  1. No feedback yet from the community? I'm curious whether this is viable for a re-roll I want to do.
  2. I use SG for a personal "me and all my alts" base, for practical purposes (storage, travel, pillar, merit machine, tailor, trainer, rez station). My biggest MINUS to an actual SG is that sometimes I'm in the mood to farm on auto-pilot, sometimes to tinker with pursuit of badges, and only rarely to team and do TF/SF and such. I don't want to be pressured into "participating" when I'm not in the mood. My biggest PLUS is that there are some really annoying players out there. Luckily they only come up 10% of the time it seems. But it would be nice to somehow avoid them. But I do remember on live having a few jerks actually in the SG, and having to ask the leader to kick them out -- drama -- who needs it all? So I guess I'll stick with PUGing, and politely excuse myself when I detect a horrible group or something smelly with any players involved. Given that it's pretty infrequent I see no reason to look for a solution (like an actual SG or a friends network). Also, I've gotten to know a few folks by their main or mostly-played toons, and maybe that's enough to just know good players / helpful people / knowledgeable people loosely.
  3. Unless I need hover for LotG slot, I usually take Mystic Flight and set it to minimal effect. That way I can fly when not in a hurry and Teleport when I am. It's like teleport without the tele-plummet!
  4. I really dislike how dwarvishly distorted Costume: Mini Mode looks. I'd like to suggest a Tiny Mode, with same proportions as normal size, just shrunk across the board to 1/3 or 1/4 size. My TinkerBell character looks right at normal size, but looks utterly stupid in mini mode. If she was just 1/3 or 1/4 the size and looked the same it would be PERFECT! From a code perspective it wouldn't require much work I suspect. I also wouldn't mind of the combat / collision box was normal size -- I'm doing this for the character concept, not to try to get some kind of combat advantage. Thanks for considering!
  5. For Mu Guardians, I found a good way to solo if you are sturdy. Take the Scirocco Chapter 2 arc from flashbacks, and run through until you get to the 6th mission. It starts with Speak to Daos, then when you speak to him the objective changes to "Defeat Ice Mistral". Do that one, and it switches to "Stop Rituals to Draw Out Scirocco". Set your team size to 8 before you enter the portal. Ignore the mission objectives and look for those groups scattered all over the map as "extras / props". Most of those groups will have a boss. You can swoop in, kill the boss, and flee around the outside of the map to de-aggro any pursuers, then venture into another part of the map to get another Boss before fleeing around the map again. I was getting 14 per map. You can also find 1 next to each ritual. After you get your fill, just log off to the character select screen and re-enter. Rinse and Repeat. Happy Hunting.
  6. Auction House listing for attuned Overwhelming Force shows many rows for each IO, as if it was still showing each level (which of course is not relevant to attuned, and the level is of course not showing). It ends up looking like 20-ish rows per item.
  7. It shows up with solid green skin!
  8. you can install Ubuntu if you are willing to nuke the chrome O/S. I have run it on that using WINE. That's a bit drastic but I think it's possible.
  9. For Eye of the Storm badge, use base computer as vigilante, security level 40, buy the tip "An Unstable Trigger" , choose Hero option, defeat Maelstrom as a Boss (solo), badge will be awarded. I just did it exactly this way. Happy Hunting!
  10. it would be nice to have some kind of option somewhere on each character whether to miniaturize the head when in mini-me mode. TinkerBell looks pretty stupid with an enormous head, but she'd be just about perfect with a proportional one. Or maybe offer two costume options, one with large head and one with proportional head. If I had known it would be this goofy-looking I probably wouldn't have spent the 250 Aether on this.
  11. I've tried the tailor, and all the menu / options tabs -- cannot find where this is done. Thanks in advance!
  12. As for Malta, I found that re-running any mission from Indigo or Crimson works fine. I'm currently farming for sappers in Indigo's last mission from Ouro. I get about about 5 per run, which takes about 5 minutes per reset and run. I just quit back to the character select and log back in (soloing them). at x3 you find more sappers, but at x8 you get almost no sappers but lots of Hercules Class Titans. Adjust difficulty based on what you need more of. Regarding the Zeus Class Titans: Try not to kill those if there are 2 Hercules Class Titans in a group as they combine into a Zeus Class titan when they panic. THOSE are what the badge is for. I believe the boss level that spawn on the map do not count. The badge description says "combined".
