  3. Is Moonbeam's dps worth it on a stalker? With a .6 damage scale for ranged powers I wasn't sure. Would fireblast suffice for runners? Melt Armor with the Achilles proc in it is really very good, I think I'd prefer it overall.
  4. The leadership powers on a defender are so good (especially on a team) that it is almost criminal not to take them. Maneuvers gives your whole team 5.5% defense to all without you needing to ever reapply it. Tactics is the same thing, but providing 19% tohit (with an alpha, not sure its like 16-17 without it, but thats still great). Those two things are huge, especially while leveling up. Power Boost is incredible good on time because it applies to farsights defense and tohit. Unfortunately, power boost does not apply to your res shields or your +dmg buffs. Power Boost does apply to the -tohit portion of your dark powers, but they are already so good on a defender that I don't think its worth it (blackstar already applies a -62.5% tohit debuff, that is enough to floor damn near everything. I see no need to go up to 100+ -tohit). With you mostly teaming and power boost not really helping you, I thought I'd try going the Mace Shield route. The advantages to this build are that you have a lot more global recharge and you have a very nice 'Oh shit' button in the way of rune of protection. Most of the time I like to use rune of protection as a break free, but it also seriously buffs your resists. The downside of this build is you have less resistance overall when rune of protection is down and you are not good against damage types that are not s/l/e.   5. Torrent has some of the worst dps of any cone I know of and its only a 30 degree arc...its bad and whoever made it should feel bad. Then you also add knockbacl to it so there is a kb to kd IO tax too...boo Torrent! BOO!! Dark pit is only good if you can stack it with another stunning power so that bosses and lieutenants also get stunned. You could make some changes and take dark pit and then switch out dark consumption for oppressive gloom. That way everything gets stunned and I personally think its hilarious and super fun to do. This would be incredibly easy to incorporate both of those things if we weren't trying to get R/M softcapped, its a bit harder to do on thermal as it offers no help in the set itself. Now if you will always be teaming and can count on having even one 4-5% maneuvers coming from somewhere else, I will redo the build with that in mind and take dark pit and oppressive gloom.

Also, I should note that this is built around the idea that you will need to be self sufficient and not ely on anyone else in the team (while still providing your team with buffs....you're selfish selfish team...). You could get a lot more recharge, -tohit, and procs out of an S/L/E build using Mace Mastery. In order to get to the M/R def softcap, you need to make sacrifices.   7. I believe it does stay on after the power boost ends, same with time's farsight. For even more crazy boosting potential look at Radial Clarion+Power Boost+FFG it alone can softcap your team.
  8. Personally, I find that on corruptors as you ramp up the difficulty he becomes much less survivable and just dies. At +4x8 you might as well not have him unless you are teaming with people who can buff his defense. I have the same problem with the lore pets, unless I'm on my /time toon they are going to die On a controller I think he is better as you can keep the mobs controlled much more easily. That being said I still take him on my fire/dark corruptor because he is still worth 7.5% recharge and 2.5 energy defense for 4 slots. Plus he is the only pet native to corruptors and I love how he looks.
  9. Finally, someone who gets it. Ya gotta have more whirlwind. Brutes can actually make good use of whirlwind with the right build. The extra recharge from the FF proc is always welcome. You just need a way to deal with the endurance cost. Just never try to use Repel from kinetics in combination with Whirlwind, not even RA can keep up with the endurance costs.....I really really wanted it to work...
  10. This, but remember that the cap includes the damage bonus from enhancements. So, in real terms a brute needs to hit 550-580% (depending on enhancements and alpha) damage buff in order to hit the cap. (I'm sure you know this, but I just wanted to point it out for general public knowledge.)
  11. Its not bad. I do think there are places we can make improvements by changing some things and using +5s (I assume these are ok to use as you are using winter IOs). I have not played a stalker since IOs came out on live, so I simply took the same primary and secondary power choices you did. I did remove some powers from the pools and changed into blaze mastery for melt armor using the achilles proc (is there something about moonbeam I don't know about? It seems to be a ranged attack that you are using for 5% energy defense). I removed tactics because without moonbeam there isn't much point and I removed assault because a 10% damage buff isn't very much for a stalker (you'll get more milage out of melt armor anyway I think). Also, you will get far more use out of having the gaussian proc in aim so you may time when it goes off. This build is softcapped to almost all types but psionic (and s/l by .5%, but come on), but it has better recharge and end usage while increasing the global recharge to 153.8% this should keep your chains running more smoothly and hasten being closer to perma. A lot of options will open up for this build at 50 depending on the Alpha you choose.   12. Hmmmmm, you could try dark blast. It doesn't really synergize with thermal, but I don't think anything does really. Dark blast would allow you to further protect your team though with -tohit and that combined with your +res shields would make your team very tanky.
  13. Yeah, make some changes to health and stamina as these changes will offer much more endurance. I went ahead and switched to lvl 30 IOs in some powers and then also used 2 the two enhancement slots at 31.
