  1. Title says it all. Put the player base to work. Of course the costume pieces would be reviewed, chosen and implemented by devs. I don't know how realistic a suggestion this is, as I'm not a programmer.
  2. Sounds similar to how you pick a face. It don't really changes shape, just slaps a different paint job on. Might actually not be too difficult to implement. I like the approach of having a tickbox of athletic, non athletic. Maybe even make one for body hair too!
  3. Generally I level up in AE until around 22, but I'm not a newbie. If anything I'd just zap all training and double origin enhancements out of existence. I also like the idea of a more interesting and better rewarding fast leveling (to around mid twenties?) mission series. I'm talking a tutorial that walks you through your first enhancement placement, rewarding 1 or 2 SO enhancements per mission. Maybe even give a choice of a complete set of set-enhancement at the culmination (yellow quality) or even a low level archetype set. I'd include the college tutorial on crafting enhancements and then could possible include recipes in the reward system.
  4. To differentiate this power from similar sets, I'd make the DoT it's main focus, maybe something like bleed counters that multiply the DoT. Might need to rework the powerset to accommodate it though. Alternatively you could include a few powers that use fine wire. It could tie up and DoT enemie(s) as it tightens and cuts. either way I'd definitely give the set an armor piercing bonus.
  5. Even if it wasn't implemented using npc's, or to happen by itself, It could be made as an occasional GM event. They could even use OBS studio or something to actually record something to playback on a screen in pocket D as a newscast. well... that might be a bit much, LOL.
  6. I'm old. Ancient by some standards. I command ants like some sort of merciless warlord with life in one hand, death in the other. Doesn't mean the little buggers listen though. That being said, I'm not quite as quick with a keyboard as many of my CoH compatriots. I become a mute during missions, with no time to give instruction or ask clarifications, especially once the battle starts. autoattack is awesome, because I can target what the tank is targeting and his taunt is usually better then my dps agro. Another drawback to being old is, I've played too many mmo's and can't remember specifics sometimes. However I do remember putting x's, o's, skulls and other symbols over the mobs. You still have to have a plan of attack, and for some who have difficulty communicating this was a great help.
  7. Wouldn't the easiest way to repair this is to turn Harris into a woman? Anyways, I just don't want time and energy being redirected from the content that would more directly result in the most people having more fun. Things like new powersets, better mechanics, maybe even the occasional new AT.
  8. If a different 'extra tall' model is made, perhaps they can be given permanent but nerfed sort of beast run. This may (haven't tried it) effectively allow them to get through most lower areas, then stand at full height when not moving. Just a possible way it won't destroy immersion to see peoples heads passing through solid objects.
  9. when you enter the pvp zone have a menu popup. Non pvp map or pvp map. That might satisfy everybody's preference.
  10. have the choice between mellee and and ranged assault dependent on the first powerset. I'm not sure if I understand how others are seeing how control would work... I assumed there'd just be a few settings ranging from passive to aggressive.
  11. SO far have made it to 29 on a scrapper, paired with willpower. I'm quite enjoying it, though I may enjoy it more with a different defensive powerset. The problem I'm having is not enough attack powers. that being said, I may not take the last one because it don't even seem like a mellee attack. Insight doesn't seem to do anything for me. maybe mix in a debuff effect or somehow make it noticibly useful.
  12. I like this but would like a variant where the pet/student is the support and the player is mellee. I'd make the pet/student as strong as a player, but only have about 1/2 the abilities. Also, I'd love if you could slot their abilities.
  13. Here's a thought. Would specially designed neutral TF's and trials help the situation. There's several menaces in the game that both factions team up against. Maybe it's something that can be expanded on starting from an earlier level.
  14. I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority here, but I actually thought it worked better when AT's and Powersets were restricted by hero/villain. I liked that there was something to differentiate them.
  15. I've been thinking, in regards to the trolly system, remove the tracks and refer to the stations as Mass teleport stations (or something similar). They behave that way anyways and the city would feasibly have access to that tech.
