  1. /time is great perma gang wars is cool and stuff /elec is just on another level when built perma gang wars and double gang war every other also the only power set that can handle healing all those pets because of chains and end recovery.
  2. Capping defense on a cap resistant build is a perk Dark Tanks and few other can do. Attached is a melee cap def build 1 purp to full cap all Res cap excluding toxic Moderate proc good end + recharge Dark does not have DDR so ageless is a must for incarnates if you choose to cap def. This is a flexible build. Depending on damage, def, res alpha you choose you can make tweaks to the build. Tanker (Dark Armor - Electrical Melee).mbd
  3. Two SO will get you to -52.4% every 22 sec with 20 sec duration while only loosing 94 damage very good trade off. With the layerd nature of def running solo +4x8 DA is a breeze even with debuffer because you only need to -30 to hit them and thats what you ususally get around after +4 levels. Now when it comes to AV your right but I would never build a /rad sent for solo AV fights and like maybe one sent build I can think of doing it. Build for whatever but Sent nuke secondary is one of the best kept secrets with the massive full debuff and short cooldown nukes best to build around those combos

You can play around with it use it as a template.
  5. Dark/Rad -tohit is a great pair with blackstar dropping -55%tohit it becomes your def and you can build for res which /rad is. Plus multiple heals with life drain and Proton Therapy.
  6. 44% def soft cap proc out earsplitter and Def wave. You can take this as a template and add more procs. Rule of thumb 44% def is great 33% is livable with purps. Shoot for one or the other adding as many proc to your rotation. ill/Sonic for me was very fun leveling. Still fun and animations make it a fun play. IMO ill/Psi is the pinical of illusion because AV -reg sap but Sonic gives big numbers and is a lot more fun to play. So if your trying to go full control you have to know what content your building for. Some content people build for are solo AV builds that run long duration confuses. You might be able to pull off a hold build with a long duration, would be worth a fun test if echo and earsplitter proc. But in most content the long duration on hold over the damage in a big damage power is not worth the sacrafice in damage. Now for most content everything dies so fast magnitute of the holds matter more you need 4 to 6mags of hold consistantly this imo is more import than duration in normal content situations. In the end most content in this game is pretty chill and anyhing works just beaware with lack of damage , AV regen becomes your biggest weakness.
  7. I do one every year. Spine/ ice scrapper with spine crystal texture to simulate ice color light blue and white. ice/stone scrapper that has stone with crystal texture to simulate ice. This year I am thinking of Ice/thorn dominator with thorns colored with crystal texture for ice look.
  8. Sonic primary is not sub par if you want to be in melee the - res just makes your melee better. If you pare it with /ninja which was buffed a few patches ago which can critical a golden dragonfly for 1-2k damage and follow it is up with a 1-2k knockout blow critical. It’s pretty solid. You also have the option to go full def cap to all at 44% which very few can do. Still it’s best suited at 33% def and full damage. Pbaoe Nuke = massive - res = big number follow ups = fun.. Nothing is better than seeing critical even if it’s not double damage it still fun seeing the word pop up on your blaster.
  9. I ran a similar concept a while back based off the damge buff on a Fire/ DB Tank Spamming Bind Feint and Sweaping strike to take advantage of sweeping strike being buffed on tanks to 180* degrees. To this day its been the closes in time to a spine/fire brute in farms I have made. Using a full recharge build and similiar concept you should be able to smudge out a ST 8% damage increase just based off of base stats using Blind Feint-->Sweeping Strike-->Ablating Strike. This is just a theory and procs and slotting could push claws past that 8% increase. Still DB could not do the aoe damage claws can on a scrapper. DB should be pretty close to claws on ST.
  10. Icy Bastion is one of the best T9 powers in game and you can only get it with scrappers and stalkers. Both can also get hibernate in epic pool. One of my fav builds of all time and my main farmer was a spine/ice scrapper with the spines costume as crystal colored to look like ice that with the icicles made it gorgeous. Even though it was about a min behind a spine fire brute in farms it could run all content being very survivable and far more survivable than a spine/fire brute in normal content. I won’t digress further. Normally I would say it depend on build but Ice armor on scrappers get so much more than other AT . It gets one of the best T9 in game and it also get Icicles damage aura no other Ice armor AT gets both.
