Some of the controllers has pets, but only the MM's are 'real' pet classes. A lot of them has at least some PBAoE in their secondary sets, but that's not melee. I suspect arachnos soldier is your best bet here. They get disruptor drones and melee powers. (In fact, they get extremely versatille.).

I am somewhat concerned that, since the team is in talks with NCsoft about the server, they'll have to answer either yes or no, and if it's a no, this place goes poof. This might be unfounded or not, I do not know either the legalese or other factors, but I really like the game, and I've been missing it like crazy, and having the opportunity to play here again the last week has been fantastic. If worst comes to worst - is there contigency plans in place to let people download the server code and run their own servers somewhere? What kind of hardware would we be looking at?

For me it took perhaps half an hour? Not long at all, at least. But then, I didn't DL at prime time.

Virus scanners work by detecting patterns, and if it recognizes a potentially unsafe pattern, it checks against a list of programs which is known to cause false positives - they have a pattern reminiscent of a virus in some area, and if it matches that list, it won't warn after all. (Very simplified.). This is an archive. Archives are compressed, so the patterns do not match the actual code, but it can still look suspicious to the AV, and seeing as it's not all that official a program, it's not been added to exceptions. That's why this is most likely a false positive - a reported virus that isn't. (I know this isn't 100% accurate or even correct, but it contains the gist of it.).

The equivalent would be driving around in a stolen car. You don't drive around in a stolen car with a busted taillight. While the penalty might not be that bad, you don't want the attention it brings. With that said, I haven't actually seen any copycats, which is a bit surprising, honestly.

I always was a relaxed PvE'er at heart, and my fondest memories are from CoH (and CoV). I remember my character, Gun Angel - no prizes for guessing power or flight mode - and how it was fun carefully setting up traps etc. to defeat tough encounters. It is a game that captured my imagination in a way very few have managed since. Seeing it have a chance to come alive again is really heartwarming - even if I am painfully aware it might not have aged all that well, I am more than willing to reminisce in it a bit. The good enemy designs, the story - everything about this game was good, but in particular, the character creator. Thank you for giving me a chance to revisit Paragon City. Homecoming is, indeed, aptly named. Edit: I had worried about wether it had aged well, but it has, perhaps even like a fine wine: It has stood the test of time well and then some. I am in love all over again. :)
