  1. Also, with travel powers available at level 4 and no other way to turn off the stupid server pop-up tray than Null the Gull, low level access to PD is kind of important. If you don't have access via an SG base, there's no other way to get a newly created character there easily. Getting to PD to turn off the travel power server tray is one of the first things I do when I create a new character now. It blocks 3 of my other trays simultaneously and is annoying as all hell. With this change, I don't have to log in an alt to add myself to the SG just to get access to PD to turn off the tray. That being said, I'm all for them being added as additional entrances instead of removing others, if they can find a way to do it.
  2. Just curios if you have a Mids build handy for this one? I just rolled up a Savage/Bio Scrapper and have been looking for builds to reference for slotting. It's my first attempt at a Bio anything so I have zero frame of reference for proper end-game slotting. Thanks!
  3. Thanks for re-re-repeating yourself on my behalf @Sovera. 😉 I'm not a huge forum user, and admittedly not up to speed on all the nuances of procs and such, so I very much appreciate the detail and explanation of the numbers. I usually just find a few existing builds related to what I'm trying to do and cobble them together into something that seems to "make sense" but, obviously, I was missing quite a bit. I just read through the Proc Monster thread and your advice makes a lot more sense to me now, especially in understanding the numbers displayed in Mids, how stacking ATO procs affect real-world totals, etc. I try to read as much as I can through various threads and build discussions before asking questions, but a LOT of the really good info is just scattered all over the forums. I really wish we had "sticky" threads like the old live forums where info like this could reside in something like a "Basic Build Strategy Guide" for us unwashed plebs who aren't as familiar with all the numbers and non-obvious mechanics that come into play. I'm finding that I've pretty much "over built" all of my Tanks. Not that it's the end of the world, they're all tough as hell...but in many cases it appears I've severely compromised my own damage potential chasing defenses that were essentially overkill, even for +4/x8 and Incarnate content. Anyway, I really appreciate the help, and the detailed explanation. It's caused me to go back and re-evaluate some of my other builds as well. Thanks again! 🙂
  4. Yep. Nailed it in 1. I just took it out of Mids to verify and the numbers matched perfectly to the in-game numbers. Thanks! 😁 Still open to build help, if anyone is so inclined.
  5. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone can help me reconcile the numbers I'm seeing in Mids vs the numbers I'm seeing in actual gameplay. I'm not generally a huge min/max number monkey, so maybe I'm just missing something obvious and/or easily fixed. Mids numbers without Incarnates: In-game numbers without Incarnates: Mids numbers with T4 Cardiac Alpha: In-game numbers with T4 Cardiac Alpha: I seem to be missing 5-7% NE, Psy & Cold resists, and I can't figure out where the difference is coming from. I double checked my slotting in game and made sure my ATOs etc. were catalyzed. It's not a HUGE deal, just seems...off. I know Mids accounts for things like Reactive Defense's Scaling Resists to the formula, but even removing that from the build, there's still a 4-5% gap from Mids to in-game. I can get to 90% across the board with 3 stacks from the ATO proc, but I was hoping to get there with just one and, according to the Mids numbers, that should be all I'd need. Here's the build. Any help would be greatly appreciated! (also any build critiques/revisions/suggestions are more than welcome, this is my first swing at a Rad/ Tank, so I may have completely gimped myself without realizing it. Please feel free to point out any relevant stupidity on my part 😉) The goal was capped resists (factoring in the ATO proc) and mostly AOE to perform a team tank role that could wade into pretty much any enemy type without significant holes. I'm pretty sure a respec is in her future anyway. My AOE attack chain has a significant gap and she just feels...clunky, I guess...compared to my Elec/ and SR/ tanks. Anyway, thanks in advance! 6. As an "old school" EM fan and someone who is not a huge number cruncher, doesn't necessarily hunt for "optimal" attack chains, and has never punched a pylon outside of an MSR for any reason, here's my $.02 on the "feel" of the set revamp after some playtime as a Elec/EM tank copied directly from Live (incarnate, but not purpled) and a new EM/Nin Scrapper (purpled, but no incarnates) Overall, the set feels...fine. Certainly a vast improvement on the current state of EM on HC/Live. The new TF is amazing. Didn't really notice a huge difference in BS, EP or WH. I'm a fan of Power Crash, and find myself using it to thin bigger groups, even in lieu of a fast ET. I also don't mind the Focus mechanic as much as I thought I might. The fact that it gives me back my old friend fast ET, well, tyvm! Would I rather have it back 100% of the time? Sure. But I'm happy to have it back at all, and the improvement to TF makes the TF > fET combo pretty much 100% anyway, at least to the point I've accidentally killed myself spamming fast ETs in big groups several times while not paying attention to my own health. That being said, I have only one minor criticism when it comes to the double Focus mechanic on Scrappers and Stalkers... I'd like to second this. There's nothing "wrong" with Focused BS, per se, there's simply no use case for it on a Scrapper or Stalker. There is no scenario where it is a preferred option over another fast ET or a Power Crash, and it actually feels a little weird, and a bit punitive, to have to actively *avoid* using it when you have a 2nd stored Focus. It's not the end of the world, but it does require changing up your attack chain on the fly so as not to "waste" the 2nd Focus. Even on a Tank, aside from leveling, I don't really see Focused BS as terribly desirable, or useful, either. Maybe the -regen comes in handy in a prolonged AV or Monster fight? I guess that's the one scenario I haven't really tested yet. But the set stuns enough on its own that a 100% guaranteed stun isn't much of an incentive to use Focused BS as a one-off. Fast ET and wide PC seem to always be better options. It's a minor thing, but maybe an opportunity for some fine(r) tuning.
  7. They do. They're called AVs and they've been in the game since launch.
  8. Veng stacking nerf? Those were the days...
  9. That's when I quit competitive PvP. :p
