  1. There are many kinds of sweet that can go with salty. Fruity sweet is nasty in combination with salty. Sugary sweet can go well with salty. This goes double when the focus of the taste is intended to be sweet. A strong sweet base can be complimented by a subtle salty (see sea salt caramel). A strong salty base can be complimented by a subtle sweet (see peanut butter stuffed pretzels). Pineapple, however, is a strong sweet. Combining it with anything means it will be the predominate flavor, and putting it up against other otherwise-predominate flavors means it clashes. Add in the fact it's a fruity sweet instead of a sugary sweet, and the end result is a mess. Contrast with tomato, which is a subtle sweet, and why it works with pizza.
  2. Depends on what you decide is Chicago style. Some people will just say deep dish, but others will say it's that double-decker shit. I like deep dish fine, but if it's double-decker, it's not a good look. I've never come across a place that can manage to actually cook it all the way through, and instead you're left with this doughy mess in the center. 🤢
  3. Fruit totally belongs on pizza. One particular fruit is a key ingredient (tomato). Sweet things, though... that shit don't belong anywhere near that. 😡
  4. Pineapples belong nowhere near pizza. Or anything savory for that matter. That's on par with people that put apples in their "artisan" deli sandwich in favor of onion for the crunch factor, despite the fact that the flavor is still very different. 😡
  5. Only "issue" I've noticed in that regard is Win10 seems to not trust HeroStats at all. Both on installation (SmartScreen check) and running (UAC check). I'm guessing that this means there is no signed certificate and Win10 is very paranoid about installing/running unsigned executables. I am likewise, but knowing what this is and having access to the source I feel pretty safe ignoring it. Just saying, that might be a point of contention to some others. @ineffablebob - someone I know was trying to operate this on a non-Homecoming server and found that it doesn't work. I'm guessing that right now it's hardcoded for Homecoming? Is there any plans to add the executable it searches through as a configurable value, or should he mod the source and recompile?
  6. Short answer: Have you ever used ACT for other MMOs? It's like that. Longer answer: It is a combat log tracker. It monitors your gains (xp, inf, etc.), sets up timers for buffs so you know when they're about to wear off, and for the longer term charts your combat prowess (dpa, dps, etc.) so you can find out where your bottlenecks are in action.
  7. The addition of power cooldown number overlays is definitely one of the best modifications done to the code to date, hands down. Frankly, while I would kill to have HeroStats back, the big reasons were less about power cooldowns themselves and more buff timers and xp/inf rate calcs. While I bet the xp/inf rate calcs could be integrated fairly easily into the game, I'm not sure how one would integrate applied buff timers to be remotely as clear as HeroStats could make it. When it comes down to it, a big ol' block that changes color over time and has the countdown to expiration on it beats out the small dots that are teammate buffs, and to rework that would likely take a lot more than the patch to add numbers to power cooldowns was. I sure hope someone can pick up the mantle and continue the modifications necessary, though. :)
