I want to preface this that I have 0 clue what I am doing but I cobbled a build together and... Yeah, its not pretty and I would like some help on it from people who actually know how to theorycraft since I am a brain-dead idiot when it comes to it

 

Basically I want to get a Axe/Shield Scrapper with as much DPS as possible with some def/res to do solo and some support to do teams when I need to.[EDIT: Now that I think about with the name and whatnot, we could do with some KB/KD as well for the lulz] I only used IOs as a base but might replace with SOs while I am leveling

 

I would also like to get an 'end-game' build for it with set IOs/Incarnates but I'd rather settle with this atm

 

Again, I must re-iterate, I am a brain-dead idiot when it comes to making builds/theorycrafting so any help that I can get on making this better like getting diff. pools, epic pools, diff. assortment on the enhancement slots will be greatly appreciated

Added a few powers that were crucial to your player and moved some slots around. Battle Agility adds your ranged and aoe defense and I dropped assault and tactics to shore up your defense and resistance. I added the Steadfast Protection: Resistance/Defense IO to your build, it is super cheap to get, 50 reward merits, and adds a ton of utility to your build. Also don't call yourself a brain dead idiot, that's not nice. :p

Thank you very much, and just fyi, I'm always into self-deprecating humor so no need to feel bad about me calling myself an idiot :P. I wasn't entirely to sure about the assault/tactics myself and didn't know if I needed the extra dmg/to hit or not and I also completely forgot about Battle Agility. Also I think that steadfast prot costs 20 reward merits, since its a yellow so even better

Ok, so I edited the build for end-game usage I dont think its perfect and could use some adjusting but I feel pretty solid about this, I am up for changing some things if need be for better defense/resist or just out-right ignoring KB on it (since I do have a KB set on it) but basically with it I wanna max out my end. recovery, my recharge, and my usage of end. along with maximum damage (as much as I can without sacrificing the before-mentioned) as well as my resist/defense

Are Battle Axe and Warmace close enough that i could just use the same slotting basically?

 

I would say yes on Murcielago's slotting but with the same skills even, I would swap kick with boxing for obvious reasons

Axe, Mace, and Broadsword are very similar.  Look at what attacks you want for your cycle (which will depend on +RCHG) and you can frankly pick for asthetic reasons as much as anything.

 

Mace in my experience shows better compared to the other two than its numbers would suggest - Smashing resistance seems less intense than Lethal (Lethal damage sets get a onock due to the large number of enemies with resistance - particularly anything robotic)

Elecutrix - Electric Blast/Super Reflexes Sentinel

Ok, now I refined the 'end-game' build a bit with some research and reading some of the set bonuses, I changed Deflections to 4 Red Fortune/2 Steadfast because I don't need 2 separate reactive defense sets, changed Swoops entire set into a better set with Mako's Bite instead of Touch of Death for a better dmg buff and some other neato bonuses, Phys. Perfections IOs to a performance shifter, cause energy manip. is not that great and finally, changed manuevers IOs to one LotG (recharge) and 3 gifts for that sweet end. recovery and resists

And im back again with a minor update to it, I just realized that Overwhelming Force,that I had slotted into Gash, is a Holiday IO set which I dont want, so I replaced it with a much cheaper Kinetic Crash giving even more smash/lethal res. as well as some KB/KD resist

You have more defense than you actually need, 45% is the softcap but a little more can't hurt to cover for any debuffs. You can switch out some of those defense bonuses for something else e.g. recharge, recov, regen, etc... Looks great though.