  16. I've been trying to think of ways to implement a personal arch-enemy and sidekick. I think a sidekick could be a summonable power that lasts like an mm pet. Don't know if that's possible. I have no idea how hard or even possible it would be to grant the capability to design your own. I don't know how the nemesis system works in champions, but I like the idea. As someone pointed out the AE system is a happy medium until something like that could be added. It's also a great way to tell our characters backstory.
  17. I went to both Hollows and Perez park and did some leveling. Perez Park is better with a group. That aside, leveling is still pretty quick outside of DFB. I'm sad so much story and content is not being enjoyed. However, I ended up going back to DFB because the SO enhancements. With only a limited amount of my powers and slots, most with no or crappy enhancements, I was getting my butt kicked out there, as a Tank! Perhaps better lower level rewards in other places could lure people out? Also, whenever we play maybe we could resist that urge to go back to DFB ourselves and start organizing our own groups. I've seen new people on the past few days asking what DFB is, and other people with altitis getting burnt out on it. As far as channel clutter, I've seen MMO's wikth level locked channels. Might clear things up a little bit at least once past 22.
  18. What a creative Idea! Sometimes I see powersets I'd like to see together but I'm not quite sure what role they'd fulfill. I'm not very knowledgeable at all on the mathematical side of things, though, so I don't go near it, LOL. I don't know if this AT would work or not. I think if the designers wanted to add a few AT's they'd more then likely make their own drawing heavily from player input. I'll eventually get around to making a few, if nothing else just for fun.
  19. I looked for it in the costume menu. I'll expand my search to include the graphics settings, although I don't think that's what I want. I don't want the effects viewable by other people as well so it don't get in the way of my character design.
  20. Understanding how difficult new animations would be to make, I was wondering how difficult it would be to re-purpose animations that already exist. Two examples that spring to mind... I'd love to see a whip or energy whip as a mellee and/or a ranged powerset. Moves could be taken from other powers, especially weapon powers, and have the whip added in. Another powerset I wouldn't mind seeing, is a pugilist powerset. I thought this the first time i took the martial arts power and most of the moves were kicks. There's lots of powers that employ different single and double hand attacks. This time you'd be removing the added powers and maybe give the strikes a unique sound effect. A whip powerset would be lower on damage, but would employ pain in some way. Maybe stun and other debuffs. It would be harder to move with chunks of skin torn off. Pugilism would be very much like martial arts, but generally less individual damage with quicker strikes. Just some thoughts, I have no idea how difficult these things would be to employ. Loving the game as-is! I've seen AT threads, but few if any powerset threads. It's fun talking/dreaming about new powersets!
  21. I'd like to also see some power or powersets with options to be invisible. With some of the defensive powersets especially, Everytime you activate another layer of protection another aura is applied. Before long you can hardly see the character it took you an hour to make up. While on the subject of costumes.... Some cosmetic claws would be cool, even if they were smaller then the ones that go with the claws powerset. Also, on my night widow character the special outfit is only usable for the first costume slot and barely any other costume bits not part of the set can be used. Maybe you could unlock the special widow outfit parts for another character slot or two so it can be mixed with other costume parts.
  22. I enjoy the free superbase aspects as i was never able to get a decent number of high level members. However I also miss that sense of accomplishment every time a milestone was passed. Perhaps a vendor from the NPC tab for placing in the base that sales unique things would satisfy both. Not pay to win things, maybe just special furnishings, enhancements sets... I don't know but with the creative pool we have access to, I'm sure there would be plenty of ideas to work with. Just a possibility.
  23. I understand there's a limited number of people working on an older code. I think I can safely say, we appreciate the work done by everyone involved in bringing Paragon back to us. There's all kinds of ideas people have that they'd like to see but what would be a realistic sort of suggestion? Moreover, are there ways we could actually help in addition to contributing? How possible is adding new Archetypes? Powersets? new zones?
