  1. @Spaghetti Betty I have to say the build is working out pretty well. Ran some +2 Posi and Yin runs and the mix of survivability , damage and crowd control even at sub 20 is sweet! Thanks for the help, you have given one of my OG toons a new lease of life! Cheers Mr W
  2. Lord Midnight 2 - Tanker (Radiation Armor - Katana).mbdLord Midnight 2 - Tanker (Radiation Armor - Katana).mbd Updated Lords Midnight remade - Tanker (Radiation Armor - Katana).mbd Version 1 (hope this works) hanks @Spaghetti Betty 🙂 . I keep having issues with the updated Mids (I thought it was sorted) but trying to update it again to no avail. Looks like another full reinstall, as I cannot seem to open builds from the forum either. That being said I went back and recreated your recommended build (by hand) and it looks very tasty. Similar res and def numbers with a heck of a lot more damage! I will give it a go this evening and report back. Thanks again for the help. Cheers Mr W
  3. Happy Sunday Heroes, Over the last few months I have been tweaking my older toons to try and push their builds a little and rework them following recent updates. My latest is my Rad/Kat tank Lord Midnight. He is more of a traditional team tank (so has taunt) that I use for expeming down and helping sub 50 teams. I will on occations jump on a ITF etc and try my hand at the harder content, which is always a giggle too. I have however never been fully happy with him and always feel that give how highly everyone rates Radiation that maybe my build is missing something. With that said I would welcome any ideas or thought on how I can get a little more out of this build. Currently his damage is passable and his Res is high with decent melee def, but any tweaks or ideas would be greatly apricated. Cheers Mr Wallace View This Build In MRB
  4. When Homecoming brought COH back into my life the first thing I did was reroll my tank from live a Dark/DB tank . I still had the build which for the time was pretty good, a child of the Why Dark Sucks post . He could tank Lord Recluse and solo ok even if the damage was a bit low. However, over time he has started to gather dust as I jumped from one flavour of the month to the next. Well over the last few months I have been revisiting my old toon and falling back in love with them... But I need you help build wizards. How can I get more out of Dark DB... Can this build be truly min/maxed? With the new tools and build options I wonder if the below can be improved on, to help me solo and be a solid team tank, maybe even try some of the hard mode stuff. Any advice would be fab. This is what I have at the moment. 5. HI just wondering when the next Reunion run is? As an EU player, I would love to bring one of my tanks along to join the carnage. Cheers Mr Wallace
  6. I have done a bit more tinkering on my Invulnerable/Rad build and I now think I have something that I am happy with. Using the @Infinitum template again and with the new update in mind I moved 3 slots that were mules for Imperium Amour -Psi protections to better slot Irradiated Ground for a bit more damage and end reduction and also managed to get Radioactive Smash into the build to help for all those Posi and Synapse runs. The only drop from the template is that Psi Resistance is down to 51% which I suspect the changes in the new patch will bring back to around 70% :). I am happy enough with the build that I am going to get to work leveling Invictus up. Any tweaks, comments or improvements would as always be most welcome. Cheers Tanker (Invulnerability - Rad) Invicuts 5 Prime.mxd
  7. First off, thanks @Infinitum for sharing all this wonderful builds and the tips on how to play them, this combined with the 801 and ITF threads and brought back my love for Tanks. My son and I now have way too many tanks, which can only be a good thing right! With the new update coming I thought I should try and prep a new invulnerable tank to run the new hard mode content. Invulnerable/Rad seems to be a good fit (it was a toss up between rad or dark for the heal). So using the wonderful templates provide by this thread I have come up with the below build. It does however seem to be a bit low on ST damage, and I was looking t see if I could squeeze Gloom into the build but I can not see how with out dropping Psi and Toxic resistance and reducing overall survivability. Any tweaks or advice from the Invulnerable masters would be amazing. Also I really need to jump on the EU Tanker Tuesdays those look to be an absolute blast! Cheers Mr W Invicuts 2 - Tanker (Invulnerability - Rad (2).mxd
  8. 100 percent agree herding the mobs up makes a huge difference. Master Blasters are a royal pain with their fire patch's so taking them out quickly while on Destroyer arcs has become a priory They are my low level golden Sappers... evil little bugger!
  9. So in the end (and don't hate me) ... I have rolled a brute version of my main tank going for Nrg/Invun. The concept of have a Golden Version of one of mains was too tempting from an personal lore perspective. And thus we have the Righteous . The concept also lead me to deciding to dual box my golden experience and create a tiny Daemon/ Bubble MM side kick, know as the The Wicked. Thus The Righteous and the Wicked was born, which seemed like too good a concept for 10 year old in me to pass up. Having Wicked and pets on follow solved the damage issue and the bubbles plugged the damage holes. Most of the time I am clearing mission maps for badges and drops and turning XP off to avoid out leveling contacts. I just got done with all contacts in Nova Praetoria and finished up at lv 10. The lore is fantastic and it is a very enjoyable run. As work is crazy right now this is nice side project to focus on when I have an hour or so spare in the evening. Mission wise I am loving Gold side, the story the arcs, while hard are greatly rewarding, I cannot believe I never did this back during live! Thanks to everyone for the tips, tricks, support and debate, it reminded me again why I love this game and why I am so happy COH and this Community is back in action! I will report back on how my journey goes and if any of you are golden side and need a team keep an eye out for The Righteous and the Wicked 🙂 we always have 6 spots open! Cheers Mr W.
  10. Just a quick note to say thank you @Fermmoylle. Your guild inspired me to try my hand at completing all Gold Side has to offer... now the hard part , deciding what toon and build to use 😛 Cheers Mr W
  11. I am currently toying with the idea of just rolling a brute version of The Devine my Invun/nrg tank ( another superman inspired tank using @Infinitum blueprints) especially as I see the build list has a brute version pre made! A helmeted Pretorian version called The Righteous is very tempting! Nevertheless, I really take the point from @Sovera that the low level mish grind might were thin and a fire is always fun once burn drops... hrm I might have to think more on this. It would be great to hear others view point especially if they are planning their own trip down the yellow brick lane. Also @SeraphimKensai you are so much braver than me but maybe I need to embrace the chaos and use a random build selector...:) Cheers all Mr W
  12. Having just finished my six-month mission to solo all Red Side content (WM/BIO scrapper), I thought it was time to look for my next project. As I have never run a purely Praetorian toon, I thought I should try following @Apparition Complete Guide to Praetoria. I also fancy a new tank, so I thought, why not mix these two needs :). I am, however, at a loss on what to roll. I will be playing at +1x4 for a giggle and badges, so I need something survivable that can also hit hard. My first thoughts were a Fire/Psi(or Claws) or an Electric/Psi(or Claws), but I am not sure. I know the damage can be exotic at lower levs, but I have no clue what the baddies are resistant to. Has anyone tried this challenge or general tips for tank builds that work well with Golden content? Any tips, tricks or advice are as always very welcome. Cheers Mr W
  13. I am an EU player and I find that Excelsior is much more active than Reunion despite the time difference. As a former Union resident it s a bit of a shame but I find teams and forming teams much easier on the Excelsior.
  14. First off a huge thank you to you all! This is why I love COH and I am so happy that it came back so I can share not only the game but the great community with my boys! All of the builds look amazing. So I have spent the day building them all on the test server so the little man can take them all for a test drive and decide what he likes the best. I will let you know what he picks. Again thank you @SeraphimKensai , @Hyperstrike @Nemu and @Bill Z Bubba , you have all help make my boys weekend... Now its time to run the Tina arc as a family 🙂
