  1. Cant be worse that the team with 7 storm summoning I played with for two weeks. We managed just fine even though there were 7 steam mists going, 7-14 Lightning storms, 7 tornadoes, Snow Storms, etc.

     

    I have never seen Romulus go down so fast as the Storm team.

     

    Sunday we start a team with Storm blasts and/or storm summoning and I expect we will be just fine - even if someone goes bright pink (though that would be a fashion crime.)

  2. Only time I've seen it used (other than by me) was when we were doing a Storm Summoning team for two weeks and everyone had O2 Boost. Since we pretty much all had it someone was always available to fix sleep/stun which helped with Malta/Freaks a bit.

  3. I get going to pocket-d to change alignment (usually to Rogue) is easy enough.

     

    I can also see a downside that this would reduce red side population.

     

    Still, for my True Blue, I'm a Hero, type characters (ya i RP a bit here and there and was on Virtue back in the day) it would be nice. If we want to go full parity 4 all new Blue unlockable patron pools would be nice but that would take a lot more work.

     

    Even a Go Undercover and trick Ghost Widow, Mako, Black Scorpion, Scirocco into revealing her power that goes to the same missions arcs just accessible blue side would work for me.

     

    With Scirocco specifically a mission arc where you try to get him to renounce his evil ways and go good would be awesome. Similar to his red side missions.

  4. Got to 20 last night on the Ill/Dark.

     

    I've never used Ill Control before so a little bit of a learning curve as it has some fundamental differences from a stock Control set like Fire or Electric.

     

    Dark Assault is a pretty much standard Pew Pew Pew set with some nice toys.

     

    What the build seems to lack is Endurance even with Using Domination every time it is up to refill.

     

    Any good strategies for fixing the End issues specific to this combo?

    The other thing to keep in mind for the Scourging Blast set is that the recharge set bonus only requires 3 slots, so it's possible to split it up into 2 powers and double up the bonus.

    I was looking at that. Great minds and all that. 🙂 And the 1.8% additional end twice too. 

     

    I kinda figured it was a non-global effect. Still nice to confirm and for sure know.

    You should have seen our 7x Storm 1xRad ITF.

     

    The mobs, including the AV's just melted.

     

    In the past I have seen Storm treated as the proverbial "Red Headed Step Child' (Note: I like read hair just using the expression) - at least back on the originel servers I rarely ran into other Stormies. On Indom I have ran into more than a few and have had some nice fun. 

     

    With the expanded IO sets and some planning I think all the AT's/Sets can be very viable.  Stalkers still get some shade though (IMO) and a few sets like DP/Dual Blade. 

  7. While it gets the job done, and I have already for some time had a mission time crystal in my base, Oro has its limitations and frustrations. 

     

    Regardless of how simple the request is, it is to find a better, easier, cleaner, way. 

     

    I, of course, encourage and desire debate and the free exchange of ideas, on pretty much any topic. So long as we all remember to respect each other. (Not saying anyone has or hasnt just saying) And respect each others ideas even though we may disagree with them.

     

    I am curious on how other servers have done this and how viable/functional it is? I know To_Hit charts and other functions are based on level vs level - which would make this work in some ways, how power scaling of units beyond basics would work is a valid/interesting question. 

  8. We have only so much content in this game. Like butter/jam on toast we try to spread it and just tear the bread.

     

    XP multipliers just make it worse and it is tedious to track turning xp gain on and off though it is nice to have the option.

     

    It would be nice if all story arcs could scale up. Leave the minimums exactly where they are but allow them to go up to 51.

    -OR-

    Create an option that allows even a solo player to auto exemplar down to the missions' top level if they are higher.

     

    These options would add some QOL for those who like to find and run everything.

  9. I've been running with a group Gold Side and out leveled a mission. It was 16, I was 22. 

     

    I could not abandon the mission. I could not auto complete the mission. The on street mission giver wasnt there (it was a mission to find Ivy after all).

     

    In the end I had to run though the entire story arc, dont think I got Merits either. (Dont know if that one normally gives them).

     

    TLDR - Why cant we abandon all missions? I've seen this happen Blue Side too. Though not for a whole story arc.

     

    The best fixes, I would think, would be to add an option to scale the mission to character level -or- fix it so the abandon button works all the time.

    Tried making a macro, and yes was flying across Talos

     

    Hmmmmmmm - interesting on my 50 pb it does work using energy flight

     

    35 Ice/Storm with Mystic Flight works.

     

    Controller still doesnt. 

  11. Adding a small AOE to the buff, say 5' rad might be nice, only because it is a t9 power, and should be up there with Inferno, Dawn Strike, Thunder Storm, etc in it's impact to the game.

     

    I have a now 50 MM Mercs/Electric leveled up largely in a group (22+ was in a group of 6-8 Merc MM with an occasional person or 2 of another class when doing TF's - OMG the noise 8 Merc MM can make)

     

    No one ever complained when I put Amp Up on them instead of my Commando.

  12. Have you tried an uninstall/reinstall? COH is pretty small compared to modern games so it should go fast.

     

    Have you have any recent hardware changes or driver updates? For example for myself a recent Video Driver update started crashing the client until I turned off shadows.
