  1. So my MM is hovering above and behind her minions as she plows through some Knives. And just off the top of the screen I see some red. Pan out the camera so I can get a better look, and it's caltrop damage. I'm above melee range so not sure why I'm taking it. End up having to fly over 20' above the ground for the caltrops to not reach me. That seems a bit, excessive. Are they supposed to have that kind of reach?
  2. I've noticed that if I drop too many Nemesis lieutenant's at once their Vengeance effect floors my hit chance, which is to be expected. But only when I use single target attacks. When I use an AoE it's hit chance is still at 95%, completely unaffected by their Vengeance.
  3. I've noticed lately that there is a lot more spacing in powers description text, making lines of text disappear out the bottom of the text window. I'm not sure if this is a bug or should be reported elsewhere. Included is a screenshot of what I'm talking about.
  4. I feel bad asking since you've put out so many different builds, but I was hoping you could provide a KM/Shield brute for me. Haven't found one on the forums and my own attempts have been failing quite miserably. Thank-you in advance.
  5. While doing Doctor Arvin's arc in Nova Praetoria, on the mission Retrieve Subject Zero in South Aetna! you have the option to contact Provost Marchand if you originally chose loyalist. While talking to him if you select the option to inquire about Paolo it cancels the conversation and closes the window. Trying to talk to Marchand again only brings up available mission options.
  6. Wasn't very visible but my main was Netherwhere. Now I spend my time on Torchbearer.
  7. I was going through my old City files from live and came across this screenshot. It's from the Praetorian invasions that hit every server during the 7 year anniversary event, this was on Victory in PI. The text made me curious so I dug through the log file and read through it. Here is a truncated copy of the chat log, maybe 10-15 minutes of convo in broadcast chat. War Walker 2.0: I HAVE COME EQUIPPED WITH THE FOLLOWING SOFTWARE UPGRADE: PACIFICATION AND AMUSEMENT. 8. Unless there's something AT or powerset specific my general layout is: Regen Recovery End Consumption To Hit Last Hit Chance Damage Recharge Defense (whichever has highest importance, mostly to check for debuffs) Resistance (usually S or L, mostly to check for debuffs) Last slot I'll fill with whatever strikes me as important at the time.
  9. I can't find anything on the F@H forums about it, but it would appear that the Moonshot WU's have been adjusted. Last day or two they seem to be averaging the same time and point distribution as others. Ok maybe not all are fixed but they are getting much better.
  10. Folding while playing City my completion time has been cut almost in half, GPU is running at 100% but what City isn't using is being funneled to F@H. When not playing city GPU is only at 1% usage.
  11. I wonder if there's a way to decline any Moonshot WU's besides manually dropping one every time it appears.
  12. Update: It looks like there is a known problem with AMD GPU's and the Moonshot WU's, possibly/probably driver related. Current WU was estimated to take 2 full days to complete this morning, as of this afternoon it's now at almost 3 full days.
  13. I've noticed lately that my GPU work units are taking substantially longer to fold. At first I thought that maybe these Moonshot WU's were just much larger and that's why it's taking about a full day per WU, but I've also seen that the points awarded for each one are only about 1/5th what previous WU's have awarded. Not caring so much about the points, just use it as some sort of measure for my graphics card. Task Manager says my GPU is around 10% utilization when I have set folding to full power. Does this mean I have a problem with my graphics card, a setting with the program, or does it sound like it's folding as it should be?
  14. My favorite memory would have to be when my roommate crashed the game. He played a Kat/SR scrap, with every run speed power he could find. Six slotted them all with run speed enhancements (this was prior to ED) and headed for Independence Port. He really wanted to see how fast he could cross the zone. Sadly he didn't get very far as he moved so fast the entire server crashed. When next he logged on the devs had some, words with him. Not long after speed caps were implemented to the game.
  15. I really wasn't sure where to ask this, sorry if it's in the wrong place. I've slotted a few IO sets giving an endurance discount, yet my combat attributes list a smaller discount than the set bonus states. For example, 5 piece Annihilation gives a 3% discount, yet I'm only getting 2.9%. Unbreakable Guard lists 2.5%, only getting 2.43%. Reactive Defenses 3.75%, only getting 3.6%. Is there some sort of diminishing returns or sort of ED system at work? Even Mids is listing a full discount so I'm unsure what's happening.
  16. Sorry to bother but I have another Widow question. This time on Tactical Training: Assault. In game it provides resistance to Taunt/Placate but in the planner it gives protection with no resistance. Is this another situation where I need to manually adjust something?
  17. Yes, 2.8 GHz quad core intel 6402P cpu. But if I'm reading the client information correctly it's only utilizing one core to do a CPU WU. Even with it set to full power I haven't experienced any performance issues with my pc.
  18. Well, my CPU average daily points is around 30k. Even though it hasn't even been half a day my GPU daily points says over 400k. Quite a difference. Not that I'm doing this for the points, the cause is what's important. I'm just assuming that the awarded points is based on the how important that particular WU is for research purposes. And that GPU processed information is more helpful that CPU processed information.
