  1. @ZacKing and @Excraft thank you for all the downvotes. Your tears taste sooo good. Getting a little tense for someone who hates drama and bullying. I think this post tells everyone here exactly what we need to know. ^This. Or stop whining. I think that about sums up the latest round of forum PvP. In all seriousness who wants to meet up with me tonight to run some actual data on this? I am seriously wanting to prove that no data will change anyones mind. We can run through ITF (or whatever)and time ourselves. Then run through a fire farm for the same amount of time. Maybe do this a couple of times, as a team. Then post the inf/min here including merits gained, etc.
  2. This has been said several times, but somehow always falls on deaf ears. But I appreciate you reiterating it.
  3. I can run some numbers as well, not that I believe it will make any difference. But I’d like to prove that.
  4. People doing their own research they demand!? Are you insane!?
  5. I doubt any amount of data will change anything, but I have my popcorn ready in case.
  6. Aaaand we have another forum downvote king! You could actually call him that! It’s @ZacKing!! Thank you for your very generous donation of massive downvotes!!
  7. Saying it is one thing, proving is another. Please provide evidence of this and send it to the HC team so they can take care of it. Especially if it is so easy to find.
  8. I think the fact that the vast majority of leveling (as well as the vast majority of inf gain) happens there is what makes in an outlier. It is human nature to pile on the quick/fast/easy/repeatable nature of AE. If it were not an outlier, people wouldn't be doing it so much, and thus we wouldn't be having this conversation at all.
  9. It may have been @Glorious gloriously going through the entire thread and downvoting everyone with reckless abandon. All hail Glorious! The winner of the day!
  10. Except when he needs some quick cash from PI Bank. 🤣
  11. IMO I don't think the intent was to make "squishy" ATs less durable. That is just a (very minor, through my testing) side effect. The intent, as I understand it, was to make S/L defense as a whole not as dominant as it currently is. In the game's current state: Cold, Fire, Negative, etc (for example) defenses are less useful because most of those attacks also have a S/L component that nearly completely negates the exotic damage type when you have high S/L defense. This is the case even if the attack does 1 Lethal damage and 100000000 Cold damage. This makes S/L defense vastly overperform the other types to the point where there is no point in getting Cold Defense (for example) on a "squishy" AT. Not that these changes actually make it imperative that you have an exotic defense type either, because again... its a somewhat minor change overall. I have tested these changes quite a bit, I posted my builds earlier in this thread I believe and noticed very little difference in my survival. I used a Blaster and a Controller, which are traditionally "squishy" AT's (though the Blaster AT lately is less so). I tested Radio missions on live vs on Brainstorm and noticed very little difference in survival. Yes, you have to be a little more careful, but this isn't the apocalypse its being made out to be. You can still do +4/x8 content on a build using Scorpion Shield (for example). Scorpion Shield, from what I can tell so far, is still going to be the best overall armor toggle for a "squishy" AT. It just wont be quite as strong as it used to be, and again not by much. Will there be some enemy groups that are significantly harder? Maybe, but I don't think that is a big deal. Some enemy groups are MEANT to be harder than others, that is fine with me. As another side affect, this will make exotic resistance a little more important too. If you are building for S/L defense it may now be a good idea to build up some Cold/Fire resistance (for example) since those attacks will slip through a little more often (making those purple/winter IO set bonuses, for example, a little more valuable overall). I actually usually do this already as a general rule. I try to cover as many holes as possible when building a toon, though I admit it isn't always possible on a "squishy" AT but it is what you get when you play one. This will also make positional defense (like Ranged) a little more important than before. It has been my experience that many people have been building for S/L OR Ranged with a few able to accomplish both. I think this change is positive in that it pushes towards thinking/planning out your build a little more than before. Especially on "squishy" ATs. Anyways, that is my two cents. Take it or leave it.
  12. Hmm... what hypocrisy? I was talking about going through someone's entire post history and giving them all thumbs down simply because you disagree with them. Which I don't do. I never claimed I didn't act childish. I wear that with pride! 🤣
  13. Is it possible we can get a roll eyes reaction? I would use it... a lot. Also: What other reactions do you think would be great to add? What reactions do you think we don't need or are redundant? What is Marbing smoking and where can you get some?
  14. All you have to do to get a bunch at once is disagree with some people and they will literally go through all of your posts for the past couple of days/weeks and give them all 👎 all at once. I know, it has happened to me more than a couple times from a couple of individuals on these forums. 🤣
  15. What time? I might be able to help out.
  16. This is fair. Keep in mind, however, that just because someone disagrees with you and makes counter points that doesn't mean they aren't being compassionate or not understanding your point of view. I understand why people don't want there to be a change. I get it. I don't entirely like either option either. HOWEVER, I understand that taking something away from AE is necessary. That is my opinion. Can't have all the best / most sought after rewards all in one easy, quick, and repeatable place. Even if you only end up splitting it into 2 different easy, quick, and repeatable places that will still be better than one and much less efficient. I don't like that necessarily, because I will admit I love the convenience of AE. How easy it is to get everything I want in ONE place. But, I also understand that isn't an ideal setup for an MMO (regardless of its current state on a private server) either, IMO. But, either way, it is what it is. I am not losing sleep if the changes happen, or if they don't. I still get to play the game I love. I will adapt, and keep on pressing. Ultimately I love creating new characters, I have over 100 of them. If I can still do that... I will be happy.
  17. I think this is the point that you keep missing. I don't think the Devs really care if they find the next best method of farming. The purpose here, as I see it, is to not have all the eggs in one basket (so to speak). AE is the easiest place to obtain inf, xp, incarnate slots, incarnate mats, emp merits, reward merits, etc etc and according to some posts it isnt even close. The proposal is intended to take one or two of those things away from AE while still letting it be the best place for XP/Inf/Incarnate Slots. They are not trying to end farming. Yes, players will move to farm something else when they need something other than XP/Inf, etc etc, but at least they wont be getting everything in AE. I don't mean to speak for the Devs, and I wish one would come in to clarify that point, but I believe this was more the point. Though I have come around to realize that cutting the emp > reward merit conversion actually hurts this intent since there isnt really anything exclusive to reward merits that you cant get by farming mountains of inf. Thus, the better solution (though still not perfect I will admit) would be to cut Vet Levels from AE. Once that is done, I would suggest letting AE tickets unlock incarnate materials, so you can still progress your incarnates in AE. BUT, if that can't be done all in Page 4, I would move to just scrap these changes for now until a more perfect solution can be put in place. IMO
  18. It’s all good, people’s opinions or misunderstandings don’t offend me like some. That’s their problem not mine. I actually wouldn’t mind this, but I have over 100 toons so I’d need a couple of those extra slots… 😂
  19. This was the point of my question, doing the math in my head tells me taking away the conversion will have the opposite of the desired affect. Which means taking Vet levels out of AE was the better solution between the two to accomplish moving rewards out of AE. EDIT: Unless they plan on making things like ATOs and Winter Sets account bound, for example.
  20. I agree, the point is that their intent is for the betterment of the game, not to bully, as some have suggested.
  21. I agree, but it isn’t bullying was my point. I don’t either actually. I know what’s in the vendor, apologies if I wasn’t clear. But, isn’t most of what’s in there available on AH in some capacity as well?
