There are some similarities on the grammar side but the differences are much more prevalent. English is also not really a Germanic language but a wild mix with significant influence from Latin, French and Nordic for obvious reasons since they invaded and occupied large portions of the countries for centuries. German has nothing on Finnish when it comes to grammatical complexity.

Well good luck with your studies. I learned English by reading the Lord of the Rings trilogy with a dictionary next to me and I read it several times. I had a gastroscopy done while fully conscious and I cannot recommend that because it felt like I needed to empty my stomach every 10 seconds and the examination took a while. As a German I can recommend learning Swedish! It has only 2 articles of which one is approximately used by 70% of Swedish nouns which makes guessing a fairly good choice when in doubt and the grammar difficulty is simplified to a large degree compared to German.

Lesbian is not a gender identity it is a sexuality. As to abusive, that is debatable. The player might very well have meant it ironic, or it can also really just be that particular character with no further intention than that. You have not presented clear evidence that the person went out and made a statement about all lesbians and in fact you cannot. You only have shown that you personally seem to take great offense to the name and seem to expect that everyone else has to agree with you. I would rather say that someone making a character named after a goddess of womanhood and give her water blast power set turned red to simulate menstrual blood is far more offensive or at the very least exceedingly childish. But what I find truly offensive are players who would ruin other players experience by crashing servers because they throw a tamper tantrum. The F-slur is clearly a slur and understood as such by basically everyone even in non-English speaking countries. The character you seem to have a problem with is not such a clear case as I have outlined earlier and in fact not in the slightest. Poor taste maybe, but a slur? That is a stretch unless you can show via chat screenshots that the player is clearly bigoted towards lesbians.

Buff affecting the caster makes sense. Why would I not be able to buff myself? CoH is literally the only game where I have seen buffs giving me diddly squat. This is aggravating on FF controller for example because in early levels you get your two team buffs already and Personal Force Field and they do nothing for you outside of PFF which is mostly useful for traveling. It really is nothing but an outdated antiquated notion. Furthermore you still only get half the buff effect so the general idea is still retained. I always hated the idea that I need to be grouped at all times if I choose a specific class basically. It is part of the reason why WoW was so much more successful than its predecessors. The first 10 levels are easy either way, so I do not care if they get easier. Past 10 it starts to normalize again and at 20 it is a little easier in that you are not levelling at a snails space on lower damage control sets, which basically all but Fire, Grav and Plant, but you cannot be asleep either even on standard difficulty. Not sure what you mean with damage increase for pets. Gravity and Wind are both low damage pets that mostly offer extra CC and an extra body enemies can attack. MC has no pet so the point is moot. Illusion Phantasm is not exactly a damage monster either. Furthermore pool power attacks are now on par with AT attack powers giving a lot more variety and viable builds. They even removed the recharge from Brawl and people have been making Brawl builds that are not just laughing stocks. Defenders now have access to some melee sets so if you want to you can make a melee defender. Or use a ranged set and supplement it with Fighting, which now also has an option for melee weapons, and make a blapping defender. All in all, I prefer the way TS has handled things, you can argue that the numbers should be lowered or scaling be changed but other than that? Better compared to HC in some ways for me especially that you do not need those idiotic prerequisites for pool powers and epic pools which never made any sense whatsoever since AT powers also had no prerequisite powers only level requirement which are still in place. Let us not get into difficulty when HC hands out IOs like candy late game and trivializes most content at 50.

Yeah, I am having a blast, pun indented, with a wind control dominator on TS atm. Also made a MC controller because TS gave much needed buffs to MC and they make MC a lot more fun.

I only use my left hand on the keyboard. I could never get used not using my mouse. It is by far the best instrument in games like CoH to me.

I am not saying that my way is better. It is just the most comfortable to me. Well second most, my favourite is having a 20 button mouse with 1-12 on thumb buttons on the side but my last one broke down so this setup has to do for now.

e,d,s,f to move. 1-4, q,w,r,t,a,g for abilities. Those in conjunction with alt or shift to access my other two trays though the "alt" tray I mostly use for toggles and buffs with long recharge. I got a fourth tray for stuff I use rarely, like long range teleporter.

Again, your CDs are short as it is and with 1 minute CDs on your big abilities those 70% seem nice on paper, in practicality you shave off 3-4 seconds once you are just even somewhat geared and that is not even counting in Incarnates. As usual you people love to throw out the 70% recharge without any further context. Once you hit endgame the bonus from Hasten becomes even less relevant. And no you do not need Siphon Speed at 4 stacks, it is utterly superfluous to try to stack Siphon Speed that to compensate Hasten. 1-2 stacks is more than enough just do not let it expire. Far more important is that you get sufficient defence and resists considering that you are operating at dangerously close distances and please spare me the "just CC bro" nonsense, it will not always work.

Nonsense. Character concept > anything else. Furthermore there are plenty of concepts like Iron Man type power armour wielding heroes that go best with Sentinel. Also they have the fastest recharge on their T9s so if you are into spamming one of those sentinels will let you blast to your heart's content. Their AT active is also appreciated in group content. I have not once seen anyone asking someone to leave because they are sentinel and I had groups with 3 or more sentinels and we did just fine. In fact I recently ran a SBB with a sentinel, 2 defenders and me on a controller and it was smooth sailing. They have a place and perform well enough. Blasters are overrated. The only people who care overly much about not playing sentinels and try to bad mouth them in an effort that they are no played seems to be a particular brand of elitist min-maxers that I can happily give a wide berth in-game.

No it is not that good at least not on /kin compared to for example illusion or dominators. But as I said before you do not care anyway so this is where I exit this pointless exchange since it is getting boring reading the same drivel over and over.
