  1. I agree about the mobs levels being a bit high but... when it tells you to fight skulls in the north, you can actually take them down anywhere. Ignore the marker, just go back down south if you have to. I did that this morning.
  2. I remember Aerie. Welcome home! You certainly saved me from a faceplant a few times in Hollows as you flew by lol
  3. "there is a bias of violence against women from men that isn't present in the reverse..." That is only true if you look, exclusively, at the 'official' stats. When a woman complains about a man being violent towards her, the world jumps to her aid. The media carry out a campaign of harassment against the man which goes on till he's dead while protecting the woman's identity. When a man complains about a woman being violent towards him, the world jumps to her aid. He's told to man up and take it. He's told to stop being such a baby and the press splash his details about with glee while protecting her identity. Most attacks by women on men go unreported and of those that are reported, very few are recorded if any excuse can be found for failing to do so.
  4. I rarely bother with all that messing about with my MM's unless the situation is unusual. I just target a single mob, usually the boss or a lieutenant and burn that down with all the pets concentrating om it then swap them to another if there is one, or just let them do their own thing if there are only minions left. Micro-management sounds too much like work to me ;)
  5. I had a Razer Naga but I found it to be a bit too small and all the side buttons were so close together it was difficult to just press one. I swapped it for a Logitech G600 which is far more comfortable to use (for me).
  6. *waves back* Luckily for you, the vidiotmaps addon still works :) https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php/topic,4021.msg29272.html#msg29272
  7. There's an entrance to the Paragon Dance Party (I think that's the one) in Steel Canyon, south. You get the 'Dance Queen' (and presumably King if you're on a male character) badge just for walking up to the door. We used to dance under Galaxy Girl's skirt till they zapped galaxy City. Pocket D never really had the same appeal...
  8. No idea. I just duplicated it on tray 9 and use a macro to swap to that when I shapeshift to nova. I've never liked the dwarf so I didn't bother with that one.
  9. I think it works because, from your very first moment in the game, you're out there taking down bad guys (or good guys!). You feel like a potential superhero or supervillian from your very first step. In other MMO's, you start out so weak that a butterfly farting in the field next door sends you flying and you spend your first week collecting flowers or some other time wasting nonsense. Virtually everything you do in CoX helps with your progression whereas most other MMO's seem to be designed to keep you logged in for no purpose other than to make the numbers look good on paper. Having said all that, there are a lot of frustrating things about CoX, few ever really liked those endless convoluted caves where you could spend half an hour hunting down that last well hidden npc, but even that was addressed to some extent with those little red markers now showing their location. I can't help wondering what direction this game would have gone in had the plug not been pulled.
  10. Would be nice to have a head size slider. If you make a short, slim character the head looks far too large.
  11. Whitelist it, if your AV won't let you whitelist things, get a new one that isn't so ridiculously intrusive.
  12. Sprint shouldn't do that but there are powers that prevent you using abilities on others. They're things like some personal shields. etc. Sort of panic buttons, if you like. if you right click on a power and select Info, it'll tell you.
  13. Sure you're using the right one? The game account is not the same as the forum account.
  14. You can actually force your way through the crowd, you just bump others out of the way. Sometimes, if I have trouble, I'll just jump into the middle, that bumps the others around and makes room for me to get in. I don't like pushing other peoples toons around but it's their own fault for standing around a vital npcs...
  15. I can remember always having issues with escort missions. I'd run to the exit, turn around and the npc was nowhere to be seen. I had to backtrack a few times before I learned to slow down and wait at every corner. They simply don't follow correctly, they never did. There are serious pathing issues on some maps. Sometimes they'll jump to try to reach you, sometimes they'll try to find a roundabout route and other times they'll just run round and round in circles or stand still until you come back for them.
