I have a badge, under Accolades, called "Flames of Prometheus Conversion". It's below Geas of the Kind Ones, and above Chronomaster. I don't see it on your spreadsheet, nor the Web app. Wish I'd known I could have traded it in for salvage when I was going down the incarnate path - had no idea.

Flames.png

Flames has been included and removed various times over the life of the spreadsheet and now this app due to it's weird nature; it doesn't actually count as a badge for the badge count... and once you redeem it, there's no way to get it again...

I could code a whole system for "badges that are badges but aren't badges"... but the easiest thing do do for now was to just take it out again.

Ah...so that's why my badge count on my character is the same as the badge count on the app, despite not being able to log the badge...ugh. I wish I'd known that. I pored over everything to see what I overlooked and didn't find anything.

The web app is certainly easy to use, and I do appreciate your effort. I can't imagine the time it must have taken just in entering the names of the badges, not to mention the graphic and the locations, etc. Thanks!

While we're talking about badges that "don't count"... Bug Hunter!

Currently on the tracker Bug Hunter (under Accolades) counts towards your badge total just like any other badge. However, apparently, the badge itself doesn't change your ingame badge count. So if you were to code sometime for badges that exist but don't count towards the total, this one would one of them.

I don't have the badge myself, so I can't check it to be 100% sure about it... but I'm confident this is the case based on Jimmy's response in this thread (https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/12354-bug-hunter-badge

EDIT: I played around on the beta server a bit and I'm now confirming this. Granting myself the Bug Hunter badge on the beta server does not affect the badge total on the character it was granted to. So it's definitely a "doesn't count" badge.

Guess I should bite that bullet and add a way to make badges not really badges... https://github.com/n15g/coh-content-db/issues/4

Eh, as far as I know there are only 2 of those. And one disappears once you use it. Seems like a lot of work for a relatively small payout.

Where are we going, and why am I in this hand basket?

Anyone know anything about the font used for the console/UI in-game? I was thinking it might be cool to style parts of the site using that font, like the badge descriptions.
The marketing material Red Circle font is in the fan site kit, but I can't find anything about the in-game fonts...

Though, from what I've heard about the UI code it wouldn't surprise me to learn that text is rendered from some god-awful, custom-built nightmare spaghetti sprite of doom.

I did a git grep -i font on Segs-Assets and the fonts listed are: "Cantarell, CuppaJoe, DejaVu Sans, Hussar Nova, M+ 1c, anf TexGyreCursor"

Unsure where each is used currently, but I think those are free fonts.  (Will have to do a little more research)

Of course, I could have just looked at Seg-Assets/Fonts

Free for Commercial Use:

Cantarell: https://www.1001fonts.com/cantarell-font.html

CuppaJoe: https://www.1001fonts.com/cuppajoe-font.html

DejaVu Sans: https://www.1001fonts.com/dejavu-sans-font.html

Hussar Nova: https://www.fontspace.com/kineticplasma-fonts/hussar-nova

TexGyreCursor: https://www.1001fonts.com/tex-gyre-cursor-font.html

M+ 1c: https://www.fontspace.com/m-fonts/m-1c

Free for Personal Use (non-profit ok):

SF Laundromatic: https://www.1001fonts.com/sf-laundromatic-font.html

Where they're actually used in the game, unsure, and I do note some more fonts in the Source in a style sheet, but since that pertains to font families: "Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, Sans Serif", is more a choice based on what is on the player's system.

That's excellent, thanks!
It looks like M+ 1c is the console font, with a black shadow and that slight gradient I should be able to reproduce the in-game look and feel pretty closely. Neat!

Fantastic work!

In entering my character's badges, I noted a few badge data discrepancies:

  • The exploration (and accolade) badges for The Abyss can be earned by a hero, using the sub in PI
  • These Praetorian badges can be earned by a hero via Ouroboros:  Moral High Ground, Resistance Member, Loyalist
  • Bloody Hands can be earned by a hero (not exactly sure how, but my hero-only character has it, I think there was an old bug report about this)
  • The Repairman badge is Repairwoman for a female character
  • The Newsman badge is Newsgirl (not Newswoman) for a female character
  • Thanks 2

I'll fix these up as soon as I can; my dev laptop is being repaired at the moment, so probably some time next year.

Does anyone have any more info on Bloody Hands? I'm reticent to change it if it is actually a bug.

It's not a bug. Running the 3rd mission of episode 4 of the 'Who Will Die' story arc at x2 team size should net the 25 kills needed for the Bloody Hands badge. If you want a little more info you can check the posts in these threads: Safeguard/Mayhem BadgesMayhem Mission FarmAccolade Guide: 4 Passive Bonuses.

I was going to look into some/all of these issues too over the holiday break, so I may go ahead and submit some pull requests with any corrections as appropriate if you don't beat me to it!

I verified these in-game, edited the files, and submitted the pull requests.

Hey everyone... I finally got set back up to work on this, and merged all of ATC's work in, as well as the fix for Bug Hunter and Flames of Prometheus showing up in totals.

The fixes should all be live now.

You have an error in your Badger.  I found it in your Exploration Badges.

Two badges in Kings Row have the same coordinates.  One of them is wrong.

You have Upgraded and Summoned with the same coordinates.

Thanks! I submitted a pull request with the corrected coordinates for Summoned.

More I go through the exploration badges, I am stumbling upon error. LOL

Now I have discovered that a badge in The Sewer network has the same coordinates as a badge in The Abandoned Sewer Network.

Persephone and that Vazhilok badge I believe.  Coordinates given are  320.0   -576.0     1536.0

It's the same for both of them.

I confirmed that the Persephone Supplicant badge (in Abandoned Sewer Network) and the Terror of the Vahzilok badge (in Sewer Network) are in the same coordinates in their respective zones. I took screenshots too but I won't post those unless needed.

I submitted a number of pull requests to add missing settitle IDs to the winter event and valentines event badges. If anyone notices any other badges missing settitle IDs, please let me know.

I have an odd question.  I've been using the spreadsheet for awhile, and saw that it will no longer be supported so I thought of switching to the WebApp.  Is there a way of quick adding information from the spreadsheet to the App?  or will I have to bite the bullet and re-select every badge?

Thanks!
