  1. This is a really difficulty questions like picking between you favourite kids! I have four main tanks, my Rad/Kat who is insainly tough with decent damage. Then their is. my Fire/EM crunch master who is just a brute/scrapper in disguise, with burn at lower levels he is just a wild ride. My old live main who I recreated is a Dark/DB and while note OP he is tough as nails and I love him for the nostalgia of everything we did back in the day, he was my fist tank to solo tank Lord Recluse, back when that was hard. Abd finally there is my new SD/MA tank who I am slowly levelling up via the " Good Mission guide", hitting DEF soft cap at lv 26 seems a little OP :). Basically tanks are amazing, my wife runs a SR/ICE tank my son a Bio/Rad tank we are crushing AVs and TF with just the three of us every weekend. It is a blast. TANK 4 LIFE🙂. One day I will roller a troller or def again but that day is not today!
  2. Ok this is looking great...then I showed her Mystic Flight (thanks Mek lol) which she loved. So minor tweak. Mystic flight added and CJ in place of hover. 🙂 And one very happy wife... now to raid my alts for all the IOs lol!
  3. Thanks Sovera, your post was a huge help, also showed how little I knew about both power sets. Ice storm is a deal breaker so I have tweaked your build to include it, while not 100% as effective, its what she wants. I have now proc'ed it so it does decent damage at least. We will have to live with Rebirth from my tank to keep us both alive lol. The updated build now looks like this.   6. One extra question I also had was around "Freezing Touch"? I have note included it the current build, but as the Ice Melee's hard hitting single target attack I am not sure if I should work it in? What do people think is it a must have power? Cheers Mr W
  7. My better half who I duo with has set me a bit of a challenge. She would like a min/maxed thematic tank for the winter. The aims to be able to solo and duo flashbacks have great survivability and damage (54x8 mish for us). For her Ice Fairy theme, she has asked that the toon has SR, Ice Melee, can fly and has the Arctic Mastery to allow for Ice blast and more importantly Ice Storm. The build I have come up with has everything she has asked for (I think), some resistance S/L/F/C, OP Defence (thank you SR) the requested powers and a fly. But as I have never used SR or Ice Melee, I thought I would check in with the boards and see if the build is viable.   8. Cheers really appreciate the advice. I did not take divine avalanche as it takes me over the soft cap for melee and lethal so feels like overkill, espically as the damage is less than stealer. I do love your suggestion of using the force of will set as that is something I did not think about. It looks to be a good fit with Rad and something I will try and weave in along with build up. I am now wondering if I can make unleash potential perma? Massive help. Thank again.

  10. Hi all, working on my current project of a Rad/Kat tank. Which so far has been a blast to duo with my better half's Kat/WP scrapper. I am enjoying the build so much I am going to drop some cash into him to min/max the build. Current aim is to capped resistance, decent regen and recharge with a a layer of def (softcap with one insp) while still being able to put out some damage.   11. Thanks that is really helpful and has given me a lot to think about. I like the way the build has massive HP and Regen and Def is being used to cover the resistance gaps. One questions, I notice you did not take Divine Avalanche? Do you think the defense buff to Lethal and Melee is not worth it at higher levels? Thanks again for your help. Cheers
  12. Hi all, Myself and the Mrs are trying our hand at duoing most of the content of COH. We have agreed that we want to have the same power sets, her playing a Brute while I play a tank. I think we are going for Katana and Will Power for both, as it suits our toons natural origins. Having never played either set I have had a go at developing a set of builds, first of being her Brute (I figure I can just use the same or similar build on the tank). I have tried to max out regeneration, will also softcapping S/L Res and L/M defense (with one hit of DA). So I have a couple of questions, is this the right approach for for Will Power? I normally play Resistance heavy sets and just layer over the top with Defense, but Will seems different. And secondly does the below build seem reasonable for both high end and flashback content played on +2x4 for a Brute/Tank duo?