  11. I hadThug/poison on live and it was real fun but now I have a a Thug/EA with perma Ganga War double every 3rd. That being said it’s been one of the few MM I have really got into the theme. A homeless girl that was taken in by a Tsoo sorcerer and she grew up in the tsoo gang to later run away and start a small gang on rogue isle. She has elec powers because of the tattoos the Tsoo gave her. She also carries a club best part everything fits in the build.
  12. I wouldn’t sweat it. Fire non built is like Tanker hard mode. Best suggestion is eat oranges to get that res up and pop a lot of purple on those really rough fight. Tell the team if they want a quick pace to spare some love and Inspirations it is what it is. It’s not like Live anymore where people are patient for you to herd or use walls to pile them. I ve learned you go as far as the team let’s you and if they want more then they have to put in to help. You can only carry so much non built. Also if you start to get frustrated with the team sometimes it’s a good time to take a break better than blowing up. Someone already stated yellow for blind but I would also like to suggest gettin a bunch of inspirations putting them in the auction to store and pulling them when you need them. That way no matter what you face your always super. Best of luck bud
  13. What your looking for isn’t fire/fire. What your looking for is Water/Fire. Water on Sent has a higher target cap and with whirlpool and burn you have two ground aoe’s and a nuke that hits more targets than other sent. On top of that you can take elec aura in epic pool and get a trippy looking build. This is not a leveling build the combo is horrible until you get melee hybrid incarnate. Once you get hybrid it gives you the little bit of taunt aura or whatever to over come the fear enduced by burn and whirlpool. This combo needs to be power leveled to end for it to come together strongly recommend test server to see if you like it. So if you want a super cool looking Hallucinogenic rainbow of colors and aura build. That can farm different and be unique it’s this combo. In the damage department it’s a 7/10 but in the aoe department for sent its one of the top options. Just to be clear with sent cap at 6 for most builds most of the top damage sent builds are locked behind 6 targets. So don’t expect this to be meta because it is definitely not but can you farm yea is it practical not really. Is it one of the most over the top aura flashy builds in game definitely top 10 and you will probably never see another you and a lot of peeps will show you love. Last there’s a reason why Rad and spine melee mixed with fire armor is farm meta thats because it is just better than everything. You can get some builds within a min or 2 of meta times and there are other builds that can run farms at a slower pace. Sent are not handicapped in surviving a farm there handicapped by a smaller aoe capped at 6 targets compared to other AT. Because of that no Sent build will be efficient . You can do it ya but it will never be close to a brute or tank time. May not even be as close to other AT either not because of damage but target cap which mean sometimes you have to do double the damage to kill the same 12 targets a tank could kill in one go.
  14. Thug/Elec with perma gang war and double every third gang war. 493 isn’t really practical you can’t herd maps but in farms you can hold well over 100. With your hp shield from elec and a well time incarnate bubble after gang war cast you can keep most of them alive. The issues you run into are usually caused by yourself and bad commands. For example standing in a bad chain an so forth but if you play it good you can usually cut a cave farm time by 1/3 solo. It’s no brute in a fire farm where you can go watch tv. You actually have to click and place yourself to receive the chain but once the chain starts it perpetual and you feel like Juggernaut kinda. When the momentum starts it’s a unstoppable force or bad chains and bad calls it can all fall apart . Really fun and teams are sometimes so confused by all the pets. Leads to some funny reactions.
  15. This is true. What I was trying to say was target cap compared to other melee AT. Specifically homecomings changes to melee aoe and cone being double in size and increased cap. Thanks for catching it. Sometimes truth is just a box to be broken for another truth to take its place. Players can aggro 51 with incarnate pets. Practically 34 with the right pet. There is one build that can aggro 493 and practically hold half that. Surviving that is another story. These statements are for more solo or farm content holding aggro against another player is a different story holding mobs to your location to effectively get more xp is what I am trying to depict.
