  1. So I possess a Minion (a Wolf Spider Enforcer, I think), and he starts attacking the Base Commander (conning orange to me).  I keep spamming the Possess power, and notice that, while the WSE is attacking and hurting the BC, the BC isn't retaliating at all.  He just stood there and took it.  When he got down to about 100 HP, I jumped in and finished him.

     

    Did the game glitch or do baddies not attack a possessed 'teammate'?

  3. Apologies if this has already been answered.

     

    I'm rolling up a toon to run the Praetorian content (never done the Gold side).  I downloaded Ultra Infinitum from @Infinitum's OP.  UI is a Shield Defense / Electric Melee Tank.

     

    Somehow (and please don't ask how I did this), while going through the Character Creator, I clicked 'Brute' instead of 'Tank'.

     

    According to MIDs, Tankers have Excellent Defenses and Good Melee while Brutes have Excellent Melee, Good Defenses and Rage.

     

    The questions are:

    1.  Since UI's build took the first power in each Power Set, can I still just follow the Tanker build for my Brute?
    2.  Or is the build compromised in some way?
    3.  And if the build is compromised, @Infinitum, would you happen to have a build for an Electric Melee / Shield Defense Brute?

    Any and all help is greatly appreciated.  👍

    First, I replaced Hurl with Cross Punch and put the Armageddon Set in it.

    A bit of judicious tweaking could PROBABLY eake out a bit more in the way of Defense and Resist.
    But as a base build, it's fairly badass.

    If you're worried about the slightly low E/N Defense, pair it up with Diamagnetic in Interface to floor out the chance ToHit.

     

    I'm enjoying this build very much (currently at L15) but I like to plan ahead.  What is the best selection for each Incarnate slot?

  9. Mids Reborn is a fantastic tool and I'd like to learn how to use it properly and work the numbers in my favor.

     

    I've been trying to figure out what's the 'best' balance amongst Set Bonuses.

     

    I open Mids and am a bit overwhelmed about what I'm seeing.

     

    I'm building a Martial Arts / Willpower Scrapper (Heroside).

     

    I look at all of the Set Bonuses available.  The problem is:  I want them all.  (I'm a pig!)

     

    I'm hoping that you good people on the Forums here can point me in the right direction for a proper balance of Set Bonuses between the following (in order of importance):

     

    1.   Accuracy
    2.   DmgBuff (Smash / Melee)  (#2 because w/o Accuracy, DmgBuffs are useless).
    3.   DefBuff / ResDmg / MezRes  (as many as possible but definitely Smash / Lethal / Melee and maybe Ranged and AoE).
    4.   Regeneration
    5.   Recovery

     

    For example, when I click the 'View Active Set' button:

     

    1.   Would an aggregate Accuracy Set Bonus of +25% hit all targets 95% of the time?  If not, what's the number?
    2.   I've heard that there's a softcap and a hardcap for Def and DmgRes.  On a scrapper, what are these values?
    3.   How much DefBuff and ResDmg Set Bonuses would I need to softcap (or hypothetically) even hardcap)?
    4.   Is there such a thing too much Regeneration? (not counting having more than 5 of the same bonuses, of course).

     

    There's a lot going on and I know that I can't have everything that I want but once again, I'm trying to strike a powerful yet efficient balance.

     

    I'd like my hero to make Hamidon piss himself just thinking about me.  😈

     

    I know that's not realistic but it's fun to think about, isn't it?  😁

    I'll show you the file location in a sec. but WTH?!!  In the red box, Size and Size on Disk is 0 bytes.  That's probably the problem.  There's nothing there.

    The Modder is not on the list.  I'll keep trying but I'm beginning to wonder if it's meant to be or not.  😉

  11. I guess that I celebrated too soon.  I download 7-Zip and try to unzip the file.

     

    Here's a pic of where the file supposedly is:

    It's listed under Quick Access but nowhere else.  When I try to unzip the file, a window pops up with 94 files (almost none of them are for City of Heroes.  In fact, there is no CoH_Modder_169.7z anywhere on the list.

     

    I right-clicked on the file (in the above pic) and went to Properties.  The file size is 127kb, so the file is on my computer somewhere, right?  Why can't I find it?  😒

  12. I'm not exactly sure how this happened but somehow (someway), I have the CoH_Modder_169.7z file.  HURRAY!

     

    Now.  I need to unzip the file using 7-Zip, right?  And unzip the file into C:\Games\CoH or does it need to go into C:\Games\CoH\Homecoming?

  14. Could I request a Ice/Martial Combat Blaster plz?  There is a build for it on this thread but that's for Ranged.  I want my hero to blast baddies with her ice powers and then rush in and finish them off with Martial Combat before they thaw out.  😁

     

    I guess that's the definition of Blapper.  😏

     

    If you could softcap the defenses, that would be a major plus.   👍

    I'll sum up what's going on:

    1.  I hate hyphens.
    2.  Standing in Atlas Park's Wentworth's on the Excelsior server is . . . Luminescent Beauty (Level 2 Kin/Rad Defender).
    3.  LB started as a Villain so I could get the Jailbird exploration badge.  I love badges!
    4.  After the Tutorial, I ran to the Mercy Island Pocket D truck, talked to Null the Gull who changed my alignment to Hero.
    5.  I got some nice shiny badges for doing it this way.
    6.  I can always go back (hopefully) to the Outbreak map via Flashback to get the Isolator badge.
    7.  I wasn't sure if there's a Flashback mission where you can go back to the Breakout map and get the Jailbird badge.

    If I can't go back to the Outbreak Flashback map and get the Isolator badge because I started as a Villain, fine.

     

    On Indom, RB has the Isolator badge while on Excelsior, LB has the Jailbird badge.

     

    LB and RB are two sides of the same coin, after all.

  17. So I've been toying with the idea of having a Dual Build on RB.

     

    The first build is the one that I'm using now (using 5 Enh Boosters per Enh)

     

    The second build would be the exact same build EXCEPT that I would use a Enh Catalyst on each Enh.  That way, when I exemplar down for Task Forces or Flashback, the Sets still work.  Is this feasible?

     

    @DreadShinobi, I've been meaning to ask:  How did you do the Enhancement Boosters on the Mids build itself so each enh says Inv Level 50+5?  And is there a way to the same thing with Catalysts?

    RB is currently Veteran Level 11.

     

    Here are her current Incarnate Abilities:

     

    Alpha:  Vigor Core Paragon

    Judgment:  Void Partial Core Judgment (will be Void Core Final Judgment as soon as I get the Living Relic)

    Interface:  Spectral Radial Flawless Interface

    Lore:  Longbow Total Core Improved Ally (will be Longbow Core Superior Ally as soon as I get the Thaumic Resonator)

    Destiny:  Barrier Core Epiphany

    Hybrid:  Assault Radial Embodiment

     

    Today, RB finally collected The Atlas Medallion!
