  1. I'm quite new to stalkers and so this build may have some really glaring flaws. Any feedback provided is welcome. Does the build provided further down seem likely to do OK in a variety of endgame content? Intended ST attack chain could go assassin's strike from hide, total focus, energy transfer. Energy punch would fill spots in the attack chain when other powers are not ready and would hopefully keep build up available noticeably more often. The build has multiple circuit breakers if heavy damage starts to flow in and hopefully those would be enough to keep this stalker upright most of the time.   2. Below is a melee-centric human only warshade build. The build goals were to not rely on corpses to stay upright and to use extractions to take DPS to a better place, when that is possible. It should play like a kind of tanktroller that relies on healing from essence drain and stygian circle, plus the two long recharge powers (unrelenting and unleash potential), to patch the limitations in other defenses. This build would be primarily designed for teaming. A few caveats apply. Neither the ST nor the AOE attack chains are likely to be smooth. The ST attack chain has low DPA and DPS. The AOE is a nuke (42 second cooldown, with T4 alpha incarnate) and another PbAOE on a 33ish second coodown, plus 2 cones, with the cones being a bit of work to use to best effect while in melee. Also, defeated foes are still valuable, even if (perhaps, in most situations) not essential because extractions are the key to improving DPS. I also don't know if provoke can function well enough to take aggro from extractions (and teammates, perhaps) with just the base slot in place. On a more positive note, the procs in gravitic emanation and the nuke give this build decent burst damage, along with the judgment incarnate. Sun mire is near perma and the damage boost for each teammate type that boosts damage stacks up quickly to noticeable levels. Thus, although the damage ceiling isn't nearly as high on this build as it is for scrappers or other damage ATs (not by a long shot, at least not without pets up), there are enough self buffs to damage in play (and dark sustenance buffs) to have a fairly high damage floor. Also, as long as the pets can be kept alive overall DPS should be in a decent place. It would be nice to fit in inky aspect. But, it's not easy to pick a power to remove to make way for it.   3. Edit: After feedback, the build was tweaked to what is given in the second reply, given further down. Below is a draft build plan for a mind / earth / primal forces dominator. There's lots of smashiness in the powers and DPA looks pretty good. Endurance management would be a bit finicky because it's managed with clicks. But, it does look doable. The main concern is that defense totals are lower than would be usual for the current meta. It would require aggressive play, essentially keeping things on their back or otherwise mezzed, to stay upright. Timely use of the barrier destiny would also be needed. Any suggestions for tweaking or improving the build below?   4. The following build is meant to be tough enough to stand up to +4x8 Cims (solo or in teams) and to also do very good damage (ST and AOE). Power and incarnate choices were selected with that goal in mind. But, intentions may not match up to reality. So, by all means tear this build apart at the seams and make it better. Or, provide alternative claw builds with a different secondary / epic / patron picks that would rock the Cims in "1 death = failure" MoITF runs (ie: hardcore).   5. I'm still pretty new to the LRSF. My previous runs have been set to the lowest difficulty, or at least I've somehow been shielded from the difficulty being set at +4x8, with very few defeats suffered in the first half dozen runs or thereabouts. That changed when I ran my poison / fire / dark yesterday in a speedy +4x8 LRSF. There were several players who didn't get defeated at all (including a fire / temporal blaster, which suggests knowledge of the strike force is key to doing well). But, my poison / fire / dark defender, who typically thrives in melee, probably had more defeats during that one strike force run than she has had during all previous playtime put together. No other in-game challenges even came close, including MLTFs, +4x8 ITFs, numerous Tin/Pex runs, and so on. So, I have questions about what specific knowledge is needed for the LRSF to keep being in melee safer (or when is it best to stay out of melee as a poisoner). I also have questions about whether her build may need rethinking, if clear flaws are visible (build details below). Something that can't easily be conveyed through a Mids snapshot is that she had T4 incarnates for everything except interface and judgment when running LRSF yesterday. Also, combat teleport, teleport friend / foe, and fold space are the teleport skills actually taken, which can't be shown with the Mids version I am currently using. Feedback is welcome!   6. Hello fellow heroes, villains, and praetorians, I've been playing and tweaking a build for some time now, and finally dinged 50. I think I've finally got it to where I'm pretty happy with the result, but now I find that I've got 10 slots that I don't know where to put them. I was considering changing Speed or my epic, but I don't know which to take. If you guys could look over this build and let me know any changes you'd recommend, I'd be greatly appreciative. I mostly play as a solo ST specialized character, and usually run at +4/x1 without a problem (which is fine for me, as I don't use AoE). I appreciate any constructive criticism you guys can offer. My style isn't the most powerful, but it's fun for me, and gives me great RP capability. - Kraz
