Welcome back.
If you want to do anything on Peregrine Island that isn't "ToT at the motel in numbers that lag out the entire zone," then maybe don't transfer here until after Halloween. 😁

I'm going to have to try the new Maintenance Drone as a 1SW, I think i've got room for it.
Overall I'm intrigued.

Ice Melee's Greater ice Sword is sitting in the corner, crying.
That whole set went from zero to hero years ago, except for that. It's time. Slight damage bump, shorten up the animation (maybe use the one from Icy Assault's Ice Slash).

The Hazard doors in to Creys Folly also has drones. And hospitals. And AE buildings. And team mates can help a lot too. Players can also open up the Auction House window by typing /ah in to the chat bar to buy inspirations ad nauseum. Players can email themselves inspirations as well. Players with fly or any players with temporary flight powers can move out of range until their health recovers.
Obviously, those are all things. But if the complaint is "EBs spawning on solo players can be a bit of a hassle," and the Devs' response is, "Just go somewhere else," which is what I got from their initial response), having these EBs pursue you to the ends of the earth kind of works against that.

When the new trainer greets you, she says, "It's up each and every..." She's missing the word "to" in there.

Sure, and that's what I did once I realized these guys were after me like I was the one worth a badge. But it would also be nice if these guys gave up after a while. Without exaggeration, I was in Brickstown, by the neighborhood marker for the Chasm, and he followed me all the way back to the train.

These elite bosses will only spawn if you are above level 25. If you do get one solo and don't want to fight it, you can simply run away and they will despawn automatically after 60 seconds.
Trick-or-Treat enemies have a 3-second safety window after they spawn before they can do anything, giving you ample time to escape if it's not a fight you want to take.
This addition was meant to make Trick-or-Treating in teams or leagues more engaging/lucrative/rewarding.I tried to follow this advice for the EBs I'm finding I can't solo (on my current character, Vampires and Mummies game on, the Ghost Wolves and the Reapers, run for it). I just had one of those Hollow Reapers chase me a heck of a long way across Brickstown to take me out.

Drop the Gaussian's proc in either Aim or Build Up. Plus/minus by adding a slot from somewhere else or if you think the difference in recharge is insignificant just replacing the recharge IO.
Hmm, yeah, should've done that already. Thanks for the catch!
ETA: so that Aim and Build Up keep the same recharge time as my CDO demands, Aim is carrying the Gaussian piece, and Build Up has the +Per piece from Rectified Reticle.

Hey there,
So I finally got around to trying Energy^2. Having a blast with her, she's up to 38 now. Looking at her build, which I just kind of threw together, it ended up kind of at in-betweens, quite overcapped for regular content but not quite enough to be Incarnate-capped. If you see any tweaks that might up her potential, I'm all ears.

My forum namesake is my Elec/Elec
Blaster from live era, who I totally dig, but is probably not my most-played.
That would probably be Ann Ionic, a Rogue who was my first try at making a Sentinel. For some reason she just clicked for me. She's basically "female member of the Outcasts."
QuoteSo you thought what, there were no mutant women in the Outcasts?
A woman can't develop lightning powers?
Can't be p*$%ed at how the cops handled the Trolls in Eastgate?
Can't throw a lightning bolt at a cop car? Get booked for assault? Put in the Zig?
Can't take part in an Arachnos breakout?
If you really think that, you're in for a big shock. Tell my sister I love her, and tell everyone else to stay the hell out of my way.- 1

I tend to auto-deny it, just because it seems like there are people who go out of their way to cast it on me while I'm in the middle of a fight. I just feel like, you could've picked a better time.
(As far as keybinds, I use ctrl+y and ctrl+n for dialog_yes and dialog_no, lets me still use plain old "Y" and "N" for other stuff.)

In addition to the corroborating quote above from @Zhym there's the idea that the contact was put into Issue 24 Beta, then shortly thereafter the game was tied to a tree and shot. If it had been kept going, I can't help but think they'd have gotten that all straightened out.
-
It was stated that these EBs, if they're not engaged, will despawn after 60s. So if you're not up to taking one on, scoot up the street for a moment or two, possibly while using bind that yells, "Ahh, mummy house!"
"THAT'S the house!?!?!?" -

Couldn't agree more. Only way this could ever get better is if actual chocolate bars came out of my PC while trick or treating.

Hey there,
So I fooled around with that some yesterday. I'll double-check what I came up with vs what you've got there, but I couldn't get mine to reliably fire off the power. Honestly though, even if I don't, I was getting enough value from the popmenu-driven petselect that this still puts me ahead of where I was with this.
Thanks very much for your help working on this. have a good day.

OK, so looking at the Press-release bind link you gave, what might be the issue is that there needs to be a concatenate string ($$) between the + and the other commands? The servers just went down for maintenance but I'll check into this when they're back up.
Much appreciated!
-
Hey, first off, thanks for replying. 👍
I think the plus sign, like you said, was to make the two actions work at the press and release of the bound key. I'd have to check that tonight.
I'll also check the execution order tonight, like you suggested.
Thanks a ton!

Hey folks,
So I'm trying to put together a keybind on my Robots/Elec MM. What I'd like to do is, without resorting to bind_load files, have a single key (the G key) select one of my Robot pets, and fire off Rejuvenating Circuit.
(Caveat: right now I'm going from memory, as I'm not at my game PC. I can supply more detail tonight.)
The basic functionality kind of works; I strung together "pet_select 0$$powexec_name Rejuvenating Circuit", but that then requires two keypresses, once to select and again to fire off the heal.
To make it work with a single keypress, I think I put a + in front of the pet_select command (as I said, I'll verify this part tonight). My slash command syntax knowledge is a little rusty so I forget what the "+" is actually doing, but that got me both on one keypress.
The only catch I was finding with that version was, it wasn't working when I had a foe selected. So I had to add an unselect command at the front of the string. I believe the current string looks like: "+unselect$$pet_select 0$$powexec_name Rejuvenating Circuit" (again, I swear I'll confirm tonight). Now, that actually does everything I want it to do, but the game balks at my syntax. It says the unselect wants no arguments, and got 1.
If I have to live with it like this, with the sloppy syntax, so be it, but if there's something to be done to make this cleaner, I'd really appreciate your help.
(My plan for end-state is, instead of having this be directly on a keybind, to have the bind open a popmenu, which then lets me vary which pet I select. Right now I'm only doing pet_select 0 until I nail down the proof of concept. When I've got it working the way I want, I'll put together the whole popmenu.)
Thanks for your time, folks!

For RP purposes, have you considered /rad? A lot of the same tricks as poison but a lot more utility.
Hell, not only did I consider it, the first version of this guy I made in HC was Robots/Rad. (This is a reroll of one of my old guys from Pinnacle.) But I just wasn't feeling it with the Rad.
The one thing I want to try this with that I haven't done yet is Robots/Electric. If I dig on him best, he'll be the "final" version of this guy.
Thanks for replying, have a great day.

Ooooh, if we got the self-toggle that could force some hard choices for me. 🙂
Anyhoo, thanks for the reply.

Hey,
So on a R/P Mastermind, is Noxious Gas even worth it? It has to be cast on one of the bots, and none of them really do a lot of melee. I'm sure it's more usable if you're really good at manually positioning individual minions, but well, that's not really me. 😁

The Issue 27, Page 5 Quality of Life change -> Level Availability

The allegedly "dead" levels gave me an opportunity to pick up travel powers, or other pools I wanted, or some of the other powers that were already available to me. But I guess ALL MUST HAPPEN NOW.