  16. As most people pointed out most if not all AT can be made into a play style of range or melee. Each having there own quarks. What is overlooked more than anything is aggro or lack there of and runners. If you do not have a punch-voke, Aggro Aura, debuff and or crowd control. That mob you can easily kill will run and run and that sick DPS build you made will be ineffective. Basic 411 on stopping runners soloist Stalker have ways to loose aggro not hold Most other melee will have aggro covered but not all. Meaning they will stay close. Tanker having the higher melee aoe radius and target cap that hold mobs like glue. Corruptors an Defenders will have groups slows or knockdowns more debuffs than CC. Mastermind will be similar but have pets to catch runners. Blaster normally have weaker debuffs but will have nukes up every other group. They can’t run if there dead before they blink kind of action. Dominators and Controller are overkill debuffs with lockdown control if it doesn’t get lockdown it will be slowed or debuffed as a side effect. Methodical deaths of mobs. Sentinel can hover tank and are very hard to kill but have one of the worst aggro management with the hit capped at 6. It has the hardest time holding aggro. It also has very bad controlling debuffs and might even be worse than stalkers in holding aggro. BUT WAIT there’s more Incarnate can change aggro management with melee hybrid giving any AT really good aggro management. So at the ends of the day you can play any and every AT similar or different because at the end of the day Incarnates blur the line and play styles. Does this mean you can turn a controller into a blaster no. But you can turn a water/fire sent ( really pretty) with no aggro burn and fear enducing whirlpools causing runners into a Brutish fire farmer with good aggro and nukes at the end of the day it all ties into each other with incarnates (melee hybrid aggro.) Is it the best no but can you do it yes. That’s what makes COH still fun to this day. Weird builds for SCIENCE. ps 45% Def allows any AT to fight in melee. How to achieve this is set bonuses. Expert level riddle; How do I prevent def debuffs on all AT? You can find the answer In Nates Car.
  17. Bio really thrives on recharge being able to quickly heal and reapply its regeneration it can survive really well. I would suggest focusing on recharge and damage till you can get the proper rotation then branch out to proc or defcap Also rad is ok but with massive debuff higher level it’s better to not be hit . Dark/rad is a good combo for that. -to hit is like extra def for you. Also you will find meltdown long animation is really long but it does have a really nice mini nuke
  18. It all depends on the secondary and content you want to run. With scrapper IO you can get 2 automatic crit with spines in that 3 sec window. It’s IMO better damage if they stay close. Ripper 3sec crit window starts throw spines + spine burst repeat Where you run into issues is not having a punchvoke taunt. Everything will try and scatter. The slows of spines will help a little but they still need more help. My rule of thumbs in if you can get 2 big hitters in the 3 sec crit window scrapper edges out if not brute for a little extra survival. If it’s between /rad or /bio I would suggest bio. Rad is to slow on animation. Great on paper but the animation hurt rotations. My fav scrap I ever played was a Spine/Ice the slow prevented escape , 2 damage aura and Icey bastion is arguably one of the best T9 Survivability powers in game. It could do farms at respectable pace and powered level most of my toons. Best of luck. If it was a Spine/bio scrapper vs brute I would suggest Scrapper also the damage bonus from bio would be greater on scrapper because it has a higher damage modifier 1.125 I believe vs .75 on brute. So damage modifier will have a greater effect on scrappers
  19. Sonic/Bio is good also because it can chain a permanent knockdown cone. It’s one of the better builds in the sent format. Play style it’s a range cone monster throughout leveling process. I would also suggest to try out a Sonic/Ninja blaster for a blapper (melee) play style. Sonic debuffs with golden dragonfly + knockout blow is almost a guarantee 3k combo haven’t seen numbers that high on other builds. Diffrent play styles Sonic/bio range, team debuff, survivability, Moderate damage aoe focused. Not expensive great leveling all ranges Sonic/Ninja blaster best ST burst damage in game IMO, mainly ST de buffs or can be built to 45% def to all. Bad at leveling. Endgame build Extremely expensive 500mil + I hope this illustrates how different the same power set can play.
