  1. As the title says, I'm looking for some tips if you have any, or a build to work towards - as both of these sets are relatively new to me. Actually scrappers in general are new to me, having only ever played a claws/regen and a katana/ma.

Currently hovering at 30, and it's a bit of a slog. Not interested in starting over, but happy to respec to a playable version of this guy.

    Cheers!

  2. @Force Redux

I liked the build on paper, enough to give it a go. It had lots of unique focus points - mainly, leaning into what makes a Beast/Dark different than other types of Mastermind.

This guy is a BEAST! This is easily one of my most powerful characters! I have 57 level 50+s, all built and slotted as per recommendations on this board, and this is easily in my top 5 most powerful and well rounded characters.

I can wander into any size mobs and wipe them out without breaking a sweat. End is always full. Very-little to no damage on my pets - at all! And at $605m (without playing the market - it could have come cheaper if I was patient, or built the recipes myself), this is one of the cheapest 'uber' builds I've done. AND, 1/3rd of that total cost was in the two purple sets I slotted where you left blanks.

Thank you so much for sharing! I'm off to check other builds you may have posted now 🙂

    • Strangler: Hold sets are generally strong, so this is probably a poor place to seat the ATO.
    • Flares: Your ST rotation isn’t closed, so you probably need to slot this (since you’re forced to take it anyway).
    • Roots: This is primarily a damage-dealing power. Dominating Grasp isn’t a particular good set for your purposes since it has neither recharge nor Ranged def.
    • Hover/Fly: You can save a slot by ditching the Slow Resistance and shift the KB resistance into Fly. If you’re getting hit with Slow effects, you have a lot more to be worried about than the Slow itself.
    • Fire Blast: The 6th Apocalypse does little for you (Psi Defense well below soft cap). Even a Toxic damage proc would work better here.
    • Tough: The HO is unnecessary. Aegis and Gladiator’s Armor 2-set bonuses aren’t fantastically useful, but they’re better than nothing. I’m not sure you use a stray Resistance IO from Aegis.
    • Vines: Even with all those procs, this isn’t going to do all that much damage. You’d be much better off spending the slots in Fire Breath.
    • Afterburner: You really don’t need additional Flight speed here.
    • Maneuvers: I go with 4-set on LotG sometimes, but with 3 slots I’d probably just grab the 2-set for S/L Resist from one of the other Defense sets.
    • Carrion Creepers: I’m not entirely sure on the need for accuracy in this power (I believe it can do out). Slotting recharge would be helpful, though.
    • Tactics: Throwing some hit enhancements in here would push up your Blazing Bolt damage a tad.
    • Sting of the Manticore: Another situation where tthe 6-set doesn’t get you much. You’re nowhere near the Toxic/Psi hard-cap, so taking a trifle less damage from an uncommon source isn’t going to benefit you much.
    • Blaze: Winter sets are great if you’re building for positionals. But you aren’t, so why spend the influence?
    • Rain of Fire: Unless something has changed, procs in Rains aren’t all that great.
    • Fireball: Another unnecessary 6-slot.
    • Fire Shield: This just puzzles me. I can’t figure out why you’re 6-slotting this. You absolutely don’t need that much enhancement in categories like Recharge and the set bonuses aren’t all that impressive.

    • Sprint: Celerity is almost universal here
    • Health: I like to add Numina’s to the mix, but it’s probably not strictly necessary.
    • Stamina: Power Transfer also goes well here.

Overall, I think your recharge and your Ranged Def are both too low.

You get one +10% bonus from the 6-slot Dominator set. You’ve got two more from CP and Apocalypse. You can have 5 total, and usually the control sets are the best. You’re one short on LoTG and there are plenty of defensive pool powers that are possible choices.

Basilisk’s Gaze 4-slot is a cheap source of +7.5% recharge (and +1.25% Ranged Def). 6-slot Artillery gives 4%+ Ranged def. 2-slot BotZ gives +1.25% Ranged Def as well.

There are a number of design decisions - most notably the lack of Hasten - that tend to be peculiarities of my own. But a lot of what I'm doing with sets should help you hit the targets you're looking for.

Really enjoying this build - thanks for posting it.
I've got to admit, I was very skeptical - it skips a lot of conventional thinking, but in practice, it's awesome. It's far better than it looks on paper - also, very affordable!
If you want to see it in action, find me on Everlasting as Swampfire. Cheers - thanks again!

Ok, this is based on my Kintank build. You have permahasten, instasnipe, a lot of -res procs, softcapped to s/l/e, max s/l when rune is up, and can use rune as mez protection when hit by one. I think it works great. This could probably be optimized more as I just did this in 15 minutes or so. The only mandatory +5s are the lvl 50 tohit IOs in tactics, this is what gives tactics 16.1% tohit and in combination with kismet gives you the 22.1% tohit required for instasnipes.

Edit: Kinetics does not need a travel power. Siphon speed+Sprint+ninja run puts you at Max runspeed.

Thank you for sharing this! I am loving this build. It's almost an embarrassment of riches - I have too many valid, useful, powerful powers. I haven't even come close to dying once. With great res + def plus transfusion and transference, my green and blue bars are never low. Tons of offensive abilities, mobs of minions are nothing, LT.s are two-shot kills, and bosses are just fun to take down. I forget this isn't a blaster - it's a 'support' or 'healing' toon.
The build came in around $800k, but I was impatient and didn't build anything, so I solely used the market and paid high. I would think it could be done for about $500k or less if someone was building to this, and taking their time.

About to go try her on AVs now - Look for Miss Prism on Everlasting if you want to see her in action. Thanks again!

In all seriousness, do you have other builds posted? I like your style and would totally try out a few others.

Just looking at the build real quick, and a couple things jump out:

You only need 2x RechRdx in Hasten; boost one of them +5 and you're golden.

I would try and squeeze Leadership in there somewhere, so as to get ahold of Tactics; it helps you help your pets help you and helps you too.

As for the IO thing, this is just MY opinion, but I feel  *most* sets aren't worth the sixth slot.  It's not that the 6th bonuses are bad, but going 6 on one power robs you of a 4th or 5th slot on another power, which could bring enhanced values on THAT power to the ED cap or nab you a +Rech bonus or something important.

This is my current Ill/Dark/Fire build.  I prioritized +Rech over any other bonus, and that led to dipping into lower-capped sets in a few places.  The end result is 140% global +Rech before Hasten kicks that up to 210%, which gives me perma-Hasten, perma-PA, and perma-Fade.  All that extra +Rech is useless without addressing endurance, so I added a bit of Endurance Discount (6%) and +MaxEnd (9%).  And while the resulting Def/Res is lower than most people would want, honestly, between all the -ToHit, -Dam, Heals, +Regen, and aggro-sapping PA, I find that surviving is no problem.

@rolekiI tried this precise build and it's amazing! Thank you for posting this. It came in under 400m, as I built about half the recipes myself, and it operates better than some of my 'nearing-1B' builds. This is the best bang for the buck by far. And yes, I wade into +mobs fearing death, as I'm a controller and ergo squishy, but with just enough def/res, true perma PA, and amazing End reserves, I have not gotten into trouble yet. I'm about to take him for a spin up against AVs though, so we'll see.
But thanks again, this build makes 'Stage-Fright' (on Everlasting) very fun to play!
