Each mayhem mission has a chance of having an arson side mission, but the lower level ones have a limit on how many side missions will spawn, while higher level mayhems will have more of them. The last two mayhem missions (Founders Falls and Peregrine Island) will both have every possible side mission spawning every time, so those are probably the easiest bet if you want to cut down on random chance since you're guaranteed to get an arson job. Other than that its just a matter of what level you're able to farm at most efficiently.
  2. It's also entirely possible that the old devs didn't finish placing all the plaques they wanted, as the map was still unfinished and unimplemented when the game ended.
  3. I'd suggest using VidiotMaps for explore badges if you're not already, it changes the ingame maps to show where each badge is. However if you just use the original version some badges will be in the wrong location, as some were changed by Homecoming. There's an updated version of it in the Tools Utilities & Downloads forum which I'll link below. However that patch is slightly out of date as of Issue 27, and some maps (such as Sirens Call) won't display properly. The RWZ maps will be up to date though.
  4. From what I remember, in order to get credit for a badge your team (not league) has to do at least 10% of the damage done to the giant monster. When working as a league its important to try to balance the teams to make sure that each team does enough damage to get the badge. I know in a previous Homecoming patch they removed this requirement from Jack and Eochai in Croatoa because they would often damage each other enough to prevent anyone from getting the badge, but I'm not sure if that change was also applied to other giant monsters. And if it was, it's possible they forgot to change the holiday event monsters.
  5. It gets a lot easier to maneuver down the slopes when you're using a power that provides some air control, like Combat Jumping, Super Jump, Ninja Run, etc. From what I recall when the event first came out, it's because the slipping controls in CoH are a bit of a hack and mechanically are more like falling with style. So anything that lets you move around easier in the air will also let you move around easier on slippery surfaces. Or something like that.
  6. I went and added pages for the new issue 27 badges, since I have the descriptions for them on hand. Haven't edited pages to add links to the badges that may need them, that's a project for another time. For the defeat badges I copied the Where to Find info from similar badges from the same enemy groups, so hopefully that information is accurate enough. There's one badge (Brass Hunter) that I noticed a spelling mistake in (two words swapped in a sentence). I posted about it in the bugs forum, and for now just copied the description as its displayed in game to the wiki. It can be changed if the spelling error is ever corrected.
  7. There's a mistake in the new Brass Hunter badge. It says "of at a least thousand" when it should probably say "of at least a thousand" instead.
  8. The stuff that probably needs the most effort in getting information together will be the new arcs. Different dialog options and optional missions make them harder to put together in the wiki compared to some of the older arcs.
  9. If they have anything planned for adding story content to KW, they may be holding off on adding all the badges and plaques until they finalize the story. It would suck if they wrote stuff now and then realized later down the line that some of it had to be changed for story reasons. Adding just the one badge is probably for the Teleport accolade, and I imagine the one they chose to add in is the one that's least likely to need to be changed down the line.
  10. That's how I thought it was, but I figured I must have been remembering it wrong.
  11. Paragonwiki isnt being edited anymore, and the fandom wiki has been abandoned since before that. The wiki we're using now is one that was made specifically for Homecoming. There's a link to it at the top of the page in these forums. https://hcwiki.cityofheroes.dev/wiki/Main_Page With that said, I logged in and confirmed the problem with the /loc being wrong, so I'll be updating that page on the Homecoming wiki shortly. EDIT: nevermind, someone else got to it before me
  12. Pursuer / Elusive is the badge for the CoV anniversary. Last year they didn't make a new badge or require you to purchase it, it was just granted on login for that month. Not something that needs to be purchased, but still locked to the month.

    Energized badge

When you go into Architect mode the team leader has the option of choosing Standard Rewards or Architect Rewards. Standard Rewards will give you normal drops including recipes, so most people prefer that. Architect Rewards will only drop AE tickets. The mission needs to be set to Architect Rewards for Energized to work. If you're using Standard Rewards the inspirations are considered to be normal drops, not AE drops, and won't count towards the badge.
  14. This makes sense. You're not really healing damage on the friendly mobs, you're getting healing credit for the +Max HP buff you're putting on them. So the size of the buff apparently doesn't change regardless of the rank of the critter you're putting it on, since their base HP isn't taken into account. The buff is affected by your own +Healing though. Good to know.
  15. It only awards if you're a Villain or a Rogue. Homecoming Wiki says that if you earn it as a Hero or Vigilante, you'll get the badge when you change alignment. https://hcwiki.cityofheroes.dev/wiki/Villainous_Badge
  16. As I recall, if you have worked with Dean before (you have the Bane of Ajax badge) then you will get an alternate cutscene on the final mission of Mr. G (Primal)'s first arc. This will cause the trigger that will make Dean spawn in the second arc. Playing the arcs out of order will make it so he doesn't show up and you can't save him for the badge. Of course, that doesn't mean you're locked out of the badge. You can redo the arcs as many times as you want through Ouro, so you just need to go back to the first arc (Criminals or War), play through it until you get that alternate cutscene with Dean hijacking Yin's broadcast, and the replay the second arc (Sweeps Week) so you can rescue Dean.
  17. I would not recommend using external automation programs/macros. Scripts/programs that automate gameplay are listed as one of the things that is not allowed under the Conduct Guidelines in the code of conduct.
  18. You're probably thinking of Veteran badges, which were unrelated to anniversary badges. On live they were tied to how long your account has been active, and you'd get one badge every 3 months. Since it was linked to your billing info they would be automatically granted to all your characters. The SCORE private server (which Homecoming inherited the code from) removed the veteran rewards system, granting those powers with the pay2win store instead. The veteran badges were repurposed for the new Veteran Levels system, which would give you badges for every 3 levels after 50.
  19. Click on My Account to bring up the globals registered to your account, and select one of your characters you have tracked. It will show a badge list with the various badge types, and the total amount of each (Accolade 131/131, etc). If you click on one of those options it will show you a full list of the badges under that section, with a check mark beside the badges you already have. At the top there will also be an option you can click to show the missing badges only.
  20. This guide in the Guides forum (https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/3899-ouroboros-flashback-badge-guide) has some suggested arcs down at the bottom of the post. Not sure if they are still considered the best missions to do, just what I found with a quick search. The main thing to remember with Ouro badges is that you generally want a short and easy arc, BUT that the single mission badge "arcs" that are listed in Ouro don't count. Depending on your build and play style some arcs may be easier than others, so the best arc for you may differ from the suggested ones.
  21. I'll add a +1 to this, even if it was posted on the wrong board. It would be a great addition that would make all sorts of things a lot easier.
  22. The same thing happened during the New Years short event, where they gave out fireworks. I forget the badge name, but it was the same deal. Badge appeared with no notification, didn't count towards character badge total, and disappeared once the event was over. I figure they were probably using badges to give us the event powers/effects, and those badges were only visible to us so we could use them as a (temp) badge title during the event if we wanted to.

    Pursuer badge

Pursuer / Elusive is the badge for the anniversary for City of Villains release, and is not part of the regular anniversary badges. It was available during the month of November last year to coincide with the CoV anniversary, and will probably be available again this November.
  24. The majority of AE badges were removed shortly after being introduced (AE was added in issue 14, most badges were removed in issue 15). Those second tier AE badges don't exist anymore, and cannot be earned.
