I keep getting a game freeze and Windows "City of Heroes has stopped responding" crashing error when I blast down the door after talking to the clockwork in the Praetorian Tutorial Mission. I did send the Clockwork above, I could maybe try not doing that, but... not sure. The actual crash seems to happen when Wrencher speaks. Anyone know how to fix this without having to delete and remake the character (didn't save her costume yet. :() and skip the tutorial?

I have a character based on the stripper from the movie B***h Slap. Her name is changed of course, but her costumes are similar to the outfits the stripper wears in the movie lol (as for them being copyrighted, I don't really see how a shiny gold dress that has existed in the game for years is 'copyrighted' is it?) Let's see then my character Queen of Spades I actually created like 36 years ago in the old TSR Marvel Super Heroes Advanced game. I first made her back on the Virtue server and I have a few screenshots of her hanging out in Gemini Park with Ghost Widow (one of the devs logged in as and RPing Ghost Widow) and Ascendant (a very famous player who I'm sure you all know who he is, he is missed) on the final days of the live servers.

Whatever folder your client is installed to and where the homecoming.exe is located should be where you would need to place my mod. If the above location you provided is the correct location, then you would simply have to copy my files into the data folder there. If there is no data folder then you can create one and place my files there. If you've ever saved costumes you'll know you're in the right place if you see a costumes folder with all your saved costumes inside. Oh the same folder the costumes folder is in? Okay that helps, yeah. Thanks! EDIT: I'm still not seeing it, music in Pocket D is normal. EDIT 2: Got it! I was leaving them in Data/Jem Mods and it apparently won't go beyond to folders it doesn't recognize haha.

Tempest actually talked about this. Actual customization is unlikely, but they do want to give us more options. Like the way he explained it... Say you have a "Soldiers" set. This would include your Mercenaries, Longbow, Arachnos, etc. The customization you pick would flavor it a bit. Or Civilians would include Thugs and others like that. Now again, this was more Tempest brainstorming with players in Kallisti Wharf, however as he said, this kid of "more options" is way more likely that the full customization we wish we could have, but probably isn't feasible.

You sure you aren't thinking of Sorcery? As I remember, Sorcery was the only one finished and it was released right before the sunset annoucement.

I mostly have seen it as the Battalion haven't arrived yet. Maybe they will if the Homecoming team goes that route, maybe they won't. For the most part when I remake chararacters, they are the same, however one I did change from being an Empath/Psi Defender to a Peacebringer, however even that is something that I say happened recently. She's RP wise still an Empath/Psi, but she merged with a Kheldian and so now her Empath powers just 'color' her Peacebringer energy (most of her costumes I use a green color for her powers)

As a sort of joke sort of serious, I made a stripper in a gold dress named Trixie as a Ninja Blade/Ninjitsu stalker for the hilarity. Yes, she's a character from a movie, but hey it's all in fun and I make no attempts to hide that she's based on the movie character. :) I have as close as one can get to all of the different outfits she wears in the movie and whenever I change costumes, I do the ninja leap change emote based on the scene in the movie where she leaps into the air does backflips across the room and lands on a man's lap ("I call this move 'Shock and Awe!'") The name of the movie is <female dog> SLAP.

I am friends with some of the ladies in this video. :) (Oh and also the song may be NSFW, it has an f-bomb or two, not to mention it's kind of violent, it's about two raider gangs in Las Vegas fighting each other.)

Yea, I actually edited my post because of that first comment wondering if I was just trying to stir up drama, as I had originally reiterated what was said to me by someone else... so based on what he said, pretty sure he was very clearly trying to provoke me as he was accusing me of having said things I never said, much less before I even knew these servers existed. To clear up confusion that the Facebook group created for me. I Thought SCORE and Homecoming are the same, but I could be wrong.

Ah, really? I've always just done the tutorial as I think it's fun to RP and make the decision of which side to join in game, so I never imagined it would bug out if I did skip the tutorial. Good to know for the future.

So, the SCORE team is who runs Homecoming, yes? I recently got reamed on a Facebook page that I just recently joined for saying that the Homecoming team made changes that SCORE actually made, and also was told other things that I'd supposedly said about a month ago that not only did I not say, but I've not even been around that long (only since the 29th here, and less than a week in that Facebook group) EDIT reason: To remove possible 'drama' and focus on the question itself.

Champions was a superhero rpg long before COH was a gleam in its creators eye. And it would have been a lot more complicated but a lot more satisfying if they translated Champions pnp to a computer game.*sighs* the more you rea about the lore, the more you see how they butchered such an interesting world with that MMO You hit the nail on the head why I don't like Champions Online. It's not Champions, it's a lackluster game with a haphazard Champions paintjob.

That happened sometimes even back in the day. A name changed or they moved something, it throws errors to your costumes. Luckily most of mine have been mostly working, just a few fixes, if any. Funny thing is, it doesn't error existing costumes you have saved in actual slots. Like there was for awhile a bug where you could get a totally invisible chest. It was quickly fixed, but anyone that caught it was able to keep the costume, as long as you didn't make ANY changes whatsoever to that slot. Any changes would invalidate the slot and force you to pick an actual chest.

Agreed, the name would kinda be cool, but hopefully you can still get your names! I was still able to get all mine, including the name I always wanted but never had on Virtue, Queen of Spades! I actually created the character when I was like 8 or 9 (I'm 41 now lol) and was kinda really bummed that I couldn't get the name on Virtue, so I named her Elizabeth Spade. But now? She's Queen of Spades again! If you want to hit me up, this is my global name too. :)

Check what I said above about how technically Tequila is a virus by definition (but so is the World of Warcraft patcher and most other video game patchers these days) as that might be the issue, your AV program is blocking it.

Well, is it Tequila itself? If so you might check you Anti-virus. Due to the use of Heuristics for patching purposes, Anti-virus programs tend to block Tequila (and many other legit uses of Heuristics.) Most games use them for patching these days (otherwise you would have to download the entirety of every little file that had changed, instead you download only what's changed and the patch program modifies the existing file (which IS by definition virus behavior)) but it's only the big games like for example World of Warcraft or such that the AV companies pre-flag to ignore the fact that the patch program is acting like a virus on the game files. You can add an exception to the game folder, or in an emergency if you need to reinstall after your AV has deleted the Tequila exe (it will do that, delete the 'virus' when it tries to update) or you can with some AV programs temporarily turn it off for 10min, just long enough for Tequila to patch itself.
