I used to play on Virtue. Too many alts to list, but my main was 'mazing Monkey of the Liberty League.

Is there a certain server that most Ex-Virtue players go to?

I believe the majority have settled on Everlasting; it’s Homecoming’s unofficial RP server.

Checking in after getting back in game recently.

I was around since Beta forums days. Played on Virtue and spend most of my socializing on CoH Guru.

We may have interacted on my three primary characters:

    • The Imperial (burgundy and gold, mace-wielding classic hero)
    • Hellcat Jones (big rockabilly redhead, super strength and electric armor and hot rods)
    • Lid (teenager whose brain poured out radiation to compensate for his psychic powers - now trapped inside the super-science helmet which gave him his name)

While I'm not actively playing these characters anymore, I kept the chat handle out of nostalgia!

Definitely remember The Imperial. Nice to see ya back!

  3. SG Name: Global Defense Force

RP/RP Friendly: Yes, Moderate to Heavy RP

Theme/Era: Silver to Modern Age, akin to the Justice League

    Redside/Blueside: True Blue Heroes

    Recruitment Message:

With evil spreading beyond Paragon City across the world, the United Nations established a partnership with the Global Defense Force in 2012 in order to protect the planet from villainy wherever it appeared. Based out of their orbiting space station, the Beacon, the Global Defense Force stands ready to quickly arrive whenever and wherever they are needed in order to keep the citizens of Earth safe from evil. Following their battle in 2022 with the intergalactic warlord, Conqueror, the GDF have recently established the Hall of Heroes as their secondary base of operations off the coast of Paragon City.

OOC Notes: Originally established in 2012, the Global Defense Force is a true blue superhero group envisioned to be akin to the Justice League and through years of worldbuilding, we've established many notable NPCs and enemies that are open to our members and allies to use for any stories they may want to tell. We very much like to also showcase member-specific "Spotlight Arcs" to give more of our individual members focus and shine along with our currently in-progress "Phase 2" overarching story arc. If you have a character that you think might fit a Justice League-styled group, please DM me to discuss characters before invites to our discord go out.

This is going to encourage bad behavior. I don't have any proof of this, but it's a hunch and I think we should act on it supremely, decisively, and immediately, by reinstating the aether bonus concept, thank you.

Your thumbs down mean nothing, I've seen what you approve of.

Frankly, thumbs down from the usual suspects are a badge of honor. They give me strength to go on and read through these feedback threads each and every update lol.

Coming up with a name isn't that terrible. I've literally created four characters this month and I'm satisfied with their names. There's literally a thread with people advertising names that have been released for use. Why support laziness and entitlement?

This, I’ve picked up a handful of names for new alts over the past month or two that I’ve found to be available on Everlasting.

Implying or forcing rewards based on team composition is inherently terrible. This is a game that promotes diversity so trying to force anything else is just going to have a severely negative effect.

I can't say in all the years I played coh on live or home coming I have ever been on a specifically tailored team that has X amount of certain ATs to fit a certain a task.

If I want to run tfs or try hardmode content with a group of friends and we all want to run corruptors for example why should we be penalised for doing so, which in all honesty, this diversity bonus is doing.

Ironically though, even though this is a feedback forum post, I doubt the HC team will listen.

Yeah, you aren’t being penalized anything. You can absolutely continue to play that way with no changes or diminished rewards.

The diversity bonus is just that, an extra option bonus if folks actually try to diversify their team composition a bit.

Is it possible to proliferate it to the other Head Slots like Standard or Full Masks? I don't think it needs any adjustment, it just looks like it was missed or chosen not to appear in those head types.

Porting it to Hoods would make a lot of sense also.

My complaint could be solved by adding a few snake spawns to Paragon. Since the tip mission mentioned earlier was a Crey experiment, perhaps some of those experiments could have escaped the lab and found their way into Crey's Folly. Alternatively, since villains are now going to be coming to Striga Isle, it makes sense that some snakes from the Rogue Isles could sneak into a boat and start breeding in Striga.

This is feedback that is appreciated and I can agree with. Instead of just saying unlockable costume parts are evil, this seems like a rather easy addition to make bluesiders not have to side switch, however temporarily that may be, to get them on redside.

A bigger issue is that as far as I know, Snakes don't really spawn in Paragon City at all except for a single vigilante tip mission in the level 20-29 range. This can make the pieces annoying to get for "pure" heroes since it's so easy to miss that tip (and the tips are given randomly). I know there's the mission computer SG base item for this but that's an annoying hoop to jump through.

Swap alignments at Null in Pocket D, street sweep redside for like 10 minutes to unlock it, then swap back. Super easy.

Master of Dr. Quaterfield if you do it without any travel powers.  Just using sprint/athletic run/etc and the Geysers.  Not even a temp flight or jump pack.  Call it "The Long Way Round".

This is probably the most sadistic badge one can suggest...so I'm of course all for it.

2)- Will the remaining locks on costume pieces be lifted? Currently I still cannot put a trenchcoat/duster/matrix coat on a hero, only a villian. I was able to add it to a hero on the old servers.

I think you’re just not looking in the right spot because there is no alignment lock on costume pieces.

As the topic title says, I'd love to be able to take shield defense as a sentinel.  A few restrictions would probably have to be put in place, (perhaps not allowing dual pistols, assault rifle, beam rifle, or archery), but otherwise there really shouldn't be any issues - Tankers, Scrappers, and Stalkers can get various blast attacks via their APPs/PPPs, so that precedent already exists.  The set would probably have to be modified, like others, though - as much as I'd love to keep shield charge, this would probably be dropped in favor of some sort of end recovery power, and I could see grant cover or phalanx fighting getting replaced with some absorb click power.  Your thoughts?

I’d love Shield Defense as a Sentinel option, provided all the animation issues were able to be fully worked out.

  13. All bases that weren't considered as finalists for their respective categories should have been part of the Community Choice poll. I'd recommend that for the next one.

Also, it’s not a great look when a CR has their base as a poll option as well as them being a judge; regardless if they aren’t personally allowed to vote on it. Either the judge needs to completely recuse themselves from the next contest or the base has to not be included.

You seem to have a thing for purple, light green, and shade colors.

Conqueror, Saturn, and Starscourge all stand out.  Starscourge is a pretty great Warshade name.

Well those in particular have similar color schemes but yeah, I do tend to use more muted colors for most of my costumes. I was pleasantly surprised Starscourge was available when I got it.
