I dont know if it's a bug or not, but thought id bring it up just in case

The Arachnos helmets cant be re colored on non arachnos characters, and the crab back pack shows up in the tailor and character creator for non arachnos characters but doesnt show when you enter back in to the game with that back pack selected. Bug or by design for these issues? Cuz id sure love that female round widow helmet for non arachnos ATs but not stuck with it being purple-ish blue >.<

It's a bug that the crab backpack shows up in Icon at all for non-Crabs, yes.  You aren't supposed to see it, and you're not supposed to have it.

 

The Arachnos helmets under Unique Helms are from a preorder thing and those were never recolorable.  Customizable Arachnos uniforms are for Arachnos soldiers.

That sucks lol. That color scheme for the unique widow helm (for non arachnos characters) is just awful. Thanks for the answers
