So first let me say that I have loved your posts about SoAs and the real point of this is to just pick your brain a bit on how much of an improvement you are seeing vs your old crab top end build (linked below) which I have been using since I ran across it. I will say freeing up 18 purple enhancements does have some appeal to it! So key differences that I am seeing off the bat: The loss of one pet and Arctic Breath (which is likely made up for in the rotation that you are using). Loss of some recharge (which you cover in your post). Loss of some melee and AOE defense (I am assuming hover is used for staying at range). Your new build has higher recovery rates. More procs in your build. An entirely different chain. So a loss of Channelgun, Longfang, Suppression from the build. I think those cover the major differences. So how does it do in comparison? Is it 20% higher damage potential? More/Less? (I don't think you would have gone to all of the obvious effort if it wasn't somewhat of a substantial change.   2. Started a BR/SR a few days a go and I must say I am having fun with it. That being said the Psychic hole in the defenses has been rather frustrating at higher levels. I will post my build below but what I am hoping for is some advise on how to close the psychic hole a bit. I have been doing the Maria J arc and the abundance of psychic attacks has made me critically aware of how vulnerable I am to these untyped attacks. Something of note, you will see that my build only goes up to 44 currently. I am currently 48 however, unlike many characters I build, I have no idea what 2 additional powers to add and where to put additional slots. I have already over slotted my defenses due to the fact that I had nowhere else that I really wanted to put those slots....strange to stay the least. Anyways here is my build and I would appreciate any advice you can provide. Also I do plan on enhancing the Sentinel ATO's to superior versions and putting Ragnarok in Overcharge once I hit 50 but for the sake of where my build is now I left them as is.   4. I have an Ele/SH brute that I sometimes use to farm with. Last week I took him into an S/L Cave Farm to help level another character and I found that BuildUp (BU) wasn't increasing the damage that Shield Charge (SC) and Lightning Rod (LR) were doing. It did increase the damage that every other Ele attack did. Is this a known issue? Does it have something do with the fact these attacks are summoning a pseudo pet and the damage boost isn't transferring over? By the end of the cave mission I had changed my rotation to SC > LR > BU > other electric attacks instead of BU first because of this issue. Any info would be helpful.
  5. Posted a build earlier today but took it down due to the fact that I remembered that I had to switch it out because Pines was allowing Power Boost with no pre-requisite powers. The below build has soft capped defenses (with Power Boost) and no hasten. I could fit Hasten in as my 49th power or could add maneuvers with another LoTG but wasn't sure which direction I wanted to go since in most cases 160% global recharge is sufficient for me (Chrono Shift isn't currently perma however it seems to be the only power that I would even care to come back any quicker). Is there a general tier list that someone can point me towards that shows the following?: Archetype Damage Potential: A ranking of all archetypes that details with maximum investment how much damage (and yes I know that AOE and Single target damage are separate but I am just looking more in general) each archetype is capable of. So something like: Blasters > Scrapper > Brute >>>>>>>>>>Defenders > Tank (I am not saying this is the case just an example). & Archetype Survival Potential: A ranking that shows, again in General, the survival capabilities of each archetype. So again something like: Tanks > Brutes > Mastermind > Scrapper >>>>>>> Blaster Any advice would be appreciated.
  7. Had a general question related to the crab build. Where does it fall on the damage scale? What I mean is that in general the damage scale looks something like (in some order, I am not trying to make an accurate list because I don't know myself): Blasters, Scrappers, Brutes, ……... Defenders Tank. Then for survival scale it is something like: Tanks, Brutes, MMs (in Bodyguard) …… Blasters. Can you help be understand where the max build Crab that you provided a build for resides on this scale. I am trying to figure out my next character and am leaning towards the crab build you posted but it is expensive and I would rather understand prior to putting the investment in.   9. The problem with Power Boost is that it is available for such a short amount of the level range. That means anytime I would be examplared below it I would compromise my defensive abilities for some additional offense. I would much rather stay alive and be slower than have more offense but a hole in my defense. Just the way I play. Additionally while solo, I mostly play as a tankermind. Since I take the brunt of the alpha having soft-capped defense at lower levels is fairly necessary when playing in an upgraded difficulty. Additionally, with me taking the alpha, the need for soft-capped defenses on the pets themselves is reduced and as such I don't see a need to slot the Level 2 pets with any Defense IOs. Also I don't need scorpion shield to self cap anything. The build I posted is self-capped to all positional defense attacks without the need for Scorpion Shield. What I was hoping for advice on was there any key sets that I forgot about that would allow me to change the slotting of my Pets to open up the offensive game a bit. Just my 2 cents.

Just from an initial look you can free up the following slots as they are adding almost no value: 1 slot from Hasten 2 slots from Deflection (you do not need the added defense IOs) 1 (maybe 2 slots) from Stamina You have too many LoTG +Recharge slotted. Pretty sure you can only use 5 of them and you have 6 slotted in. Is there a reason you haven't slotted unrelenting fury in? Not sure if you can have both specific sets in or not. If you can, I would recommeding adding this set into the build. You are missing an easy 3% defense all by not having steadfast slotted into either tough or one with the shield. Is there a recharge breakpoint you are trying to hit?   13. I am trying to build a defense soft-capped build without using Power Boost while still doing the most damage I can. So far this is where I am but you will notice that there is a lot of empty and/or unassigned slots. I would love any recommendations for upping my damage while maintaining my ability to be soft-capped to positional damage.
