It's really funny, because I noticed the exact opposite that when Rampage got 1 vote, Vault Luxe would be 2-3 votes ahead. I genuinely believe that that was simply because those two bases were beyond awesome, that they were just that good. The drama here is just about the vote tampering the last few moments of the poll.

I'm going to be entirely honest about this weird voting drama. The fact that both Luxe and Rampage were neck-and-neck this whole poll was actually pretty fun. Both bases are super unique and outside the box and show you new ways on what you can do with the base creator. They both deserved the votes. So, it just kind of sucks the fun out of my amazingly important spectating pleasure to see a bunch of votes curve the contest in the last minutes of the poll. But I guess like idk well done?

I would love to RP in Crash Castle and DEEP sometime. Deep was very pretty.

Dang, if Rampage got just one more vote it would've been Nice.

My one little issue with the SO drops at low levels is that you get a whole mix of origins instead of ones specific for your character. True, you have a lot more enhancements to sell and you can easily buy more on your own that way. But it's just a minor inconvenience when soloing in the 1-10 level range.

Salaries? I can't tell if this is a blend of IC/OOC or you're actually giving people money to give others imaginary drinks.

Currently the SG I'm in is doing a weird time travel/reality breaking event where our characters are transforming into different dimensional versions of each other as space/time collapses in on itself. Back in 2005, the Holiday event had Christmas themed Longbow and Arachnos contacts giving out missions called Operation Holiday Cheer and Operation Scrooge. And your hero had to go to Mercy Island and save Christmas and take back Christmas presents. And your villain had to steal presents. It was just a short one-mission event with 4 glowies. Why has this never come back? I genuinely miss it, even if it was just a small little thing. Does it still exist in the old coding somewhere?

Hypocritical?! Look, Praetorian, it's been two months. You've probably made your decision by now, and judging from all the answers, I'm going to assume you went to the Isles, and I'm going to assume you're climbing Lord Recluse's ladder and you're being happily rewarded for it. But, the jobs you are taking when you go preform heists in Paragon only hurt your own people. Kallisti Wharf has a large amount of Praetorian refugees integrating within society. Paragon City is home to the superhero team, the New Praetorians. The FBSA and Vanguard work hard to keep Praetorians safe. Freedom Corps, Kord Industries, and Portal Corp is happily taking in Praetorian scientists to work for them to build a better world. Paragon City hosts a thriving community for people like you. My advice to you is to go to Paragon not as an enemy but as a visitor. Go speak to fellow Praetorians and ask them for their experiences. Compare them with your own and make your own, final choice. All else I can ask is that you be careful of the institutions and organizations that are taking advantage of great Praetorian minds, like the Council, who wish to dominate the world under an iron fist. The ones who wish to hurt people. I believe in second chances.

Do what Patti said! There's no wrong way to RP and no one complains about people playing their characters from Live. For Lore, I'd recommend scourging through Paragonwiki or plunging through the old story arcs and contacts of the game. That first content has a lot of basework for many of the villain groups of the game with details on what they do, who they work for, etc. Remember, you can always make up your own villains too but it's generally a good idea to get the Basic Lore down so no one laughs at you or disowns your entire family or something. Number one rule tho is to just have fun ofc. If you ever want to run content together or RP blueside just hit me up!

Hi! Thanks for asking! I would say that Bonezone is definitely my nemesis. Us two just keep running into each other, you know? He'll rob a jewelry store or hold up a bank and I just always seem to be in the area. It's funny like that! No, we definitely have history given our first few encounters and it's all boiled down to a sort of respectful spiteness towards each other. Better nemesis than Frosty Chill. Favorite team ups? It's always shifting and I don't like to not include people but here's a short list: Chromeheart (American Steel represent!), Hex Worker is good to work with, Union Jane (though rare), Nightshield, and Raincaller.

In that vein of the sense, I like my style of Superhero RP to mimic long-standing comic book runs. Give me a bunch of events with one-off villains, PUG groups, short AE events or text-based stories involving the "standard" crimefighting dramatics. Sometimes throw in a Galactus -- High Level threat. And Sometimes give me a social event or two. GOD. I hate social events. I'll do em. I'll have fun and goof off with them. But ohhh my god. We are Superheroes. I want less BBQs and more crimefighting!

While I don't think people should be rude to others who ignore the lore, I do think people should make some attempt in incorporating the Lore with their backstories. There's still a lot about CoH that leaves many, many gaps that real lore-breaking stuff is mostly a non-issue. But as long as anyone isn't Ghost Widow's sister or whatever, its all good. It'd be cool to have a forum thread asking questions about Lore and whatnot. I know there's a little Lore channel in the RP Discord. But that's Discord and a bit hard to navigate. Paragonwiki can be a bit hard to compile everythng about a certain topic in like 10-15 minutes anyway.

I fear that these firey spine-bodied breed of hero are necessary in keeping the Council at bay. If it weren't for these men and women, the Council would be doubling-- tripling! -- their criminal activities on Peregrine Island.

(Some plot seeds you all can take and have fun with in your RPs. They're vague enough that any direction you take from them, it could be considered 'canon.') The PPD have been noticing a rather large increase in Council activity in Peregrine Island over the past few weeks. Longbow have been monitoring the situation closely and speculate that the Council are after Portal Corp technology... Why? As people are rushing to the beaches this summer, the internet is on fire with weird, blurry photos of what looks to be fish people sighted out on the coast of Paragon City. To the knowing hero, it's obvious that they're Coralax. It seems that their numbers are springing up and being sighted in the beaches of Talos, Founders' Falls, and more! All around the nice neighborhoods and districts of Paragon City, pamphlets are being passed around for a promise of a Pure Earth. The message seems to be very pro-human and anti-mutant.

Paragon City firefighters and police rushed to the scene, "But [the Police] were outnumbered," PPD SWAT Officer Marcus Roos explained, "The Skulls had too many contraband weapons and literal dark magic on them." The scene, Officer Roos described, was a street covered in shadow, and he could not even see the flash of gunfire. "We were about to call MAGI until a great ray of light cut through the dark." In that moment, officials say that the superhero, All-Star, came down from the sky and battled the gang. It was over in ten minutes and the police swooped in to arrest the Skull arsonists. The Firefighters were able to put out the fires. The fires were mainly concentrated in empty offices. Doctor Jack Frohling of the Superadine Treatment Clinic gave his thanks to the Paragon Police Department, Fire Department, and the heroes of Paragon City. "The Skulls sees this rehab center as a threat to their business of putting superadine on the streets. If that's the case, then I say we, the people of this city, need to press on and keep people educated about and treated from the harmful effects of this drug." All-Star was unavailable for comment with the Paragon Times, though she had tweeted last night at 2:32 AM delivering a short rant, "Who attacks a rehab center? That's just low! Stay safe tonight. If you or someone you know is addicted to Superadine, please reach out to places like these. It really makes a difference." Zero people were injured last night. Court dates for the criminals are yet to be determined.
