Hi Folks,

I'm somewhat new at this.  I'm trying to come up with a build for my SS/Electric brute.  I've just started to use the new Mid/Pine's (and having a bit of a time with placing slots - lol).  Would someone take a look at this build and critique it / rip it apart.  I'm still one slot short that can be used.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks!!

Depends on what you want the brute to do. Mine has taunt, is immune to slows, used Unbreakables in all resists save for Grounded (which held a +def IO), and has 40 melee def to go with near capped resists to all but psi, negative and toxic. It can tank and farm but it’s not the best dps out there.

 

1. Your accuracy is too low due to kinetic combats  so maybe make room for a kismet plus to hit. If you’re fighting 50-51s and your alpha slot is in you’re fine.

 

2. -Res proc goes Nicely from the annihilation set in fences 

 

3. and if you have room Fury of the gladiator-res in LF unless you can go all in on the fury building ATO set in it.

 

4. combat jumping is a better proc mule than maneuvers as it costs nothing and let’s you resist immobilizes when you leave the ground.  
 

What def numbers are you going for?

Thanks for D-Sync Enhancements! Just wish things like Resist/End, Heal/End and Damage/Mez had a third stat that made them more viable. Suggestions - add Recharge to Ribosomes, Range to Golgis, and Slows to Peroxisomes. These changes would allow for an endurance cost/range, recharge/endurance, and slow/mez or slow/damage enhancements.

Thanks for the reply Rejolt.  I'm somewhat new at this.  I actually had Taunt and dumped it for Maneuvers at the last minute but I could go either way on that.  I know the soft cap is 45% and I'm a bit over that but I'm a bit paranoid about debuffs.  I guess I'm looking for more of a rounded toon that deals solid DPS but isn't a glass cannon.  Accuracy being low is a good point though.  A 40 melee is solid.  I guess I'm looking for a build that can solo pretty well.  It doesn't have to be a buzz saw - I'd rather have survivability than DPS and no endurance issues for the most part.  I do want Mu Mastery as that fits the character concept.  Other than that, I'm open.

Softcapped Melee Defense at 47.8% 

Smashing / Lethal Defense at 40%

Smash/Lethal Resistance at 80.3%

Energy Resistance at 90%

Uses 2 Force Feedback procs.
