  1. Sup. First scrapper here, as well as first mace and WP toon. He has a normal human concept just in case you are wondering why I didn't go Mu or something. I don't know if I have the right strategy here for the defenses. I'm trying to hit softcaps, but so far I only did so with melee, which is not that vital since I could have been ~40 and still been good due to the tohit debuff on Rise to the Challenge. Ideally I'd get this in S/L or something but I am still ~5 away. I know I still have resistances to fall back on and all. I am not sure if I should even aim for the goal of softcapping S/L. I'm

One thing I'd really like to work on, if possible, is to create a group repository of information on Sentinels as a whole, explaining what makes a strong pairing from each primary to each secondary and all of the pool powers, as well as what distinguishes Sentinels from Scrappers and Blasters.   4. I want to remake one of my old toons to play the game the long way. Captain Yesterday. He was a regen scrapper, back when they could hardly be killed. After the nerf, toast, and I left live shortly thereafter. I want to remake him as either a soft capped invl/ma tank or a soft capped willpower/ma tank. I just got into the meta of the game, and with numbers visible it all makes more sense. But I am no maestro. I'm looking to play smooth to 50, hold aggro, and not go down.   6. [Reconstruction] power from Stalker > Willpower does not accept Resistance sets, but it does accept normal Resistance IOs and SOs. The original power from Regeneration does accept Resistance sets, so hopefully this is an oversight?

  8. Hello all, First, I'm glad to be playing CoH again. I missed it. I was a lurker/poster on the old boards, so I'm looking forward to doing so here. Now, I wanted to make an I26 WP/SS Tanker based on the old guide @Heraclea made (She's an African Amazonian I've named Heracleo). I figure to take my tank to 50 on Level 25 IOs, and then look to sets to make her better.   9. Hey there, So like the subject line says, I'm strongly considering making my next character a Psi Melee/Willpower Scrapper. I tried out Psi Melee last fall, and that's fine, but anything I ever knew about how to build/slot a Willpower character has evaporated over time. Anyone got any advice on this one?   10. So the below build is me spending a lot of time on Mids and in-game (I actually farmed up all the enhancements below in the last couple of weeks.) I wanted some input from the community if this was just overkill and if there are any glaring issues because I've stared at it so much I'm going cross-eyed. Alpha is Agility, Destiny is Ageless and Hybrid is Assault (extra hits version.) I kept trimming back on endurance because I was so far over cap when Ageless was up and it might still be too much. I was trying to stretch as much damage and sustainability out of the build as I could. Any feedback
  11. I'd like to preface this by saying that I am absolutely terrible at making builds. Always was, probably always will be. In addition, this is the first build I've made since (I think) I18, so what little skill I had at making builds is probably now at least 99% composed of rust.   12. Hey everyone. I've been having trouble finding a consensus on WM/WP on the forums or any website in general. I started by using what builds I could find and then tweaked them with the help of the in-game Help chat and the Homecoming discord to create this build. I'd like to preemptively state that Laser Beam Eyes is a purely for fun and I'm sure there's another set that would be a better min/max.   14. Trying out my first Savage Melee/Willpower Brute, and I have questions. This is the build I've come up with in Mids thus far, and I wonder if I'm badly gimping myself. Are any of the primary or secondary powers readily skippable without too much harm? I'm strongly considering dumping Shred, as I'm not terribly fond of melee cones. That would let me move various other powers back earlier, give me skill slots to spend on Weave and a couple other places, and free up a power slot to spend on Energy Mastery/Superior Conditioning, which doesn't really need any slotting.

Looking to be viable in both solo and team play.   17. I am having a blast on this guy, got a Sabertooth feel going on. He had regen, endurance and dots! Only problem is, I am not so great with builds. Any ideas, what I can skip or absolute needs?   18. I have been looking at both of these in Pines. With 26 slots left to go I can easily get Invul def to 39.6% S/L, 37.1% E/N/F/C, and 29.5% psi, with res 90% S/L, 48.2% E/N,Toxic, 45.2% F/C, and 55.7% Psi. Regen at 216%, HP 188%, 50% DDR. At about the same amount of difficulty, Willpower has def 26.3% S/L, 37.2% F/C/E/N, 32.5% Psi with res 90% S/L, 31.1% F/C/Toxic, 34.8% E/N, and 66.5% Psi. Regen at 663%, HP 162.2%, 21.6% DDR. Willpower also has better status protection to confuse and fear, and better status resistance. I want to pair this armor set with Stone Melee. The qu
  19. I'm currently playing a Willpower / Psionic Melee (up to 32 as of this posting) and could use some help optimizing the build. My goal is to get at or near the resistance cap of 90% for Smashing and Lethal, at or near the defense cap for Energy and Negative Energy, and a strong combo of Defense and Resistance for Psionic. I'd also like to fulfill my primary role as a tank who can gain and keep aggro, and contribute some damage.   20. A friend and I want to do a "Dynamic Duo" partnership and level up together as a two-person team. He is playing a Will Power / Staff Fighting Tanker. What would be the most complimentary and effective archetype and power set to play along side him? I was thinking an empathy defender, or would some kind of controller be better?

  23. So its been a long long time since I have even thought about slot priorities and enhancement sets and ED problems when looking in to all of this. Would anyone happen to have a resource to help look into the priorities for slots and possible enhancement theory crafting for WP specifically, cause I think it then comes down to looking at what you have remaining to put into SJ after you've made sure you can't die to anything.