  7. Still mostly new to making builds, so I'm sure there are some glaring mistakes here, so I'll appreciate any and all comments. I was going for survival (def/res), mixed offense (st ranged, aoe, and blapping; not sure whether that's a good idea, though). If at all possible, try to keep Hover/Fly/Afterburner in any suggestions. 😃
  8. Human only warshades seem to have five key limitations, as follows: 1. Damage falls behind multiple other ATs 2. Debuffs can noticeably and even substantially limit effectiveness (especially recovery debuffs and defense cascade failure) 3. Mezzes take micro to manage and/or clarion as the destiny incarnate pick 4. Keeping mobs away from pets means taking the presence pool 5. If there are no corpses around for a while then sustain tends to be more difficult (especially after eclipse drops) Most of these are situational and so not necessarily a big limitation on how much we can enjoy playing a warshade (and they are awesome fun, despite their limitations). Still, I was wondering if a bi-form warshade (dwarf / human) could help for managing these limitations. With that in mind I put together a build for which the key points to mention are as follows: Pros: Ageless radial destiny incarnate helps for endurance management and noticeably boosts debuff resistance for all team members Dwarf form has a good damage multiplier; single target melee damage will be quite good Dwarf form offers a free "break free" whenever mezzed in human form Dwarf form offers good resistances and a heal that recharges quickly for when defeated mobs are not present Dwarf form has a taunt power, which helps for keeping pets alive Nuke (Quasar) is available about every 40 seconds, with up to 2(!) mires to boost its damage Burnout is available for when eclipse misfires Unleash potential and vengeance offer occasional and substantial boosts to defense totals; they can sometimes be active together, pushing defenses to softcap 12 points of knockback protection from IOs while in human form means less occasions in which knockback makes eclipse or sunless mire miss all targets A dwarf / human form warshade will probably be easier to play than all human when exemp'd down to lower levels because of built-in mez protection and better sans-eclipse resists Cons: Less defense than some all human builds Considerably less mez potential than all human builds Changing forms takes some micro and slightly reduces DPS The dwarf form MTX doesn't appeal to everybody Feedback is welcome and appreciated!   9. I received quite a bit of feedback in an earlier thread with an ill / storm / psi build, which was very helpful and much appreciated. Now I'm trying to tweak that build by extending my knowledge about IOs to start using procs more effectively and more often. The build below is an attempt to find a balance between keeping defenses and sustain in a reasonably good place, while also taking advantage of proc opportunities available for my ill / storm / psi build, given that I very much enjoy this particular character. For sustain, I've swapped out the medicine pool and taken leadership toggles instead. That ramps up end use, but hopefully within the margins of what can be easily managed. A heal proc in blind and the use of several different procs (including power transfer: chance to heal in stamina) will hopefully be sufficient for healing, when combined with inspirations. Ranged defense is still softcapped, albeit just barely and with no DDR. My understanding is that Soulbound Allegiance: Chance for Build Up affects the summoner, and not the pets, which if true could make it worthwhile as an IO in the phants. Also having the Gaussian build up proc in tactics is apparently more helpful because it can proc based off of teammates, and not just off of my ill / storm. One potential misfit I see is that there doesn't seem to be enough AOE or melee defense to routinely stand in melee range. So, world of confusion looks quite appealing with two damage procs in it. But, it will probably not be quite as valuable as it could be for improving AOE damage. Hopefully it still serves as a kind of makeshift melee range shield with damage as a side benefit; when deceive is layered on bosses can also be turned away. On a related point, I'm considering switching to control core embodiment, away from support, for the hybrid incarnate slot. The extra mag on confuses and holds would be very helpful to patch up weaknesses in defenses. A bit more DOT damage would also be welcome. Blind has become a place for procs, with a damage proc and the entropic heal proc in it. Feedback is welcome and appreciated.