  19. That's a lot of useful advice. The night widows seem to be more single target focused with less crowd control than the fortunatas. Not sure if that means I'll need Tough more than a fortunata or if it's extra surviveability that's going to waste. Still haven't reached 50 yet so this is somewhat based on theory for me. Kick I have only because I needed something to get Tough, and on the off chance that I actually use it didn't want a power that would force a weapon redraw. Didn't realize the knockback was so weak though, switching out the proc works. Tough I do want to keep, not many powers that allow me to slot for the resist set bonuses. Which is why I've got Indomitable Will slotted that way. Psi resist isn't needed but I like the end cost reduction and energy/negative bonus is nice. And Foresight being an auto power I figured was a good place to put those independent procs. For the Def in ED redzone, to effectively reduce end drain and lowering the wasted def bonus I would need to change a few enhancements to a different set which negates the set bonuses I was aiming for. Not sure how to get what I was aiming for without the inefficiency. Yeah, Health. I was really just shooting in the dark on those procs since I don't have any healing powers. I currently have the Miracle and Numina procs in Health since they give Recovery. My current Regen seems to be decent enough, especially when the scaling resist kicks in and slows the steady march towards death. I generally play solo though (not that I don't like people but between my roommates/pets/stopping to smell the roses I'm usually not playing at an other people friendly pace) so I'm not wanting to rely on teammates saving my bacon. I do keep a minimal supply of healing inspirations on hand just in case. Sorcery does seem like a much better pool than I was giving it credit for. Rune of Protection can hard cap my resistances to all but toxic once I get a bit of the scaling resist to kick in, great for the big nasty battles which is when I'll need it. I wish there was a chart, at least approximate, for how much resist you get based on current health. I have seen a formula floated around somewhere but I couldn't figure it out at all. With Spirit Ward does the absorb apply if the ally is already at full health or do they need to be damaged for it to have any effect? I put the stealth IO in Combat Jumping only because I don't like running with Sprint active during combat, due to it's End cost. Assault I only put in because I felt that my damage bonus was rather small and wanted something/anything to bring it up. But I see that it's probably not worth the end cost. Dropping Assault saves me .25 end/sec which is nice. But having Sprint active costs .26 end/sec. And really with Rune of Protection I really do want those slots so I can't afford to put the stealth IO back in CJ. Eh, I only wanted it since my base stealth of 40 is smaller than the base perception of 45 for minions. As for adding damage procs I feel attached to the set bonuses so much that I'm not sure I could sacrifice anything to give the attacks another one. Am I being too shortsighted with set bonuses? 20. Ah ha! Got it to open a GPU slot and it downloaded a separate WU for it. Though opening the Task Manager I see that the GPU is only at 1% usage while client says three and a half hours to finish it's WU. Have a Radeon RX 480, not the best out there but still pretty decent. This seem accurate or do I still have some tweaking to do?
  21. Question about the folding client. It took several days for it to start working for me, needed to edit the GPUs text file. Running it at full power I see in the task manager my CPU is at 100%, which I expected. However my GPU is never used. Is that normal or do I still have a setting wrong somewhere?
  22. Made some edits after I realized that I wasn't soft capped due to two powers not being set to display properly, since been adjusted. Removed the patron pool power as I was only using it for set bonuses, since I needed more slots for defensive powers it was no longer useful. Changed up the offensive sets, I think this makes them more efficient for how I'll be using them. Overall got defense finally to where I thought I had it before at the cost of more slots used. Resistances are slightly lower, though having 3 sources of scaling resist based on health should still shore that up. My endurance profile improved slightly. At level 39 now so I'm not sure if this will be adequate, overkill, or desperately lacking. Even though I don't feel the need for a travel power I took Mystic Flight just to have. Plus I ran out of slots before picking my last 2 powers so I needed something that wouldn't need extra slots. Placate was added, again had to choose something that didn't need any more slots. Not that I expect to use it at all but regaining stealth could be useful. On a side note, is Smoke Grenade really useful? With the stealth I don't think the -90% Perception will be helpful except for things like probes or snipers, not common enemies. The -tohit seems negligible enough to be worthless. When I look at other widow builds on these forums I don't see anyone else taking it which should give me my answer. Reorganized which level I took some powers for exemplar/ouroboros purposes. 23. Thank-you, I had no idea I could do that myself. Makes it much easier.
  24. Working on my Widow my reported defense is way higher than it actually is. I've heard that it's common knowledge that Mind Link is overstating how much defense it gives, but I see that Mask Presence is also doing the same (sort of), well at least when in combat. Out of combat the listed defense is correct but once the stealth drops you lose 2/3 of the stated defense. Wasn't sure if this is something fixable, or even important enough to look at. Now that I'm aware of this I am able to do the math manually, just a bit of a pain.