  20. What limits the Sent the most is aoe cap 2nd is almost useless AT bonus 3rd is damage. Simple fix Remove aoe cap on Sent 2nd Make opportunity bonus a proc on all powers for examples have the 25% res debuff as a proc when opportunity bar fills Those 2 simple fixes would complete sent The problem at the end of the day isn’t really sent it’s damage is king at end game everything dies fast. When confronted with harder content with def cascade or res De buffs sent shine. The content endgame doesn’t give much benefit to Sent. Sent are bad at farm because of aoe cap. To the op question Sent are by far one of the best leveling toons in game because that is one of the few times sent extra survivability shines. Unfortunately bio is almost a must endgame to be competitive in damage. Proc build shine on Sent so do massive debuff based off of short nukes, again limited by aoe cap. Leveling sent are great role off tanking ,range , damage throughout the leveling process Endgame one of the best 6 cap limited debuffer can also be made to survive extreme situation which is rare endgame. Moderate damage or high if bio spec. End of the day if you like collecting badges and playing all the TF throughout the leveling range and doing content being leveled down. Sent will be good almost all leveling but putter out max level do to end game content being damage focused. Sent is the best pvp class which is again almost useless in the game. Ice/Regen
  21. End game in mind. Tank because dark armor can cap def and res with sets. Best Tank for most content in game. Cap 90% res and cap 45% def
  22. Patch 27 Ninja Shinobi was BUFFED Shinobi No longer grants a damage buff outside of stealth Now grants the caster a 20% chance to inflict lethal criticals with every attack The amount of damage will be based on the recharge time of the power Usually this will be 80% of the standard damage formula This bonus damage ignores enhancements and damage buffs It's a strong proc For the OP a proc heavy set like Ice would benefit more from Shinobi. Can it make up for Fire extra damage maybeeeeeeeee..... The amount of damage will be based on the recharge time of the power ( if it counts in animation time ice may be better if not then really most are pretty similar.) ( Also is it original recharge time or after buffs, anyone know?) Someone else pointed out Elec/ninja is a great sith theme. I went with that theme but went Sonic/Ninja. The - res helps shinobi and the blapper build really worked out. Also with ninja an certain set you can achieve 44% def to range, melee, and aoe but you sacrifice to much damage imo and 33% is the sweet spot ( 1 purple ratio). Old ninja build with 44% def may help you with a template
  23. There can be many argument both ways damage, target cap, survivability. But IMO what would sway me would be to build a scrapper out (test server) with AT set and see if I can get in a attack and AOE in the 3 sec crit window given by the enhancement. If a good rotation cant be made go Tank. If a good rotation can be made go scrapper. PS Factor in recharge some rotation can only be made with high recharge but then don't sacrifice damage the build seesaw
  24. What someone previously stated better to teach a man to fish than to feed the hungry man. When it comes to Sent most build fall under either proc monster or recharge/secondary effect. That being stated you can build your sent how ever you want. Below I will post a Elec/Bio recharge build. You can compare it to the two above where they went proc in different ways. One went Dom + mindprobe proc build. 3 Different ways, 3 Different reasons. I can say I went this way to capitalize on end drain of the nuke with recharge and also recharge allowed me to almost perma leech. On a other note most of my other Sent are proc builds. Except Dark primary which is also Recharge. https://www.midsreborn.com/builds/download.php?uc=1657&c=733&a=1466&f=HEX&dc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
  25. Shocked proc on Sent is one of the few proc you can utilize more efficiently than other AT. One method how people build sent around the secondary effect of the nuke being half the time of a blasters nuke but full secondary effect. Elec blast set really can utilize that mass end drain on the nuke at a regular pace . Second the Tesla cage shock mechanic is different on sent and works better than other AT . Elec/bio IMO is one of the top sent damage builds if not number one. The amount of shock with offensive proc on top of unlimited chaining is like a energizer bunny proc just role in. Comparable to a good Scrapper or a bad blaster and IMO elec blaster is not a good blaster primary (compared to other blaster sets) Elec/Energy sent safer solid tougher but damage isn’t close to bio. Elec/Elec Any res sent set has it rough compared to def it’s not that res is bad it’s sent can’t get enough but again a recharge build with a player who know how to control surge drop is still good to roll threw 99% of content Here are some numbers on Thunderous blast Sent max end drain -110% or max recharge at 20 sec sweat spot 21.2 sec recharge - 81% end drain.
