  1. My favourite two Kheldian characters riff on the idea that the toon is a union of two beings and one half might not end up with what they were hoping for. So - my Warshade (on live), was a sensitive poet of a Kheldian who thought he was melding with a similarly sensitive human soul. What he actually ended up with was a mopey emo-teen girl who hated *everything* so Sarcasma was born! My Peacebringer (on HC) is a rugged human marine who joined the Kheldian super-soldier programme secretly hoping for a name like "Shining Death". He ended up paired with a rather wistful alien who just *loves" sparkly things so their resulting union was code-named Fairy Lights. Makes me smile, anyway 😉
  2. Thanks all. It's what I had assumed but I've encountered some weirdly small spawn sizes in missions recently when leading a full team and wondered if the diff setting might be to blame. Probably just put it down to general weirdness (whoever he is).
  3. I've searched the forums, scoured ParagonWiki and still can't find an answer to this so I'm turning to the Hive Mind.... Can anyone tell me definitively how the Notoriety/Difficulty settings work when you're setting the mission for a team? For example: I have my Notoriety set to +1 level x3 team size. If I solo a mission, I encounter spawns as if I was one level higher and in a team of three. I get that. But what happens if I form a team of 8 and leave the notoriety setting the same? Does the game automatically ignore the "x3" team size setting and set the spawns for the larger team size? Or do I need to manually adjust the notoriety setting to the higher value so we don't end up with undersized spawns (so to speak). I've tried experimenting in game but it feels a bit indulgent to try and waste seven other peoples' time just to explore a theory... Thanks (and sorry if this has been answered somewhere else and I just missed it).

    (Re)Union!

Union was my home too. I remember Crimson, Damz and Coin from the boards, although I wasn't much of a poster myself. @Dragon Alpha was my global and some of my (many) alts included Dolly Macabre the evil Doll MM, Sarcasma the emo teen Warshade and Synaesthetic the trans Illusion Controller (who I managed to finally get to perma-phants). Aah, good times.
  5. Thank you. You've done so much more than bring back a game. You've re-opened the space that has allowed so many lovely people to come back together again. I don't know what it is about CoH that attracts such great people but it's still there. Originally bought this game to play with my oldest friend who I don't get to see as often as I like and then got hooked on the community. I probably played pretty much every day from then on (don't ask me years, I'm over 50, it would be a complete guess!). Since it was shut down my life has change almost beyond all recognition. The man I *knew* I'd spend the rest of my life with is dead, I've completely changed my career, and I'm starting to get used to a brand new, well, everything! And then this comes back with the same atmosphere, community and banter to remind me of so much that I'd forgotten. Thank you.
