  1. Thanksa ton for this one!
  2. That's what put it on my radar in the first place! I was looking at badges, and the void hunter wasn't at zero anymore... I asked in game and was told there were some in Dr. Aeon and some tip mission somewhere....
  3. BADGE HOE looking for void hunter, and I heard this existed but isn't in the Tip Computer... Does anybody know the name of this Tip MIssion? As a level 50 would I get it? Someone in game said level 40, but when I look at my Tip Computer (on a 50) I see level 40 stuff. I'm enough of a grindy person to just do a bunch and see if I can find it myself, but there are so many possibilities it might take approximately forever. But... should I be doing that on one of my level 40-something alts?
  4. In-mission mechanics are okay as-is (IMHO). Let's talk about the outer story instead. The story progression is linear only. Player gets the next mission regardless of success or failure. There is no decision for the player, the only choice is to continue or quit. There is no ability to ask questions (beyond the pretty worthless "about this contact" choice). These could all be fixed by allowing content creators to create dialogues with zero* or more choices. Each dialogue would be either initial (players start here, so these show up in the story menu and search results) or continuation (players are taken here from clicking a choice on another dialogue, or success or failure of a mission). Those "ask a question" choices simply go to another dialogue with its own text (presumably the answer), and then its own responses (probably the same as the last one, but possibly not). A choice could also trigger a mission (as currently implemented), with mission success proceeding to a specific dialogue, and failure to a specific dialogue (possibly the same as success). So combine the existing mission mechanism with 2 data elements: dialogues and choices. Each dialogue has text, picture, and zero* or more choices. Each choice proceeds to another dialogue, or to an AE mission. When AE missions are triggered this way their success or failure proceeds to a continuation dialogue. * when there are zero choices, players get the "(leave)" choice to exit. This could be done as a new system in the game that triggers existing AE missions at the right spots. It could also be done as an external web site that asks players to go run specific AE stories at the right spots. Let me know whether an external web site violates any TOS. If not, I might put one together, since I do this stuff professionally, and the above structure would be trivial to implement as a database-backed web site.
  5. Please enable the BODY tab in Icon Employee NPCs in bases, or provide another NPC type that allows this.
  6. No feedback yet from the community? I'm curious whether this is viable for a re-roll I want to do.
  7. I use SG for a personal "me and all my alts" base, for practical purposes (storage, travel, pillar, merit machine, tailor, trainer, rez station). My biggest MINUS to an actual SG is that sometimes I'm in the mood to farm on auto-pilot, sometimes to tinker with pursuit of badges, and only rarely to team and do TF/SF and such. I don't want to be pressured into "participating" when I'm not in the mood. My biggest PLUS is that there are some really annoying players out there. Luckily they only come up 10% of the time it seems. But it would be nice to somehow avoid them. But I do remember on live having a few jerks actually in the SG, and having to ask the leader to kick them out -- drama -- who needs it all? So I guess I'll stick with PUGing, and politely excuse myself when I detect a horrible group or something smelly with any players involved. Given that it's pretty infrequent I see no reason to look for a solution (like an actual SG or a friends network). Also, I've gotten to know a few folks by their main or mostly-played toons, and maybe that's enough to just know good players / helpful people / knowledgeable people loosely.
  8. Unless I need hover for LotG slot, I usually take Mystic Flight and set it to minimal effect. That way I can fly when not in a hurry and Teleport when I am. It's like teleport without the tele-plummet!
  9. I really dislike how dwarvishly distorted Costume: Mini Mode looks. I'd like to suggest a Tiny Mode, with same proportions as normal size, just shrunk across the board to 1/3 or 1/4 size. My TinkerBell character looks right at normal size, but looks utterly stupid in mini mode. If she was just 1/3 or 1/4 the size and looked the same it would be PERFECT! From a code perspective it wouldn't require much work I suspect. I also wouldn't mind of the combat / collision box was normal size -- I'm doing this for the character concept, not to try to get some kind of combat advantage. Thanks for considering!
  10. For Mu Guardians, I found a good way to solo if you are sturdy. Take the Scirocco Chapter 2 arc from flashbacks, and run through until you get to the 6th mission. It starts with Speak to Daos, then when you speak to him the objective changes to "Defeat Ice Mistral". Do that one, and it switches to "Stop Rituals to Draw Out Scirocco". Set your team size to 8 before you enter the portal. Ignore the mission objectives and look for those groups scattered all over the map as "extras / props". Most of those groups will have a boss. You can swoop in, kill the boss, and flee around the outside of the map to de-aggro any pursuers, then venture into another part of the map to get another Boss before fleeing around the map again. I was getting 14 per map. You can also find 1 next to each ritual. After you get your fill, just log off to the character select screen and re-enter. Rinse and Repeat. Happy Hunting.
  11. Auction House listing for attuned Overwhelming Force shows many rows for each IO, as if it was still showing each level (which of course is not relevant to attuned, and the level is of course not showing). It ends up looking like 20-ish rows per item.
  12. It shows up with solid green skin!
  13. you can install Ubuntu if you are willing to nuke the chrome O/S. I have run it on that using WINE. That's a bit drastic but I think it's possible.
  14. For Eye of the Storm badge, use base computer as vigilante, security level 40, buy the tip "An Unstable Trigger" , choose Hero option, defeat Maelstrom as a Boss (solo), badge will be awarded. I just did it exactly this way. Happy Hunting!
  15. it would be nice to have some kind of option somewhere on each character whether to miniaturize the head when in mini-me mode. TinkerBell looks pretty stupid with an enormous head, but she'd be just about perfect with a proportional one. Or maybe offer two costume options, one with large head and one with proportional head. If I had known it would be this goofy-looking I probably wouldn't have spent the 250 Aether on this.
