dell XPS 15 if it weren't so damn heavy!

OK. Just updating. Have been using DELL XPS 15" and CoH works fine. Only problem now is that the thing is way too heavy to lug around. Would DELL XPS 13" work OK with CoH? Much lighter but without the NVIDIA graphics. Sorry to labour this. Work is paying for this so keen not to stuff them around too much. Money not an object but need lightweight, travel friendly, good graphics, looks good for work and not too much like a gamer laptop.

Looking for advice on a good work laptop 14” that can also play COH. I only play COH; no other games. I don’t want something that looks like a gamer laptop but is solid portable work laptop with a 14” screen and camera for ZOOM meetings on which I can also play COH when I’m travelling. I like the look of the HP ENVY 14 but am not a computer guy so have no idea whether this will play COH. in terms of graphics it has : Max-Q Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti (4GB GDDR5 RAM). Intel Iris Xe HELP!

Could |I ask if you guys could paste your build here old style please? That is, listing all the powers and enhancements in full. I don't know why but after several attempts over the past year I am still unable to download mids onto my PC so can never read builds that are referenced via that. Hope you can do this. Bumping this up. I am interested in exactly the same powersets and agree with OP - lots of Rad/Dark builds but very little on DM/Rad brutes. Grateful any contributions to this topic!

Neither crying nor whining. I put this topic up because it's an opportunity to explain in full why I say No Tells Please. You're right though arcane to the extent that if you don't want to follow a simple request from someone forming a GM Hunt or similar, you shouldn't try to join.

Abused again this morning because I form teams for GM runs with saying, NO TELLS PLEASE. SHOUT IN BROADCAST. To give a specific example, this is the invitation I use for the Boomtown GMs: “lfm 2GMs BABBAGE + GOLIATH WARWALKER. Come to Boomtown (off north Steel) and shout in BROADCAST. No tells please. ALL WELCOME. 12 quick merits, 2 cool badges.” (In a number of cases – like the above example – the invite even includes directions to help people get to the zone.) There’s a variety of reasons for this, including: much easier to organise people across teams in league when you only need to look at broadcasts ensures rest of league is not waiting on peeps who don’t know how to get to a zone avoids problem whereby you can't move people around in a league because someone is out of zone avoids situations where one of my lower level alts is lowering the invitee’s level while they’re travelling to the zone avoids the 'You cannot invite an enemy' bullshit I’d guess this morning’s GM run was held about 4am US east coast time on Excelsior but in the Boomtown leg, I was still having to manage a league of more than 16 people all talking in local, broadcast, team and league chats! That can get confusing on top of moving people between league teams, answering broadcast requests for invites, TPing latecomers and trying to get my own hit in on the GM. So when a guy sends repeat tells (“are they still up?”, “invite me”, “fucking invite me!”), and finally a tell that reads “Ignore your fucking stupid rules and invite me or ignore me!” and then puts ME on HIS ignore list, I’m somewhat pissed. Some of my alts can solo the GMs I find but I still advertise in case others want them. I’ve got no problem if others want to search for GMs, give shout outs, and organise teams/leagues anyway they see fit but I don’t think it’s too unreasonable for me to do all that the way that works for me.

cannot log in. computer illiterate as well. was playing fine last night following latest patch update but today I try to login via Tequila and just get this message: Manifest download error for http://patch.savecoh.com/manifest.xml Unable to connect to the remote server Have tried turning PC on/off. Have tried "revalidating". Anyone know the solution???

This thread and the FIRE/KIN and ICE/KIN builds are very interesting. But it reminded me that back on live RAD/KINs used to be a thing. They seem to have gone the way of fire/kin controllers only more so as at least you see one of those every so often on Homecoming. Are Rad/Kins no longer viable?

Just saw this thread for the first time today - one hour after taking my own Electric/FF controller to 50! Gotta say I'm debating whether to cannabalise him for the IOs or try fixing him as he's been quite slow to play. And as much as I love FF there's not a lot there that's of use to other players at higher levels. Would be very interested in any reviews / critiques of the build initially posted.

*BUMP Saw no-one had responded to this. Coincidentally I'm really enjoying my rad/time corruptor, Watchman. He's at level 35 but before I choose or not choose an epic set I wondered if anyone else could offer any advice on rad/time. Is it a popular set? Wha epics go well? Whatever happened to GreyMoth?

Need help if possible. /petition and /support come up with error messages so can't work out how to get ingame support. So posting here. Basically my global is @Nightwatch. I've always sent enhancements and such to myself to transfer between toons. But for at least today while I've been on Excelsior and playing my toon Nightowl, I've been sending these to @Nightowl which is NOT me. This includes at least 4 Soulbound Allegience. Have tried contacting @Nightowl but says he is hidden, the account doesn't exist or he's not online. Will keep trying but is any developer able to assist please?

Having so much fun running my Water / Ice Blaster Turtle Man but am unimpressed by the epic powers sets available hero side now that I'm at the level to choose one. Can anyone recommend a good epic power set for Turtle Man? Would I be better off going to the redside and picking up a set there instead? Thanks.

I agree it would not be great for PVP. I'm in fact actually interested in PVE. The only reason I posted here is that the original post was the only mention I could find for EM/SR. Still interested in an EM/SR build for PvE.
