  1. It didn't make ENOUGH money. In their eyes, yeah, because when you're a greedy company like NCSoft, you never make enough money, regardless of what IP they publish..
  2. A definite no from me. While the thought behind a damage meter is all well and good, not everyone shares the same train of thought, and in 99% of the cases a damage meter is introduced to a game, elitism and toxicity is brought along with it. Don't need that here. The game is about having fun with other players without having to worry about how well you're performing, and worrying that you might not be taken along for the ride if others see that you might not perform the way they want you to perform. I've seen just how bad things can get when a damage meter is introduced to a game and it's never a good thing, no matter how novel the idea.
  3. Because it's their original (intellectual property) IP and it is copyright protected, and as long as they hold the license, and refuse to sell it, there's very little that can be done about it. Anyone starting up a private server for any game runs the risk of a cease and desist letter from the developer's lawyers at any time for that single reason alone. I know this is a shot in the dark, obviously, but what if the community were to band together, and collectively through email or letters ask NCSoft to sell us the license, they might listen. Wouldn't it be worth it in the long run? It would give those who already work on it here, free rein to do what they want with the game, including monetizing it or parts of it to keep it running, legally. Get a price, do a crowdfunding event, then buy the license. Set up an actual company and brand name. But yeah, like i said, a shot in the dark, still worth trying IMHO.
  4. If you die at the last boss [Avatar of Hamidon] on the mission Attack an Avatar of Hamidon, and you respawn at the hospital, the mission will reset itself and all the mobs will have respawned and you can't get through the final door to enter the boss room, even if your team mates are still fighting the boss. Not sure IF it is a bug or intended but it seems like a bug to me so i wanted to report it!
  5. Ain't no community quite like the CoH community :)
  6. There is only one appropriate song to listen to while waiting. City of Heroes: Kiske & Somerville
