Defender Kintank build. cap M/R def, cap s/l res, 50% E res, perma hasten

Someone in my SG wanted me to make a defender version of my fire/kin kintank corr. So, I made this. Being a defender really increases your ability to softcap your melee/ranged defense. You won't do as much damage as a corruptor, but you will be relatively safe to all damage types in the game. You have perma hasten with two siphon speeds. I considered making this a proc build, but you really need the full set bonuses to get to the softcap because kinetics has no powers that help with personal survival. I went with conserve power over vengeance and another lotg, but thats up to you. I personally think not needing to use transference for 90 seconds is worth it. You take the agility alpha because this is not a proc build. 

 

Remember with enhancements (about 95%) you only need to get to about 205% dmg buff to hit the defender dmg cap.

 

Repel is taken for the knockdown and FF proc, its the only mitigation kinetics gets so I take it. Plus that proc is great.

Sorry i know this is old but would you have an ice version of this build?   I want to buff teammates but still be able to play solo if necessary and my first main was an ice/kin and I would like to revisit the set in defender instead of corruptor

Edit: Hold on, my mids is messed up a little after I updated and the build I made just now does not have the right numbers.

 

Edit 2: OK, I think I have it sorted. Here is the build I recommend for kin/ice who wants to be positionally softcapped. You may get more out of a s/l/ranged build with scorpion shield and rune of protection because of the the mez protection. Mez protection can be very nice and useful if you want to solo at +4x8, but with this build you will still only have a 5% chance to get hit by any mez protection. I'll look into that after this post.

Edit 2: OK, I think I have it sorted. Here is the build I recommend for kin/ice who wants to be positionally softcapped. You may get more out of a s/l/ranged build with scorpion shield and rune of protection because of the the mez protection. Mez protection can be very nice and useful if you want to solo at +4x8, but with this build you will still only have a 5% chance to get hit by any mez protection. I'll look into that after this post.

Thanks so much for putting these together - I am thinking for ice/kin though, especially if I will be using it mostly as buffer/debuffer (slows), the corruptor would be a better option.  What are your thoughts?  I think I found a corruptor you posted from the past that I am sure is still relevant but I may just make both and see