  13. This could be done so you can go back and do out-leveled contacts, or if you wish to do some level-specific content NOT available in Flashbacks (like bank protection missions)
  14. For Toxic Tarantulas, fly around outside the center of Grandville and approach doors that look like this one
  15. Where is this ledge??
  16. OBDURATE - it's short, sweet, and cryptic. it will send folks heading for their dictionary
  17. How about those of us who have BADGE HUNTER characters who want "Tipped Off", but already have ALL of the exploration badges in ALL of the zones?
  18. some other suggestions here when going through this process: - Put an aspect of the flame in your base, and when you are defeated you can go to your base. clicking on the pillar allows you to return to the contact. clicking on the portal / entrance takes you back to the mission door. This also means you can use ye olde death taxi to get to your base. There are debt badges anyway, so why not? - Load up on inspirations for those "enhancements have no effect" runs. Put an enhancement dispenser in your base! Or if you do anything on any character where you never use inspirations, then put an inspiration collector in your base, and dump the high-end inspirations in there. Use the P2W vendor to refuse small inspirtations on those characters so you'll have medium or large when you go to empty the tray. Use them up when you are on these flashbacks. - They haven't disabled "Long Range Teleporter" for no-travel runs, so you can always go to Talos Island which puts you within (super-powered) spitting distance from a base portal and a tram. - You can use "Burden of the Past" as your level 50 mission, since in you probably already know these 4 missions if you've been grinding for incarnate components. I've run it hundreds of times and did it with no travel powers / enemies buffed in 20 minutes. I DID get the badges for level 46-50. - The Aura of Power is good for hero-side level 31-35 - The Ouroboros Initiation is good for level 36-40 (minimal travel involved) - I'm doing a level 45 flashbacks right now and my incarnate abilities are usable! I don't know what the cutoff is, but the REAL level for the badges is 41-45, so a level 45 might be easier than a 41 if the 45 lets you keep your incarnate abilities, right? - Be aware of the bad text in the badges. The real levels are 1-14, 15-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50. Each mission from the Aspect Pillar tells you exactly the level you will be capped to for the flashback. - If you use sprint for a cheap stealth, temporarily put a run speed there instead, since you will be "jogging" through lots of the no-travel content. And maybe finally put a run speed IO into swift and a jump IO into hurdle if you haven't bothered yet. - If your AT or build sucks for any of these challenges, consider a secondary build for the low levels, and maybe even pick different pools for this case too. - If you ever dual box, you can have another toon (not on the team) run around and drop ouro portals and/or base portals for your handicapped toon doing traveling the hard way, or things like fortitude, speed boost, etc.
  19. So "BADGER" has the ranges as 1-15, 16-20, 21-25, etc. and notes that the in-game text is incorrect. I think that explains why "I lost my daddy" shows up in level 20-24 in the pillar menus (it's level 20), and why it supposedly gives the 15-19 badge (because really it's the 16-20 badge and the in-game descriptions are wrong). Unless you can adjust for all that stay away from anything that's right on the border (20, 25, 30, etc).
  20. [original mistaken correction removed!] Thanks for your dedication Blondeshell!
  21. I'm supposed to play as Praetor Duncan when doing this, but I see a combination of my character and Praetor Duncan.
  22. I couldn't get Lutris working -- it bombed with some kind of file not found error. But I did install WINE 5.0.x on Ubuntu 20.04 (64 bit), then downloaded the HC Launcher onto wine's drive_c, then right clicked on it and selected "open" (to run it with WINE). Everything works great. I'm pretty happy to not have to boot into windows for this (since on my desktop windows is way slower to be ready to actually run anything). BTW, I have a GTX 960 video card and I'm using the latest proprietary non-beta drivers. WINE did side-load MONO (for dot net functions) and GECKO (for GUI maybe?) the first time.
