Darkir Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 (edited) In looking at mids, it looks like greater fire sword is slightly worse than Scorch, Incinerate, or Cremate in terms of dps. In high recharge builds could you get away with a Scorch > Cremate > Incenerate ST attack chain? It looks like this would actually be better dps than including greater fire sword at all. Of coursem this is very disappointing for a T9 power. Edited September 29, 2019 by Darkir
Mr. Vee Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 If you look at damage/animation - i.e. arcana time, GFS is 3rd highest behind incinerate and very slightly, cremate. Scorch is below regular fire sword as well.

Mr. Vee Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 That's a whole thing for the pylon people to answer. The way I understand it you look at dps until you have an uninterrupted chain at which point you look at dpa, but it's out of my depth really.
Frostweaver Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 It is not, but DPA directly affects mitigation through destruction, as well as how many attacks you can cram into the space of a single buildup, which can affect your DPS.
