  1. Well maybe your life is so empty that you have nothing better to do than browse the web, but I have a job that's actually kind of important and require my undivided attention and focus, so you'll excuse me if I wait until I am back home to spend time on something like a video game forum. As for the actual topic at hand, what a disappointment, given people who play this are in the older gamer category I was expecting to maybe have a mature conversation on how going back to beloved childhood game might not be such a great idea after all because with greater age comes greater critical sense and a vastly wider library of reference point to draw comparison from, so your beloved childhood memories may not old up so well to scrutiny. Well apparently that was vastly, VASTLY overestimating the reasoning capability of this community since all the "reply", assuming you can call them that , I got are either: -childish taunt -vaguely veiled insult -typical pathetic apologist nonsense - offer of pity that so far, well, I am not sure if they're actually genuine or if they should be in the veiled insult category, so i'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I can't post an elaborate answer without some material to work with and so far I have none, so i'll just give a general rebuttal. It's not MY place as a end users to go hunt for the required information necessary for me to use the product. Putting aside the fact that set bonus non working on pet is a giant balance failure, this is a textbook case of shit than needs to be in your god damn tooltip, that's design school 101. Anyway, this is pointless, I had good memories of the game and now I don't anymore, neither CoH or this community are up to my standard so i'll just be moving on with my free time. PS: No, you can't have my stuff.
  2. For days now, I was wondering why are my pet with over 120% accuracy bonus, tactics etc, still struggle to hit +4 enemies (who are +6 to them), I thought at first maybe I am stupid and I don't understand how accuracy and to hit stat differ and work together or maybe I suck math or I didn't understand the combat resolution article on the wiki. Well today I got the horrifying answer. They simply don't have 120% accuracy bonus because the only set bonus that work on pet are the aura from the mastermind only set from the merit vendor, EVERYHTING else doesn't work. hahahaha, no really, it's all broken, the entire enhancement set bonus feature doesn't work for mastermind primary power pool. What a sad fucking joke. bonus damage? don't work, bonus healing? don't work. bonus recharge? nop does nothing? Bonus accuracy ? nah, why would you want that for pet that are already penalized on their to hit by being lower level than you. I didn't believe it at first because how the hell such a gigantic failure of design could exist in a commercial product, but after testing it, well it's true, the 80% something accuracy bonus I got from set bonus doesn't exist for my pet. I wasted my entire vacation time working my ass off to farm merit and influence to fully gear my main MM with purple IO set to be the best she could be and it was all for nothing. I don't think there is a words strong enough to describe how utterly disgusted I am, all those hours of my life thrown away for nothing. This crap makes the entire IO set feature of the game completely pointless for MM and the most flabbergasting thing about it is, this isn't even a last ditch stuff they put into the game right before closure, IO set have existed long before the game was shut down, the fact they never bothered to fix it is just disturbing. I am not sure what's the saddest part is really , the complete lack of professionalism from these sorry devs or the complete lack of backbone from the community who let it happens at the time, if any other game suddenly introduced an end game progression system that completely discriminate against one class just because the devs are too fucking lazy to code it, oh boy that wouldn't go quietly, I can imagine the Warframe forum if their devs tried something like that. Flame all you want but right now I wish I never learned the homecoming project existed, when I think I could have spend my vacation time catching up on some actually good game like divinity 2, or pillars of eternity, bleh.
  3. Damn, I had completly forgotten the lockdown set existed, I usually dismiss it because it used to be a really low proc chance, but with ppm mechanics and since soul storm is a patron power it has such a long recharge that even a 2ppm proc should have a 100% chance to activate, i'll try it as soon as I can buy one, hopefully should be much more reliable. Thanks a lot for reminding me.
  4. I wanted to make my own proc thread but there is this one, I might as well use it, sorry if this feel like highjacking the thread. So I tried using some proc in my power last night and result was VERY disappointing, so either I completely didn't understand the proc per minute explanation on the wiki or I am missing a parameter somewhere. The power I tested on is soul storm on the ghost widow patron pool, it's a single target mag 3 hold, i slotted with the Hold proc from the devastation set for single target damage power. The idea was that with a mag 3 on the power and a mag 2 on the proc it would one tap hold boss until my demon prince can switch target and cast his own hold power on the boss, the two of us can keep a boss held forever, so it was just a safeguard , you know for the time you open a door and face yourself 3 meters away from a boss. on paper it seemed like a nice idea since the proc has a 3 ppm and soul storm has a base cooldown of 32 sec, so should be 100% chance to proc. After dying countless time I can say, it doesn't work, almost never work to hold boss, at first I thought that maybe the proc hold and innate hold of the power don't stack, and I was quite pissed if such a rules exist it is not stated everywhere, until it did works once, then not again . i'd say it hold a boss for 8 sec(the duration of the proc) about 10% of the times, so now I am super confused as to what's happening, do the proc have their own accuracy check maybe? Or is it because soul storm is a dot so it screw up te proc chance math ?If anyone has any idea of what's happening, i'd like to knw
  5. Simple question, but assuming I get a +5 end badge on the villain side, if I switch to hero side do I keep the badge? can I stack it with the similar +5 end badge from the hero side?
  6. I put the original game on hold a few years before the end, so I didn't know the system before reading the wiki, but dear god, that put a serious dampening field on my respect for the original dev team. promoting a the whole "going rogue" things as big content update, when in fact it's just a giant noob trap is one hell of a dick move, what's the point of going rogue if you cut yourself from one the most useful merit type in the game? you can buy purple recipe for alignment merit, that's huge. I have seen the current dev team made quite a few change the standard merit system already, I hope they fixed that as well.
  7. Damn, thanks a lot for the test and for teling me about the tempowary analyzer power, no idea that existed, I gues i'll run more test at level 50 on my mastermind and give you number, since the power supposedly scale with level.
  8. I mean this thing cost 3 sec to activate, that's not a small investment, I can't just fire it and hope it does something. plus it's a power pool so effectiveness probably vary by archetype, and according to the description, by level too. It would really help if could get the info pae on this power to actually work.
  9. I haven't tried other archetype, but since kin is brand new for master mind I assume it's a bug just with them. To the point, most of the time Increased density will not provide knockback protection to my team, I checked on my pet stat page and the knockback resist just isn't there most of the time. Mind you there is some time where the kockback is listed and it seem to work, but most minion I check don't have it. Not sure what cause the power to work/fail need more testing. I hope this is in your mean to fix, because as a a kin Mastermind we have precious few way to buff our pet before fulscrum shift, since speed boost doesn't work on pet because recharge bonus fuck up the IA, if I remember right what devs told us back in the day. so getting that to work would really help lower level play as a kin MM
