  1. How does one get an Ouro portal quickly on the Beta server please? /badgegrant doesn't work and I'm at a loss.
  2. Where do you slot Gaussian?
  3. I specifically avoided it on my Crab Spider. Great tho it is in principle, as already said, any group is already dead by the time it goes off. It might be useful solo, but in a team environment it's pointless. It's not even like Devices mines which can be prematurely detonated by enemy damage.
  4. Good spot, it was exactly that. It's pretty reliable so it's almost always up, for the difference it makes.
  5. Hi all, I finally finished my tanker build today and wanted to share it on here for anyone interested. I played this character back on live and she was the first I resurrected on Homecoming. This build is very polished, and the resulting character is a fun, indestructible tanker. Some points to note: Pros - Softcapped (~55%) positional defences. - No purple sets used - 57.5% permanent recharge bonus - No stamina issues and excellent health regen - Mace has many knockup attacks - Almost softcapped Smashing/Lethal resists. (Pines lists it as over 90%, but in game it's 85% and I can't tell why). 35% other resists, 20% psi - Very high accuracy Cons - Despite no purples, still isn't cheap. - Does use all ATOs, including 12 catalysts. Other notes: - Has 5x LotG global recharge IOs - Grant Cover is flexible. It can be swapped for something else if preferred. Examples include Stealth (or Super Speed), which combined with +Stealth IO in Sprint adds some flexibility to missions. - Sciroccos Dervish could be swapped for another set. Obliteration could be put in and a purple set in another PBAoE ability. - The slotting for Health, Stamina and Physical Perfection could be reduced if desired, tho it isn't strictly necessary. - Abilities were picked at specific levels (attacks in particular were chosen as soon as they became available). This way gives the best experience while exemplared down. - Incarnate abilities can be changed. For Alpha, I chose Vigor over Cardiac because while both have endurance red., the other two bonuses were more useful (accuracy in particular). Rebirth gives the character something desperately lacking, a self-heal. Paralytic Interface to reduce enemies' damage output for those few hits that may get thru. Hybrid, choose damage since it doesn't need any more survivability. Lore and Judgement is down to personal taste. - Might of the Tanker could be slotted in a different ability. It could be particularly well suited to an AoE ability as more enemies hit increases the chance to proc the +Res. I chose clobber since it's the hardest hitting and is on a good cooldown anyway. Interested in feedback but wanted to share this build with the community. This character is a thrill to play, highly resilient and a boon to any team. It's great to play her again after many years. ;D Click this DataLink to open the build! 6. Thank you all for the helpful replies. I'm sure I can find the P2W vendor. I will opt for the double XP server, I love the game and will definitely enjoy the journey but well remember the pain of levelling many alts. My fondest memories are of teaming up for TFs, paper missions and helping people with unlocking things as they level. I think the next step is to remember how to use binds again, for mouse keys, MM pets, etc. A lot to look forward to. To bring back to life some great characters but more importantly, join you all for grand adventures against some of the most colourful and kooky bad guys in gaming. Sincerest appreciation for the help.
  7. Being logged back into CoV after many years, dark years where I'd made grudging peace with ever seeing the Rogue Isles again, is very special. Some readjustment is necessary. I have lots of questions but I'm trying to limit them for now as I work some things out. Which of the four servers has the best population? Are any of them better suited for an EU (english speaking) player? I realise this is a different server and a fresh start, but wondered if there's anyway to get some of the perks a CoX vet would've been used to. After years of subbing, my characters enjoyed many tailor and respec tokens (costumes seem to be universally available?). Pocket D teleport and jump pack, all the alt-travel abilities (beast run, etc), all those bits that we had over time. It's hard to readjust to being so completely new after enjoying vet perks. In other words, is there any way to make the teething pains less painful? :-) Really excited to see the game alive again! PS. Any good resource to see what is new/different from the live game from way back when? Many thanks in advance for your replies, can't wait to rob betray meet you all in-game!!
