  1. Given what a moneymaker "remastered" old games are? Heck yeah.
  2. Took a shot at Krea, and when I wasn't quite happy with the results, I fed itself the output, then overlaid them in a paint program and combined the two... then combined the original over that... then fed it to Krea again. Krea SURE likes wrinkles, doesn't it?

  4. I am reminded of a conversation in ... I think it was in Help Channel? a week or so ago. There was a Shield/ tank who was frustrated that there was content he couldn't be Main-Tank for; I believe Hamidon was the specific example brought up. Should the highest tier content be tuned so potentially anyone could do it? To perpetuate the joke, what about a suboptimal toon like a Warshade?
  5. Depending on how her origin works out, I could see that being correct. If she's a Weapon X type, maybe she was put together from leftover meat scraps 🙂
  6. I lean into my alt-itis. First, I generate the character - which could have any number of seeds to it from an offhand joke spoken earlier to book characters to OCs dreamed up on my commute. Upon appearing in Atlas I hit the START vendor and pick up Mu and Nemesis Beatstick, the five Enhancers, and the x2 XP buff. Then it's straight to where the Hellions are raising hell (ha) in the west side (Once you're a Jet you're a Jet all the way!). Group up spawns and Mu them down. Gain a level and keep going, using the Insp buffs from levelling to push harder and faster. Keep this up til I ding 4, then go see Back Alley Brawler and level up, followed by street sweeping in Argosy til 6, maybe more if I'm having a good time. Then one of two things: if there's a DFB starting, I'll join that; if not, the character goes on the shelf to accumulate Patrol XP. I cycle characters in and out of play as their Patrol XP waxes and wanes, doing whatever strikes my fancy at the time. I haven't joined in any PI Council shenanigans since the Council Patch, but if it's a character I've really taken a shine to I might park them in a dual-boxed fire farm. I recently did this with a villain I've taken a liking to and now plan to use Ouro to go do all the redside content.
  7. I've never had problems porting them in as long as I had both the Ultimate running and my +1 Alpha shift. My Accuracy is sittin' at 1.52x. I use both Fold Space and Wormhole to do it (and Shadow Slip on my Warshade main).
  8. On my Grav/Kin in MSRs, it's a fun game of NUMBERS GO UP. Fold Rikti into the center, Fulcrum them so the murderball gets cranked, then Speed Boost 'em all. How long can I keep those two values at max? Fold some more! IT WILL BLEND!

  11. • Added scaling HP to Giant Monsters when in the presence of more than 8 players. Is this true of Ukon Grai as well? Because damn, it took about a third of our clock time on the MSR to down him this afternoon (Zone raid). EDIT: Maybe we were just short on damage. Evening MSR took us less time.
  12. I think just flipping Group Fly and Team Teleport to Opt-In at Null rather than Opt-Out at Null would fix the problems with those.
  13. I'd much rather keep Untouchable than risk losing it for a +DEF buff. Being able to soak an alpha strike with basically no risk is superpowerful.
  14. Not usually, but I do have an Energy/Energy Sentinel who is a Legacy hero - she's the third in her family to carry the mantle of Captain Andromedae. The Praetorian version of "her" is is mother, whose daughter was killed by the Devouring Earth and took the mantle back up.

  16. I look at it similar to the shift when photography became a thing and artists revolted against it. Artists shifted and new styles became prominent, and then the landscape settled again with photography being another tool in the artists' kit.

  18. I think if the inhabitants of Paragon - heroes included - weren't somewhat jaded they'd go insane. There are literal demon-summoner street gangs at the lowest end. In a vaccuum, that must cause a lot of hand-wringing; are these literal servants of the Devil? Extradimensional creatures claiming to be 'demons'? Then as the threats rachet up, you get evil spirits posessing average citizens and summoning more, infections that wrack and twist citizens into the most terrifying threat seen in recent years (Lost/Rikti), fairly large street gangs of mutants roaming the streets (and more importantly from a RP perspective, giving a 'family' to ostracized mutant youngsters), all the way up to world-threatening monsters like the Devouring Earth stalking the fringes of urban areas. From an out-of-game perspective it's all there to give our characters stuff to fight, but from an ingame perspective it must be terrifying to live in Paragon, where fascists demonstrate in the streets, Mafiosos and high-tech goons batter each other and cut deals in alleys, and you could get jumped on your way to your car by someone who plans to chop you into pieces for spares.
  19. As a side note, you can fly over the stone wall, yes - but if Mudball (and maybe another power) had -Fly maybe that's not such a big limitation. Me, I'm imagining a couple Tellurics building deathtraps penning a group of foes in a corner or something...

  21. Pretty sure they mean a look at a *different* Nictus-y Earth, one where instead of everyone becoming a Warwolf something different happened.
  22. My own Mandela moment is this - am I remembering wrong, or did mobs once (in distant memory) aggro nearby mobs when they ran?
  23. Will we get a clash with another gang, and a big dance number? "When you're a Warrior, you're a Warrior all the way..." (Gotta subvert that "Waaaaaariors! Come out to plaaaa-aaay!" expectation.)
